Beautiful house and really friendly people. Room was very well appointed and perfectly clean. Lovely wet room, tea and coffee facilities and the breakfast was sublime. All local produce and great quality. Staff could not do enough for you. We will be back.
Having to leave!!!!!!
All staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Excellent eggs benedict for breakfast Sewell room with 4-poster bed up in the rafters was lovely, very big and very comfortable.
felt very relaxed as soon as we arrived, room was spacious and very comfy, very good breakfast as well, will definitely stay again
Set in it's own fabulous grounds, pretty building and garden. A very relaxing place to stay. The bedrooms are very generous in size and the staff are so attentive. The breakfast was hearty and coffee excellent. We had the good fortune to stay on a sunny weekend and relaxing in the garden was a delight.
Nothing that comes to mind.
Room and the reasonably charged room bar. Liked the decor. Paula was very lovely
Breakfast wasnt that good .location is not close enough to shops
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The property itself has got character and feels cosy. The breakfast was also very nice.
The noise from the room below could be heard easily.
From the second we walked through the door, my girlfriend fell in love with the place....unique from top to bottom. The decor was spot on, & the little added touches, really made our visit memorable, such as the complimentary biscuits, linen tablecloths at breakfast, the list is endless, truly home from home. Nothing was too much trouble & the owners & staff made you feel very comfortable & welcome. Excellent place to stay for a special occasion, as the four poster room we stayed in truly was impressive :)
Everything about this amazing hotel was just spot on, everybody was friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything and more that we needed to make our wedding anniversary stay perfect.
I have no criticisms regarding this beautiful hotel.
Everything. A large extremely we'll-appointed bedroom with very comfortable seating and a foot stool. Good after sightseeing all day! A good bathroom and excellent breakfast with friendly helpful owners. To be thoroughly recommended
Size of the room was lovely, very warm welcome when we arrived. Very nice house and lovely bedroom. We will stay again
Rooms clean and large and beds very very comfortable.,nice wide ranging breakfast and staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Building had interesting features and history.and is very convenient for P&R into Norwich and the Broads, as well as airport if you are using .Recommended
We had room right at top and found a bit difficult with luggage as it was a steep 2 stair climb up and down .Fine if you only had small hand luggage or case .Creaking floorboards also (apparently ) a problem to guests below and had to walk around considerately ...
The whole experience of this bed and breakfast facility
A little way out for restaurants etc. car was needed, although the bus stopped outside the Hall, on a regular basis.
Old school charm. Large rooms. Large comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast
Aircraft noise in morning. Not extreme but annoying. Near airport??
The character of the hall was wonderful the rooms all unique & providing tea & coffee, bottled water & homemade biscuits as well as a mini bar at your disposal. Soap shampoo & body moisturiser was also provided which was a plus.
There are 2-3 flights of stairs to access some of the rooms for someone with difficulties a downstairs room is available.
The staff and owners are very nice Very comfortable and very nicely decorated Very good breakfast
wifi was a bit slow
Everything ! Very quirky , pure relaxation and the garden defiently had the wow factor ! A lovely getaway from the norm !
Nothing not to like .
Catton Old Hall is a very welcoming and well catered for bed and breakfast. One of the best! We had a really relaxing stay and our room (Anna Sewell room) was perfect in every way. The breakfast served was very good and the service throughout our stay was very helpful. My opinion is its a lot more relaxing and peaceful than staying in a hotel.
Nothing to comment on and everything we asked for or asked about was dealt with straight away.
Very quiet location and with excellent bus service from stop outside to/from Norwich City Centre. Owners allowed us to leave our car there whilst we used the bus. The breakfast was V Good
A minor dislike. The free Wi-Fi was not on a secure site but it worked well.
Building and grounds
friendly nice garden lovely building
microwaved poached eggs poor ham would have thought is would have been home made for £125 a night
Character of the building. Rooms were large and well furnished, staff (especially Paula) were very helpful and were willing to go the extra mile.
The room was very warm at night. There was a fan available but this didn't really help. Water pressure was not great.
The staff. Fresh milk!!
