The hotel was beautiful Worth every penny and had a lovely romantic break
Quite dark in the room We weren't informed we could get discount on our parking, it was only through me over hearing that I was aware I could
Good service stop,t there a lot of times and will go back
Could do with more parking
Beautiful breakfast room and reception
Some of the paintwork a bit tired. Carpet in breakfast room/ restaurant needed replacement
Very proper staff. Nice environment.
Decor is a bit dark. Very moody.
Breakfast good Nice hotel
Wifi doesn't work at all in room Room was so small - to give an idea how small it was it was impossible to leave my overnight bag anywhere without having to move it to get into the bathroom
Still a beautiful building but is looking tired in some areas
Poor wifi which even poorer excuses for its performance. Stayed here many times but not good if you cannot work in the public areas.
The location was fabulous with plenty of restaurants and bars around .
The carpark was surprisingly expensive and soon adds up .the hotel restaurant was closed on the Sunday evening and the bar was empty. The double bed was made of 2 single beds which kept coming apart !
Management was terrible
Could park next to hotel for free (though only 6 spaces) Breakfast was good (though piped music was a bit loud) Location good Good sized room Lift available
Large bed was 2 beds that kept moving apart Shower leaked in the corner so flooded bathroom room ventilation poor window only opens about 4" AC worked but very little output so was quite hot all night Restuarant was closed (due to some issue we were told about on arrival) Fridge not working in room which they know about before they let the room Stained duvet (blood) and stained decrotive thing on the bed was a bit of a turn off
Great location, breakfast was excellent. Nice bar.
We booked a suite for two nights. I would consider renaming this a mini-suite at best if I were running the hotel. The room was split level with the bed upstairs but there was not much space either downstairs or around the bed.
Very comfortable bed
There were no sausages for breakfast.
Great location and breakfast
Poor lighting in bedroom, number 6. Also some of the wooden flooring was loose.
Very comfy beds and a nice breakfast. Lovely cocktail bar and the hotel is in the perfect location for the town centre.
Only 5 TV channels, not even Freeview!
Lots of character as it's a hotel built in an ex Police Station. Architecture on the ground floor is very special with sweeping balustrade and staircase. I was upgraded to a suite which was nice - particularly enjoyed the TV in the bathroom! Have stayed here before and some of the doubles are so small you can hardly walk around the bed so a suite was perfect.
I requested via booking.com a very quiet room. When I checked in I queried which room I had been allocated to be told I had been upgraded to a suite, for which I was very grateful. Didn't realise until I went to bed there was a vent in the wall next to the bed which had some fan or machinery which droned on all night leading to the worst night's sleep I have had in ages. Shame that the staff seem to think an upgrade qualifies for a quiet room!
Nicely decorated rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Shops, restaurants and pubs within 5 minutes walk.
Mugs in room were dirty but quickly changed when requested. Hairs in the bath.
Great location, excellent service, lovely room service breakfast.
Room a little small, unable to connect to wi-fi.
1. Hassle with our check in 2. Young rude staff 3. Uncaring manager 4. No proper bed for my daughter
The suite The bathroom The bar Breakfast Staff very friendly
The mattress was sagging on one side which meant I didn't get the greatest night sleep The bath plug didn't work The room (23) could probably do with a lick of paint
Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.
Very small room which for the price was disappointing cramming a big bed into a small space does not make a luxuary king size room! Bathroom needed attention. Toilet seat was broken and obviously had been for sometime.
Super friendly staff...couldn't have been more helpful! Thank you
The location was good as was the room in general, comfy bed and nice decor and while the hotel is very pleasant the whole package just didn't live up to expectations sadly.
Staff were not particularly helpful-no offer of help with bags and I couldn't find the lift to my floor and had to return to receotion twice to ask where it was.On the site I was led to believe there was a gym which was in fact a 25 minute walk away-ridiculous! Thats a work out in itself. The bedside light wasn't working and I could not access wi fi which I needed for work.I had paid extra for an upgraded room but wasn't sure how this was an upgrade. No biscuits with the tea and coffee which is a small but often appreciated thing.
not alot expensive /not even freeview t,v,wont be stopping again
very poor reception staff 2 young guys didnt seem to care about anything a geust was asking very rude to both of us 1 foreign girl more helpful but guys seemed to think they at some kind of fashion show .and thats all that mattered
Good F and B, very good Staff
The curtain in our room was broken - we were told it was scheduled to be fixed the following day (which is when we were leaving!)
