All of the staff that I came in to contact with were professional and friendly. The food overall was good and the room was of a good standard. I found the bed to be particularly uncomfortable and something that I ate during dinner gave me quite bad stomach ache for a couple of days. |

The hotel is a very handy jump-off point for both the lakes and the dales. All the facilities are handy at the hotel, we particulatly liked Alexander's bar as it is like a pub but out of the hotel. |

As a wedding guest i thought you catered extremely well at the reception. The Waiter service was polite and efficient. The grounds are perfect for an outdoor wedding service. |

the swimming pool 1.the restricted time at the pool for children and the room size which is very small and not very comfortable. 2. breakfast was very dismal. we had burnt inedible toast that came very late. Coffee was so weak that i left most of it untouch |

The hotel looks attractive and the gardens are a good feature. We had a room at the front which had a balcony and a very good view of the gardens and the hills beyond. The room was quite small but comfortable. Breakfast was good. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening choosing to go to the pub attached to the hotel as it had a better vegetarian selection. The extractor fan in the bathroom only worked on one day. |

Large, airy hotel within close proximity to motorway. Extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. The meal we enjoyed at the Greenhouse restaurant was beautifully presented, delicious and highly recommended. Thoroughly efficient waiting staff. Breakfast also of a high standard with plenty of choice. Bedrooms smaller than expected, and bed adequate rather than overly comfortable. We were accomodated in ground floor room with a view of the rear staff entrance. Travelled with my partner and parents, both pensioners, and the hotel was chosen for its claimed peace and quiet. |

Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient location for Kendal and The Lakes, but in a quiet location just out of the town. The refurbished rooms were clean the beds were very comfortable and our 4 rooms were all very quiet. The buffet breakfast was tasty (full range of English Breakfast, Continental, cereals, fruit etc) no extra charge for anything at breakfast (which conflicts with Booking. Although there is sufficient disabled car parking, the signs directing us to all of them was not clear enough. We parked in the disabled area on the 'middle' level but had to climb steps to the hotel entrance where we discovered another car parking level with more disabled parking. If you park on the 'top' level there are no steps to climb up. |

I was most impressed with the friendliness of all the staff, they were very helpful yet professional nothing was to much trouble. The gardens were beautifullykept as was the whole hotel complex. The icing on the cake for both my husband and myself was the food, we could not fault it.So thank you Castle Green, we would choose to stay again. |
