The location was great, with restaurants and shops across the road, and it was only 300metres from Paddington railway station and the underground. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the full English breakfast was a great start to the day.Because the hotel was in Paddington you was only a tube train away from the centre, but it was nice and quiet at night not like the centre of Leicester square. The room was probably one of the smallest I have ever stayed in, and the bathroom was very small too, but considering the time you actually stay in your room on a trip to London it didn't spoil the experience.

Location is good. Services generally good except for what was mentioned below. Made 2 bookings with the hotel respectively for 5 nights and one additional night. Booking under different names and on at least 2 occasions (arrival and thereafter), informed hotel staff of the 2 bookings by the same group and requested that the same room be kept throughout the entire stay for the 2 bookings, and was assured that this would be done. On return in the evening of last night, informed that our luggages cleared since we had failed to check out. When telling the reception staff that we had a booking for the night, he questioned us and said in an arrogant manner just 2 words "Show me". When finally booking produced and the same room given to us, staff very defensive and did not admit the mistake, and kept on saying it was our fault for making booking under different names. When asked whether there was any person who could help to take our luggage up, he said "who do you want, me?", And finished the conversation by saying we could complain to the manager when he returned on Monday, or sent in an e:mail to complain. The attitude of the staff was really beyond any imagination.

The staff were all very cheerful and helpful. The beds although narrow were very comfortable and it was quiet, room had a nice view out to Sussex gardens with some trees and lively little street of restaurants just outside is really convenient. On several bus routes into town just at the end of the road. Library of excellent books to borrow. Extra tea and milk available and room to leave bags after check out or before check in, kept secure. Lift efficient. Tube maps provided and t.v. with easy controls. Desk had someone there all the time. Amusing huge key tassles are a good idea so people leave the key at reception. Some nice prints on the walls in reception and of Venice in our room. Breakfast was o.k. but lacked hot plates, tomatoes and mushrooms. As its in the basement a bit gloomy without daylight but nice to hear people talking in several languages. Shower very tiny and basin. Cover of toilet flush was missing, but it worked.

The staff are friendly and rooms are cleaned. Location is very convenient, it's easy to move around in bus, tube or even walk to the theater. It's a place value for money. The rooms are small and the bathroom is extremely concise.

Breakfast good. Room v small. En-suite a plastic modular attachment intruding into the tiny bedroom (just enough room for a double bed) - tiny. No proper wardrobe -particularly annoying as could not hang shirts and suits properly.

Breakfast quick, and quality good. Luggage minding after checkout very helpful as our train left later from Paddington. Receptionists friendly and polite. The small size of room was no problem for us as our stay was short, but it could be uncomfortable for longer stays.

Breakfast was ok. Location good. The Smallest Bathroom one can imagine. You can actually sit on the toilet and have a shower at the same time. Another overpriced London Hotel. How do they get away with it.

Location was first class, room clean, bathroom looked newly renovated. Space restricted, but OK for base to sleep and eat from. Front desk courteous and helpfull. Breakfast buffet OK, but maybe time span could be increased as a queue developed. Our room was near to food store room. Kitchen staff should know that making considerable noise very early in the morning is not conducive to good reviews from paying guests!

The location is brilliant, just down the road from a major station with the underground and buses across the whole city. The room was small but perfectly formed, the beds extremely comfortable, and, because it is London, so we requested it, we got a room at the back which was very quiet. We also had air conditioning which was very much appreciated on an unexpected Indian Summer. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the staff very helpful and accomodating. We will certainly be making a return visit.

The location of the hotel is convenient, the sightseeing bus stop is almost next to the hotel, tube and train station are close, too. The breakfast was good. Room was ok. After reading the reviews I expected it to be smaller, but it was ok - a tv (quite small, but ok), free wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer. The reception staff were nice, everything we asked for was provided - an electrical adapter, they also printed bus tickets when we asked them. Our room was on the 4th floor, there was a lift, which was convenient. The breakfast staff were not polite. No "good morning", no smiles. It was as if our being there was bothering them. Not pleasant. The shower was not convenient to use at all, as our room had a bathroom-pod. The double bed was not comfortable. But we considered these to be minor issues. In general our stay at the hotel was nice.

Excellent location, within walking distance of Paddington Station, even with suitcases. Dozens of restaurants close by, many of which were immediately opposite the hotel. Free wifi and a lift to all floors. English breakfast. Room was so small that there was no room to move once suitcases were brought in - we had to climb over the beds to get to the bathroom, which was compact, to say the least.

The location was good, close to tube station and train if required. A variety of restaunts were convient to choose from. The staff were friendly and cheerful. The bathroom in the trible room was fine and in an up todate style. The beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. I liked the air conditioning as opening the window wasnt an option. The breakfast well cooked and tasty. The" bathroom "in the twin room was tiny and a little cluster fobic. The breakfast could improve in varity E.g fresh fruit, yougart, other juices ,and more a variety of breads other than toast

The desk clerks were always helpful, especially Edwin. He made several suggestions about good places to go. The gentleman who generally works evenings suggested a good place to go for dinner. Single rooms are a little small but I managed. I was not happy about the increase in price for my second 2 nights (24 and 25 May) but I was told it was because of the Chelsea Flower Show.

It is situated only 3 min walk to Paddington Underground Station. We decided to go to Oxford Oxford Street (Marble Arch) on foot and it only took us 40 min walk. The room including the ensuite shower were very clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast was good too (there were 2 different types of cereals, milk and orange juice, scrambled and fried eggs, sausages, bacon, baked beans, toast, coffee and tea. For us it was more than enough. The staff is very nice and the hotel has a luggage room where we left our luggage since our flight back home was late in the evening. The beds are comfortable but I would have preferred a harder mattress. The room is on the small size but we did not spend much time in it so it was perfect for us. The shower was ok for us but big sized people would struggle to get in the shower. The tv was not working properly but did not bother us as already said did not spend much time in it in fact we did not even inform the reception. We only stayed there for one night and was good value for money.
