Beautiful spacious room with four poster bed. Very clean and comfortable with great attention to detail. Excellent breakfast and we were able to have an earlier breakfast on request. Staff available whenever needed but never in your face. Would definitely return and would recommend to others. Nothing

We had the most relaxing short break . The breakfasts were excellent ,the hosts were there when we needed their help , and low profile all other times. The room was excellent and could not fault it. We will book further stays at Catton Old Hall knowing that our stay will be a pleasure .

The owners had taken a great deal of trouble to present the guest house using authentic interior design complementing the 17th century building. They provided extensive informaiton about the history of the house, the village and the adjoining city of Norwich. The owners clearly took environmental and eco issues seriously giving infromastion aboutthe numerous ways in which they reuse and recycle. Locally sourced produce is something the owneres were pleased to have on offer. Althoughnot license an honesty bar was well stocked and much appreciated. There were a number of do's and don'ts which I felt had I stayed longer I was bound to inadvertently infringe.

The warmth and friendliness, attention to detail, excellent breakfast and ambience. The rooms were lovely and spacious and we had a wonderful stay over New Year. For us being more mature residents the stairs but it states clearly in the brochure that there are stairs

The old character and charm of the place. The jacuzzi in the enormous ensure bathroom and the bed linen and towels. It's in a residential area so was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was nice too. Nothing we did not like will be staying there again next year!

Probably the nicest independent hotel/B&B I've stayed in. Beautiful house, large and very comfortable bedroom, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast. I also enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable sitting room, and thought the honesty bar was quite reasonably priced. Owners were very welcoming. Some real ale in the bar would have been a nice touch, but that's hardly a criticism.

A beautiful, old house full of character, a large spacious beautifully furnished room. The whole place was really well maintained and spotlessley clean. Very comfortable bed. Very thoughtful finishing touches. The lady who ran the hotel was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The service was excellent. I would recommend this hotel/B&B to anyone. The shower - flow of water very slow

Beautiful old building that maintains its character inside and out. Lovely jacuzzi bath, comfy bed and a hearty freshly cooked breakfast. Nice to read about the history of the hall and its occupants in the literature in the room too.

very comfortable double bed. Each room is named after a local celebrity eg in our case a founder of Norwich Union Insurance - and a book about his life was available in the room. Very relaxing lounge and excellent full breakfast with very wide choice including lots of different marmalades for example. we couldn't think of anything

This is the best B&B I've stayed in. Very clean, Beautiful throughout and a very very nice breakfast. Immaculate and loads of character. First class service. Although a B&B with no restaurant there is a great country pub The White Horse nearby that does lovely bar meals and is lovely inside.

Historic house Far to many petty rules and regulations, felt like we were trespassing. External security lights shinning thru, bedroom window on and off every few seconds all night, had to try to sleep with light on to counteract , very poor. Having reported this to owner I was told that it wasn't a problem for her !! no discount offered as compensation.

An 'Olde Worlde' charm but great rooms. Full English breakfast included. Quiet location with friendly and refined staff. Free Wi-Fi. Everything I need as a business traveller. Oh, and the honesty bar is a treat, and preserves a little something from days gone by when people trusted each other more. Love this place.
