Friendly staff. Absolute brilliant value for money. Excellently placed in the centre of town. Clean rooms, comfy beds.
We stayed due to a work christmas party. The room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee faclities excellent. Bathroom soaps and shower gels provided. Towels clean. Room warm when you switch the heater on. Staff outstanding and respond to questions straight away.
Theres a smell of damp up onthe forth floor when you get off the lift thats quite strong. The tv next door was left on all night for some reason.
The room was perfect for what we needed
It was too close to the town centre so at night time when the pubs were closing it was very loud
Location....near shops restaurants and leisure centre.
Noisy street, noisy neighbours. Complained about noise next door.....partying, banging walls etc.Security said he would phone them. That made no difference.Complained again and asked to be moved. In fairness we were mored to a very inferior room, which thankfully was quiet but the bed, although clean, was old, unsupportive, lumpy and bumpy.Couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning.Whole hotel could do with a total refurb as dated, dingy and drab.
Helpful and welcoming staff, spacious room, great evening meal and breakfast. Very handy for a Cardiff stopover or seeing the local sites, of which there are many.
Bed a bit soft (which could be a plus for some).
Carpets were a bit stained, place was a bit tired.
The whole entering and leaving of the hotel is welcoming warm and friendly,
Was quite noisy
really nice place to stay, friendly staff and great value for money
Large, clean rooms. Mattress very comfortable. Well done
Good central location, plenty of places to eat and drink. Free secure parking nearby Friendly staff
Thanks to road closures it was quite tricky to get to by following sat nav
we both had a good stay with you all and the staff was very good to an help full as well.
Loved the porter man!! He's a little pet..
Hotel was too warm!
Friendly staff. Generous food portions. comfortable bed. Clean sheets. Sufficient clean towels and soap.
Shower not working properly. Interior of room needs improvement. 1 loose electrical socket. 1 socket not seeming to function (I was advised there may be a switch to flip, but could not locate it). Could hear muffled voices in neighbouring rooms at night.
The overall stay
Could of been quieter
The staff were excellent, they were friendly and looked after us well. The breakfast was lovely.
The room was a bit tired, and could do with some attention, however this didn't matter to us as we wanted somewhere to sleep and it was good value for money
Noise outside from gangs of teenagers Windows single glazed and did not shut properly. Hotel very dated and could do with a refurbishment. Limited parking. Old pipe system for heating (didnt work or was not switched on)
First night of stay, food and service was outstanding
poor ventilation in the room, we were given a fan which wasnt much help as the feet and fan mounting were broken. Breakfast on Saturday was mediochre and lukewarm, dinner on Saturday was poor, in fact one meal, the tagliatelle was swimming in oil and inedible!!!!, we were also given wrong times for Sunday breakfast and consequently we had no breakfast although we were offered tea and toast at the full breakfast price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good location, nice staff, good value for money
Although designated non-smoking, the room smelt like previous occupant(s) had smoked in the room.
3 minutes from bus, railway stn and shopping.Excelent touring base for Brecon Beacons national park.
Parking is free after 6pm,however at 8am cars must be either removed from the lot,or put on a meter
clean and a central location
noisy form outside. very warm in hotel
the hotel has been run (Sunday afternoon - evening) by two people, one of them the cook. dinner (remainings from lunch) were extremely poor. Service due to lack of personell very poor.
comfortable bed good sleep . very reasonable bar prices staff polite and freindly
no draw front on bedside cabinet breakfast very poor quality and cold had to pay £5.50 for a bowl of cereal for a 3 year old child . discusting price
