Let's be clear here - this is not 'value for money'. It is 'cheap'. If that's what you want - go for it. On a positve note, the hotel was scrupulously clean, absolutely no fault there. Extremely shabby and scruffy. Paper thin doors with gaps you could get an elephant through. Tissue thin partition walls with no noise insulation at all. The French 'mesdames' in the room next to me started talking at 3am and unfortunately I could every single word, trying to sleep with the pillow over my head did not help either. Beware if you book a room with a private bathroom - you are still likely to be woken up in the middle of night by people using the shared bathrooms as they run up and down the stairs to go to the loo. The room was extremely clean (much cleaner than more expensive hotels I've stayed in), but don't expect to use the washbasin in the miniscule bathroom unless you are a contortionist and are able to bend sideways at 90 degrees to get round the loo whilst cleaning your teeth/washing your face.

I liked the location (15 minutes from Westminster, walking), the environment (pubs, shops not far), the staff (nice and welcoming), the good value of the room. I did not like sharing the shower & the toilets, no table in the room

The space was awfull we could barely fit in there, we were at the top of the hotel and the stairs was a lot of work to go up too, the bed was super uncomfortable and the share bathrooms were so small I could barely use them, the walls were so thin you could hear every noise and keep us waking us up at night , We should had stayed in a hostel it would had been more comfortable than this terrible place, I don't recommend this place at all the 3 days I was there I sleep terrible and is not worth it at all , the only plus is the area was nice and staff was nice

The location is very good with a choice of 2 underground stations to get to the city centre easily. Very good breakfast!! Helpfull reception, very willing to help with booking site-seeing tickets etc. Nice to have tea/coffee making stuff. The ensuite shower was the smallest I've ever seen! I knew there wasn't a lift, but I did find the stairs tiring - but I'm getting on!!

Good location and price. The bathroom was very poor and its door couldn't close. Quite noisy at night - I could hear everybody coming back to their rooms.

I spent a night in a single roon with shared bathroom. The hotel is located nearby victoria station, in good and central position. Discrete hotel for one night Room wasn't very clean, but not bad for adaptable people. Shared bathroom and showers were small.

Location, close to Victoria Station. My room was with shared bathroom and toilet, however to get there I had to pass a corridor with open space so actually I had to come out from the building. I haven't used toilet during the night from obvious reason. I know that other single rooms was available during the night this time so don't understand why I have been allocated in this one. I have been asked if I want upgrade room to my own toilet/bathroom. If I would known that will be like that I would upgrade the room or booked other hotel.

Handy central London location - short walk from Victoria station. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Everywhere in the hotel - bedding, sinks, shower, breakfast tables - incredibly clean. Quiet at night. Bedspreads look rather old - but the sheets underneath were in good condition and clean. Sachet coffee in rooms fairly dire

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the one when I arrived. We were lucky as we were on the 1st floor and with 4 suitcases this was important as the hotel had no lift. Our room was basic so there was no shower or toilet (though the shower was outside our room) so if this is a problem people need to specify that they'd like en suite. For our brief stay it did not prove a problem, it was very clean. The shops and restaurants nearby are great and so handy if you arrive late in the day and have no energy to go into the centre. I'd definitely go back.

The location is very good (from our high room we were able to see the London Eye!), and the surrounding area was beautiful and had nearby shops. The price was excellent. The extra breakfast was also a welcome addition. The receptionist seemed friendly enough but sped through the explanation of things very fast as though he was bored. The shower had only hot running water, too hot to use. It was a high climb to our room but then again it is one of those old-fashioned terraced houses, hardly their fault. Great value for the price, overall - just don't expect the lap of luxury.

The staff were friendly and the location good. The continental breakfast included tea, toast and hot pastries. The ensuite bathroom was very small with hardly any room to move either in the shower area or at the sink.

Clean and comfortable, close to the Victoria station. Relatively cheap. The room was for three people, however it was tiny and except for two beds, there was hardly any space. The shower was outside and also tiny, there was no place to leave your clothes or shoes.

Compared to staff at other London B&Bs we've stayed at in a similar price range, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than some: good muesli, for instance, rather than cornflakes. We chose it mainly for its low price and proximity to Victoria Station, as we were coming in to London from Gatwick on a Saturday night with very big bags and didn't want to change trains. The room wasn't too noisy. There are some nice places to eat in the vicinity. We booked a twin room without toilet or bathroom, and used the shared showers, which are unisex, and minimal: you have to shower, dry yourself and dress inside the showerbox itself, there's no changing room, although an internal door stops your towel and clothes from getting wet. We had cold showers the first two days, but that was because new boilers were being installed while we were there, so presumably that won't be a problem in future. Everything's a little shabby, but that's par for the course in this price bracket in overpriced London.

I liked to stay at Caswell Hotel. It is near London Victoria, the starting point of a rail tour. ( How ever the tour started from Waterloo, a very late change. ) . The hotel is in a quiet area, which I like. Limited breakfast hours. 8.00 am is a rush to catch a train at 8:52 from Waterloo.
