The bed was comfortable enough and clean. For one night it was ample paid £39 tea/coffee in room etc. for somewhere fairly central for one night this was fair price. Free parking too which is great! It's in need of repair to walls etc. whilst there was an ironing board in the room cover was marked, accessories in bathroom rusted. Wall in room damaged. Entrance was needing hoovered and general maintenance was poor.

Location, tidy, shower & toilet facilities, quietness our room was at the top floor, having to drag the entire family of very young children and luggage was ridiculous, there were no lift facilities or attendants

Location was good, right near city centre and restaurants in walking distance. Silly little things really drag this hotel down, holes in the ceiling where fire alarms had been moved, curtains can't be closed properly and chairs are dirty'

Room was spacious There was a night when the boiler was spoilt and there was no water heater...........they said they will repair by 10 pm that night but nothing happens even till next morning. However on our insistence they allowed us to have a temp room to bath and clean up for an important appointment which partially redeem them. Did not know they were linked to next door Edgaston Palace, would hvae preferred to book that if website said so.

We were really lucky because they upgraded our double room for a family room with nice views to the garden and huge living room. Room and bed were comfortable and clean We found some cigarettes butts in the living room and the carpet had some alcohol stains, tear curtains... they should pay more attention to details...

Breakfast was good. Bed linen was clean. Room was disgusting. Chairs ripped. The most stained carpets in the room and hotel I have ever seen. Walls were dirty and in poor repair and needed a coat of paint. Hotel next door where we had breakfast was presentable as was bathroom but the room looked half finished.

The building is lovely. The room was quite pretty, very comfortable and fairly well kept. The location is pretty good. The staff could have been more friendly. The price of breakfast was ridiculous. Cavalier House is a sort of off-shoot of The Edgbaston Palace - it feels a little less loved. The staff didn't know the WiFi password for our room/floor.

Convenient location and decent price. Very comfortable bed. It's actually run by Edgbaston Palace hotel next door, so there's no staff in the building and you have to traipse next door to check in and out. Clean enough but soulless.

We loved the fact that the rooms were sackous, clean and comfortabke with little extras like a refrigerator in the room at thebatea/coffee point! Meaning we could use fresh milk! The room was a tripple, with a doublemand a single bed, but still giving pkenty of room. The bathroom/shower facility was excellent! The shiwer being bery modern, clean and easy to use -easily a two person shower! And with a deep tray at the bottom for paddling! The inky complaint is breakfast and dinner were served in the adjoining hotel Edgbaston Palace Hotel that was downstairs and outside! Not only that, there was a lot of messing anout having to show your key to the cctv tocget back into the Cavalier House Hotel every time we left and returned -it would have been easier if the room key also had a downstairs door key, or electronic fob, with it instead. . . Woukd just have made it easier to use and more convenient. That is the only complaint and this would NOT stop us from using the hotel again as it represents awesome value for money and a good level of comfort! Thank you to the Hotel Manager for fixing breakfast formus on our last day as we had missed breakfast thinking it finished atxten rather than nine! That was bery much apreciated and a very nice, friendly touch -thank you!

The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was good (and reasonably priced) and the hotel was both clean and comfortable. The one problem was the traffic noise. My room was at the front (alongside the main road) and the windows were not double glazed.

Good location, budget accommodation that was in a lovely setting. Stayed in room 15 highly recommend that room as it overlooks lovely garden. Bus service almost at doorstep. Cheaper to book online as I stayed an extra night and had to pay an extra £15 Having to be buzzed in each time....but this could also be a positive thing as it meant secure safe accommodation. Would stay there again if i could get room 15.

I stayed in two diffewrent rooms. The first room was really basic with peasent like furnishings and dirty dirty dirty especially the carpet and curtains tht needed a few extra hooks to keep the on the rod lol The buildng was old and barron and creaked alot and had no sound proofing at all and it was cold. The second room in the back had some charm and a nice new bathroom with tub but again the furnishings were so soiled I took it upon myself to clean the arm chair befor I would sit in it . One night the guest abovw use were so noisy at 2am that we could here them yelling and fighting all night Not much help from management That totally ruined our eve. And my daughter left to back to her dorm at 4am in tears with lack of sleep. Bad news Staff were nice at first but quickly lose interest in you. If you stay over 1 night.Stonch and unhappy for the most part.
