The location and the cost of the family room was decent. The room was ok, but couldn't shut the bedroom curtains they were almost hanging off the rail. would only only reccomend if staying just one night.

Firstly on arrival the receptionist was very unhelpful with checking in etc with the added fact that although many of our party booked to stay in The Cavalier House Hotel they were shunted into the Edgbaston Palace (far from it I tell you) which split our party up, secondly the room was dirty, I have photographic evidence of the dust everywhere and the paint peeling plus there was used loo roll in the toilet when we arrived, thirdly we were placed on the front of the property right above the door (which would slam at all hours of the night) when I specifically requested when booking to have a quiet room as I suffer from headaches and I am a light sleeper. In the evening we were refused service at the bar because we were a large party (we were not roudy or loud). Breakfast left alot to be desired and the coffee tasted like mud from the back yard. The walls are paper thin and the you could hear everything that other occupants were doing and on the second morning at breakfast another occupant poured a cup of tea and there was a beetle in the tea pot. I would not recommend this hotel at all it was over priced and down right disappointing!! I would rather have stayed at the hotel over the road!!

Where the new light was goin to go (I think) with wires sticking out!! everything else did its job!! I would only recomment the cavalier hotel because its cheap!! Nothin more nothing less!! Beds were bad!!

Location to where I was visiting, was grateful of tea and coffee making facilities. Towels and bed clean, big room tv good. Looked closed, sign on door said reception next door! Looked like work in progress, no other guests seen, not clear what relationship was with next door hotel, did not feel safe entering hotel or room or leaving it, bathroom fairly good but toilet dirty on arrival and tile missing. Mattress hard. Breakfast offered but no instruction on where it could be obtained.

Poor set out, poor facilities, poor cleanliness. Over all very disappointed. I was asked to pay for the room before I'd even seen it and now I know why. I would give 1 star and that's generous. I won't be staying there again.

On arrival, quickly realised this is the 'poor relation' of the hotel next door! Greeted by note on front door saying 'all enquiries next door!' Not quite the concierge one's use to! However, this was very last minute and an ideal location, halfway for my daughter and I to spend the weekend together. Pleasant enough receptionist accompanied by not so pleasant colleague.....as confirmed later! The room was shabby, actual iron holes in carpet, very tired decor but had the most beautiful, obviously recently refurbished bathroom! I chose this hotel as it was described as having a lovely garden, ideal I thought! Granted the garden probably was once very lovely and matched the once lovely house, enough said.....

It was on a main road with transit options. Poor signage out front, our taxi went past it 3 times, with all of us looking for hotel sign, before we realised what it was. Breakfast was poor quality and expensive. The reception area was not manned. The front door was electronically monitored, you had to buzz, hold up your room key and wait to be let in. The reception was actually in a hotel with different name right beside the Cavalier. This other hotel had better signage which actually overshadowed Cavalier'S.

After 11 hour day at Edgbaston it was ideal no-frills place with a decent size bar for a night cap watching Eng v Ireland rugby highlights, a clean quiet en suite bedroom to get a good night's sleep and a decent cooked breakfast to send us on our way refreshed. Was bit of a surprise to find we were directed (by a sign on the Entrance door) to the hotel next door but I guess they are in fact run as one establishment. The hotel was ideal for our needs.

The staff were rude, the room was a dpubke but was two single beds pushed together. There was building going on right outside our room on the morning. I would not go or recommend this hotel to anyone. £45 was way too much for this hotel!!

Najprej so nam dodelili slabšo sobo brez naročenih dodatkov, po prerekanju pa so nam dodelili rezervirano sobo in dodatke.

- The room was very spacious and comfortable. - There were quite a few restaurants close by. - The staff was very friendly - Definitely good value for money. - The hotel is situated in a busy road therefore it is easily to hear the cars passing by especially during the night. - I did not like the fact that we had to leave the hotel every time and go next door to talk to the receptionist. There was receptionist in our hotel. This felt really awkward.

Nice hotel, big room for a cheap price, there were 5 or 6 buses right in front of the hotel that can take you directly to the city center. Clean room and friendly staff
