The location is perfect - right opposite the castle. A lovely relaxed stay - with free wi-fi, clean rooms, a lovely breakfast and nice, discreet owners who are there when you need them but do not fuss over you. Thank you, I shall recommend anyone to stay here.

Clean and comfortable bedroom. Excellent cooked breakfast, with friendly service. Good location for visiting Warwickshire countryside, Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick and Coventry. Historic Kenilworth Castle across the road. Plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby. Castle Laurels ideal for business people, couples and families. Recommended.

This must be one of the friendliest and best equipped little hotels we have ever stayed in. There was a computer to use. The room and en-suite were very nicely presented and well provided with fruit, bottled water, fresh milk and all the tea and coffee you could want. The linen was sparkling and there were plenty of towels. The breakfast was excellent and the host very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants nearby. Could not fault it - great value.

Good breakfast, Clean room (number 6) owners thoughfully provide bottled water in a fridge on landing. Location good for siteseeing and countryside. Also handy for Warwick, Stoneleigh and nec. Tea making facilities in room as well as some fresh fruit. The owners obviously try hard. Room 6 (and 5) would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as both at top of very steep 2nd floor stairs. Road noise may be another issue for light sleepers particularly if you like the window open.. Bed in room 6 not particularly comfortable. Castle Laurels does what it says on the tin, a typical English guest house.Perhaps a tad pricey at £65 for single occupancy. Car park at rear accessed via an arch may be a bit tight if you are not a confident driver.

The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was provided in the rooms and fresh milk was available. Breakfast starts at 7.30 on a week day which is a bit late if you are staying for business reasons.

Owners were helpful and friendly Room was clean and comfortable Lounge was uncomfortable in use - settees were placed near the windows and the tv was placed at the opposite end of the room behind a dining table and chairs, so that it couldn't be seen properly both in lounge and bedroom yhe lighting level was so low that it was very difficult to read a newspaper or a book.

The location was perfect - within walking distance of Kenilworth Castle and the lovely Abbey Fields. I'd only driven through Kenilworth once before when my daughter and I were visiting Warwick University, but the location made a huge impression on me. It seemed natural to track it down when the time came for my husband and I to have a short break to catch up with my daughter, and also to enjoy a mini holiday. The Guest House is situated in the older part of the town, but still within a reasonable walking or driving distance to find restaurants, shops, pubs if required. Although, near a main road and having a room at the front, our stay was quiet and noise free. Enjoyable choice of breakfasts too! Only a minor quibble - room was very hot on arrival - we were staying towards the end of October - one of the mildest for years. Easily rectified by turning down thermostat on radiator. Soap dispenser in bathroom didn't work - the battery had run out! Probably an unnecessary gadget - but yet again no problem.

Nice friendly staff who gave us a warm welcome and checked eveything was ok. B&b situated in a good location, decent value for money with a lovely full English breakfast. Steep steps up to our attic room. The tv was a bit temperamental.

We stayed at this guest house so that we could go and see the firework display in the castle grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering ideas for how to spend our time in and around Kenilworth. The rooms were cosy and comfy and a evry high quality breakfast. Would definately recommend and return. The room was a bit hot!

“We enjoyed a warm welcome from the very friendly staff ,which always adds to your stay. The building was wonderful, just the right mix of old and new ! The late afternoon meal of ,fish and chips was good but the ;"Full English Breakfast" really did it for me.The location was perfect and so atmospheric too;also near to so many places to visit.Sadly we were not able to stay more than one night but we do plan to arrange another visit to ,Old Mill Inn. ” John, Stoke-on- |
