Nice clean room good breakfast
nothing to dislike for the price would certainly stay there again
The location is great -- steps from Paddington station in a relatively safe, walkable neighborhood close to shops and restaurants. Price is excellent. Room is clean and adequate. Bathroom is clean, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. Staff is very nice and helpful. Free breakfast. Elevator works.
Rooms are tiny tiny tiny. Can barely walk around the full-size bed. Bed is very hard. Bathroom is a modular, all-in-one unit with toilet, sink and shower -- all very very small. No lobby area to speak of, no place to sit and relax.
There were bugs on my bed and I got a few bites by them - lucky that it happened on the last night of my stay only but it was unpleasant.
Good location. 24hr reception good. Leave your keys at reception when you go so can't lose them which is a good idea.
we left our room for the day at around 12pmAnd our room hadn't been cleaned because we were in it. But when we returned at 11.30 from a concert we found our door was open with all lights off. How long it was open for I do not know and thanks fully all out belonging were there of what we know so far. Very poor house keeping leaving a door open to a used room.
Friendly staff, good location (5 minutes walk to Paddington, 15 minutes walk to Marble Arch). Hearty breakfast.
Bathrooms are too small and Wi-Fi connection was terrible but it is not that bad.
Price is a little bit high
The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was one of the better ones we've had,and plenty of it. We would certainly use the hotel again
Bed was a bit small and room a bit dark.
Loved the location. 1 min walk from paddington station and a 10min walk to marble arch, hyde park and oxford street. Rooms were clean, lads on reception were nice to deal with and wifi worked perfect. We arrived early on day of check-in & departed late on check-out and they had no problems storing our luggage :) will defo stay here again on next visit. Cant fault it really :)
Bathroom was tiny and so was bedroom but it was perfect for what we wanted. Wouldnt recommend for families as rooms are quite small and kids wouldnt have room to move around
Breakfast was really good, and location is the best, 200m to Paddington. Room was clean, tv, tea maker and hair dryer are a big plus!
Room is small, esspecially shower cabin
only the staff were helpfull
We got charged £339 and gave us a basement room, would not recoomend this
the location is great....
....while the rooms are way to small.
Everything except the location.
Why the Castleton Hotel London?Where can you stay in London at a very reasonable rate and be within walking distance from London inner city, Buckingham Palace, almost all major attractions, shopping and business areas. Walk 2 minutes to a tube station. Big Bus Tour pick up/drop off outside 40metres up the street. The hotel is surrounded by ALL necessary support services for the leisure or business traveller including (all within a 3-5 minute walk): Paddington Station (Heathrow Express), doctor/medical centre (next door), major hospital (St Mary's), chemist, post office, mini-shoping mart, laundry, great cafes, good pubs, printer, discount tickets for West End plays & events, bus to inner city etc etc. Hotel has a BIG breakfast that will keep you going all day. Staff are very helpful - get to know them. VERY helpful staff saved us a small fortune on where to get event tickets, transport, where the locals eat, best English pubs (e.g. the Victoria Pub at 10A Strathearn Place - 4 minute walk), etc. SUMMARY - LOCATION, LOCATION & VALUE!
It is very important to understand that motel rooms are small by comparison with larger chain motels BUT that is normal in London.
The breakfast room was fab. Staff, food and environment were all great.
Room was small and didn't have a lock/chain on the door so I didn't feel very secure.
The staff is friendly and the room is clean although the toilet quite small.. but still model enough.
The toilet too small.
Perfect location next to transport links, very helpful and kind staff, very clean room.
The location just
The stuff is rode and did not respect people i do not know why!! When he told me go to do check out he call me and shout I will never comeback i this place ever
-It was comfortable -The breakfast was perfect -It is near to Hyde Park and Selfridges
-They did not answer to our booking comment before arriving -The wireless internet didn't work all the time
Very close to Paddington station and Heathrow express which was great. Easily accessible location. Was upgraded to a larger room which was good as I was there for almost a week. Great Italian close by which had a good selection of Gluten Free meals. Ask Italian!
Good to have own bathroom but it was tiny. Breakfast was average.
Friendly and helpful staff Window that opened slightly
Very small bedroom and bathroom
- location: 150 m to the tube and centre - size: prefer small, quiet hotels - fair English breakfast
free wifi was fast and good
the washroom in room was size of a porta potty. felt very unclean sleeping. the elevator was probably from the 1800s. in your room you are able to hear everyone else in the hotel so it's not secure. Maids were rude and inconciderate waking us up every morning we were there. would not stay there again.
Very Noisy room, sounded like train passing with a few yards
Good Location, Quick ride from Airport via Heathrow Express Great Breakfast is included, includes cereal, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, etc. Fast food, pubs, and restaurants are available nearby, some open until 11PM or so. Space to store luggage
Room is very basic and bathroom is very small but functional ~ imagine Japan. This is the kind of place to spend a night and be on your way.
