Easy and speedy booking process. Lack of parking. No option given for breakfast. Hotel needs a bit of money spending on it to bring it dragging into the last decade at least. Couldn't understand why I had to pay on arrival but not given a receipt until departure.

Staff very friendly, politely asked if we minded waiting as only one person on duty doubling up. Rooms well furnished and comfortable -beds also comfortable.I would come to this hotel again. Having to wait to be attended to, one girl trying to run between bar and reception. Also VERY hot, could have done with turning the heating down in view of the heatwave weather outside whilst we were there. Also parking would have been difficult if I didn't have a blue badge .Was noisy at night from revellers (bank holiday weekend) but this wasn't the hotel's fault.

Smoking room. Very close to town and local amenities. Staff were friendly. Night staff on the front door throughout the night. Plenty of pillows. Room was large. Valance sheets on bed (ones that cover the base of the bed) were stained with, what looked like, blood. The small decorative pillow was absolutely filthy. The shower did not work - the pipe was split so we had to take bath's instead. The radiator would not switch on -the room was warm enough as it was a warm day, but one could imagine this being a problem on colder days. No extending check-out time.

It is in the city center -There were holes in the sheets -There was a bus seat in the room that was covered with carpet - The bathroom smelt like human feicies. - The carpets, curtains did not match - The hotel smelt like a nursing home - There were no working sockets in the room. - The receptionist was rude -There are no parking facilities -The light stitches were on a box by the bed, very outdated -

This hotel is an absolute dive, whoever gave it a 3 star rating needs to take off the 'rose coloured glasses' or go visit an optician. The place needs to be completely gutted and a completed re-furbishment is required, needless to say we didn't stay a second night.
