Score from 2299 reviews Good
Good value for money, especially the location (less than 10 min walk to Victoria Station). Also the breakfast was fresh every morning and the staff was polite and helpful. It's not a 5* hotel, but it was clean and that is what I liked very much for the affordable price! Will definitely book again when I return to London.
Can't really complain about anything of the accommodation, we got what we paid for and it was good. If I must mention something, then it would be the light going on and off when people passed by to get to their room outside... Maybe put up some thicker curtains?
Hotel was clean Heating worked Helpful friendly staff Good value at price I paid for room but that was discounted .
Tatty and careworn with little charm. Functional and doubts hotel has been made over since the 1970's. Breakfast was pretty basic .
Poor wi-fi signal.
Clean and comfortable bed, TV, sink and kettle in the room.
While you can hang your clothes inside the shower and keep them dry with panels that keep the water out, getting dressed in there is a nightmare. Free wifi only near reception, so you can't get anything in your room.
-Very good location, 10 minutes walk distance from Westminster Abbey. -24hours reception desk
-No elevator -My room (other ones on the floor did not show the same) had a certain gap between the lower part of the door and the ground.
a quiet room number 7 on first floor mezzanine. Fr
Location and staff
The staffs were friendly and helpful. When I request for a late check out, they agreed without hesitation.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Not a lot to be honest
1970's decor. Hair on the sheets. Not the cleanest of rooms. Pokey and cramped. Staff at night were abrupt and rude. Smallest bathroom in history. The pictures displayed are not a true likeness
I have stayed in the uk for 4 years, as a post- graduate student myself and was a staff member in one of the top 10 uk university. My partner and I understand that the check in time is at 2pm, however our arrival to London was early hence we went to the hotel expecting a waiting place/ area for the guests. Surprisingly, we were asked to leave the hotel by the (male) staff member after dropping our bags. My partner was trying to explain the situation as it was cold out there and there are chairs readily available for the guests. It is highly unreasonable why guests are not allow to stay in the hotel before the check in time when we have booked a 2 nights. The staff member was about to get into a fight with my partner and I was trying to explain but he was reluctant to listen and point his finger in my face when speaking to me with his manager around! This is totally unacceptable attitude! Not to mention about the unprofessional customer service, it is pure rudeness and violence! The manager came into the situation by asking us to add on more money for early check in and started to give us another "lecture" saying that the hotel has no waiting place for the guests and that only the 3 stars hotel does after which denied us from speaking our thoughts. The Supervisor, a Spanish mixed Syrain lady whom also has poor manner, claimed that a 2 days stay "is no big deal" and that they have customer whom stayed for 20 days. I personally think that these staff members are highly unqualified to be in this service line given their bad manners and highly unacceptable attitude. Apart from the staff members, I have some baggages left in the reception, which was torn and my things in it falling out. They do not have proper luggage area and have a *disclaimer slip* for the negligence of their staff in handling our properties. The supervisor (Spanish/ Syrian lady) also expect me to return in the evening to collect my bags.
Size of room bed too soft Bed coverings looked unclean carpets all very worn shower a cupboard
The prize is correct, if we see the quality of the Hotel, So it's was convenient!
Nice service, everyone is very nice. The room is good, the place is quiet as there are mostly residential houses around. It is good for the price.
The breakfast could be better (more offer). Also, there is no lift, so try to get one of the rooms in the groundfloor/basement or first floor.
The lady on reception was very helpful, the room was nice & clean, absolute bargain, the best budget hotel I have stayed in London will definatly stay again.
The noise from people chatting in the adjacent room, which I think was a meeting lounge
Everything worked. Lights Hot water Staff accommodating. Breakfast very fair. Good Price
Carpets worn but obviously used by a lot of people.
To and to and to rubbish
Now I must have stopped in 3,000 Hotels or even more in the past 5 years omg The staff made my stay the best , there were professional, funny and know how to make your stay a happy one, it's not a park lane hotel, but I would stop there then one on park lane, I had a room with no shower , but it was fine , even a up to date tv in the room and the bed, not new. But it's was nice and firm. And quite See you again soon
Ok he what I did not like Leaving Also no lift but there did ask me what floor I wanted and I took the penthouse ( top floor)
Location is not bad but it's neither close to Pimlico nor Victoria so you have to walk 15 mins to get home anyways. Staff was helpful.
Hygiene was very poor. Bathroom and shower is shared. Entire hotel literally stinks of dirt and filth. And for all this they charged £95 per night. Absolutely horrible experience and rip off! Stay away from this place.
Courteous staff. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Kitchen area looked clean.
Whole place looked shabby and could do with makeover. Shower/toilet was cramped and shower base could do with a good clean. Shower curtain smelt musty.
Location, is between 2 underground stations.
Everything. Old building, furniture, decoration and carpet very old and moldy. No elevator! Rooms with bathroom are a joke, the shower was added to the room. There is no space to use it without making a mess. 5 minutes shower will get the bathroom soaked. The carpet is very old and extremely dirty, you cann see that some ares are much darker than the ones under the bed, or with less transit, which are lighter and with vivid color. The curtain in the room was not only dirty, it had big stainss all over it, in fact one of them seemd like a blood. Breakfast was not good at all. For the price we paid, over £100/day we expected a little bit more than just orange juice, coffee, toast and butter. In fact, the website says iit is a continental breakfast. I dont recommend, because for the price they charge the service is way over the ser ice provided. There is not even a phone in the room, and the wifi signal is really poor, only operating with high strengh at the reception.
room was comfy breakfast good...continental
having to climb 4 flights of stairs with our luggage the shower wasn't good....trying to shower and keep you clothes/towel dry whilst showering wasnt easy...no room
I liked the location. There was WiFi in my room though near the entrance contrary to what they had said. That was a plus. The room heater worked well. Staying in another hotel which switched off central heater at midnight made me not take that for grant.
it is priced for its location basically. The room was small just like most London hotels. The furniture was old fashioned. The breakfast was just toast bread and cereal. No eggs. Weak tea and milk. Just the bare basics.
The staff are all very helpfull and friendly. The room was exactly as described, clean and comfortabe. Bus stop that takes you into the heart of westminster is about 100yrds from hotel and Victoria coach and train is about a 10 min gental walk. Deffinately be staying here again.
Heating on permanently. Too hot. Room was outside in extension. Toilet and shower were in main building and required going outside at night. Floodlight outside door, lit room up like daylight at night. Old window frames draughty. Breakfast limited.
