clean room, very friendly owners
Loved everything about our stay, can not fault it
The hotel owners couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The rooms were very clean with everything you would ever want close to hand. Lot of lovely walks close by, we had a great weekend away and the perfect stay.
friendly man running it solo and his best to cater the need.
no facilities for evening meals. Only with two rooms, both are very congested. MY wife felt a bit claustrophobic!
Loved the location, very very helpful and friendly. A cracking breakfast
Pillows where a little uncomfortable
Friendly and helpful host. Good breakfast. Beautiful area. Stylishly decorated. Very quiet and relaxing.
Shower, no shower base meant water surrounded all the floor including usage of toilet and basin. Guess it's for disabled guests, but still inconvenient.
- pet friendly - helpful owners - beautiful location - lots of amenities - comfortable
staff friendly/helpfull.know the area and tell you how to get there
one good pub.other2 deadin the water.but the staff done only what they had to.nine thirty in the night they mentioned it looks like an early night for us on both nights.thanks for yourcash.not.welcoming at all
Warm welcome. Comfy lounge. Super room with loads of facilities including an electric wine cooler!
Bathroom contained many part-used toiletries giving the impression that we were using a family bathroom
Location was good. Staff very friendly and made you feel at home. Very willing to help you enjoy the local area by highlighting points of interest that you could visit as well. All round good experience and will stay again.
Only negative would be that the bed was a bit firm for our liking. Otherwise excellent facilities!!
Friendly staff, lovely food, great room with good facilities and an enjoyable stay. Felt relaxed. A great week away.
As we have 2 children with Autism and found it through National Autistic society, maybe a more secure area to run around outside but the trampoline was great!
They try hard to make you comfortable and you will notice it. You will find everything you could possibly need and more, always to your disposal but never in an intrusive manner. Worth visiting if your around Wales and the Brecon beacons NP.
The place was just like a home from home! I was made to feel very welcome. The facilities were fantastic; smart TV's and wifi in every room. Information on all the local walks, attractions, pubs etc. The guest lounge and kitchen were equipped with everything you would ever need. Wonderful hosts.
King size bed; offered anything we needed and more.
Don't really like the name ; misleading. Not a castle at all.
Very homely, welcoming stay. We could not need any more facilities than those already in place. Proprietors were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
Great host Could not do enough for me and my dog. Witty Tales Roast chicken dinner Lovely room, with every thing in it.
The owners could not be more friendly, or more hospitable. Even to the point of baking us the speciality welsh cake for us to try. The guest house offers you every conceivable equipment you could imagine in your room. There is a massive guest lounge and kitchen with a pool table and dart board. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble Even to the point that my husband had a coughing fit and Mandy brought him in some cough sweats. It was more like our own holiday home with a personal chef.
Nice room. All u needed. Friendly people. Cooked breakfast to time u wanted. Great wi fi.
Some extras not needed. Hairbrushes in drawer still with hair in!! Wet room very odd. Water went all over bathroom floor so always wet. Creaky bed. Had to help yourself to milk from fridge rather that sachets jn room. Which meant had to get ready first rather than be able to make tea in dressing gown. Unnecessary furniture in room
Faultless. The best equipped room we have stayed in over the last 25 years of weekends away.
Owners made very welcome had time to talk friendly.... room beautiful everything in that would need ie iron kettle TV even hair straighteners and hairdryer.... basically all need when staying was your clothes..... very clean and a beautiful place....
Great location and the owners very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble excellent breakfast
Castlelodge had all the amenities and they looked after us very well.
Everything was amazing. Loved it. Would definitely recommend.
Everything was perfect.
The owners were very kind and helpful and went far beyond the infamous extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed and well equipped bedroom. Excellent traditional British breakfast. Well located to explore the area (Brecon national park). Good restaurants around.
The castle in the name and the four-poster bed on the booking.com pictures are a bit misleading. It is a classical B&B, and good at that.
