Reception staff was polite
The smallest room I have ever stayed in, it was like a closet, and to top this of the window was located towards the pavement, felt like people were talking in your ear all night, the by far worst place I have stayed at in London.
poor beverages in room no biscuits
We stayed 2 nights, the room was very small but the facilities were ok. Our room was extremely clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
Although the room was small I can't say I didn't like it. The coffee in the room wasn't very nice, that's the only thing I'd critise.
Very close to Hyde park, shower nice and hot, breakfast good
The damp was horrid, ned felt like it was stuffed with straw, and some people had to eat their breakfasts standing
- Very convenient location - Nice breakfast
- Small room - Some noise from other guests
It is not goof at it all The service very bad
front disk and the kitchen staff
size of the room and bath
We had the best treatment. We arrived very tired and early, but they gave a room anyway. It was nice and clean. The beds are comfortable but small. Very nice view of the park. Nice fish n'chips on the restaurant across the street.
Room smelled awful when we came in. I opened the window and problem solved. Beds too shallow.
room and bathroom were too tiny.
staff was friendly; near Paddington
rooms are tiny, dingy, and dirty breakfast is institutional
Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds comfortable. Rooms clean. Even the small shower room was fine for a two night stay. Food was good.
Rooms tiny, smallest bed I've ever slept in, roll over and you fall out of the bed!
located 2 min walking from Paddington railway and metro station. Friendly breakfast staff. Nothing more.
Expensive and uncomfortable. Rooms are so small you can't open your suitcases, toilets are caravan size, the single room was a toilet with the bed inside, no separation door ! total 6 sqm. Only one old small towel each guest. breakfast is english - orange juice, milk and cornflakes, tomatoes, beans, overcooked fried eggs bacon and sausages, served in underground small rooms, no choice but tea/coffee. Noisy fans outside the window and at 4th floor, elevator also is noisy. Wi-Fi is free but poor connection.
The attitude of staff in reception area is very excellent and very helpful. The location is very convenient, just nearby the Paddington station.
The attitude of staff in restaurant is very poor. The toilet in the room is so small and without any toilet in reception area. The room is so small and without any table and sofa.
The Location is really handy The Staff a polite and helpful The Room was clean The Lift! not many hotels in this area and price bracket have them Overall a very comfortable short stay - we would use this hotel again.
The room and bathroom were small, but not unsually so for london
Staff was very nice, breakfast was great, excellent location
Very small room; very tiny bathroom; bed was comfortable with the blanket on top, but when you go under the blanket, you can kindda feel the bed springs
located near the railway station, close to subway, a lot of resturant
the room is small, bed is tiny, bath room unbelievably small, breakfast is crowdy, toast is small and little...while the room rate is comparably too high!
The location was perfect. 150m away from padding ton station in a safe and clean area with small restaurants, pubs and souvenir shops. The man at the reception is a very kind and helpful staff member.
We had a room on the top floor Which was very small and had a claustrophobic bathroom. The same counts for the breakfast area. Far too small for the hotel guests. Breakfast is fair, an English breakfast. But the 'head' waiter is rude and not much bothered to be nice towards guests.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Excellent location
Looks nothing from outside but very friendly clean hotel . Must say the breakfast was first class better than some top hotels I have stayed in. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Rooms could of been a bit bigger
Rooms very tight! No chair to sit on in the room. Bathroom clean but very cramped!
Location is good, close to Paddington Station. A few nice restaurants close by. Breakfast was good. Hotel generally clean and staff were friendly enough.
I have never seen an ensuite bathroom as small as one in our double room. It was like a toilet in an aeroplane. You had to step up into it and practically stand sideways to have a shower which was divided from the toilet with a curtain that actually touched the side of the toilet, it was that close! The whole bathroom probably measured about 4 feet square! It would be impossible and potentially dangerous for an older or larger person to use this as you had to step down out of it into the bedroom with wet feet as you couldn't even turn in there not to mind dry yourself after a shower! We also had booked a twin room which even though was fairly small had a nice ensuite so don't know how many were like our tiny 'Aeroplane' ensuite! I went to reception and complained and asked if they had any other doubles and was told not at that time but to check the next day. The first morning I went to use hairdryer I got a bad burning smell from it and then it stopped working, I told reception and the man said he'd get it sorted but two days later it was still the same.!!
air conditioning - the saving grace on a hot day.
very small room, minute shower, rude staff, poor communications, quick to blame the clients - and not just me I witnessed them being rude to others. Breakfast lacked imagination and eggs were raw on 2 mornings.
Helpful staff - provided iron and board instantly on request, also stored luggage following check-out for collection in the evening. Also arranged for room to be cleaned so we could be allowed early check-in. The room (a twin) was very small and the bathroom tiny but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was recently refurbished - all perfectly adequate for a short stay (we stayed only 2 nights and were out most of the time).
The breakfast selection was very limited - usual cooked items plus two types of cereal - nothing else, no fruit or pastries. The breakfast staff seemed unhappy and cleared the tables very noisily.
