very nice location, we were there for our anniversary and to watch the football at North Ferriby
room was a little bit to warm, the breakfast was excellent could do with a little bit more attention to detail the crockery was stained as well as the table cloths
The delightful decor of the Hotel and the really beautiful outdoor areas to explore.
Couldn't get wi-fi, but didn't investigate properly, so not sure.
Swimming pool at nightime
No information on the menu or hotel details that we could find ( we may have missed it) We desperately wanted to eat in the restaurant and not go out but the menu was to rich for my wife We just wanted to ask if she could have a plain chicken breast potatoes or rice Salad or plain vegetables but it was very busy with Christmas parties . We didn't want to cause any fuss so we went into the village And on the breakfast it was very uncomfortable being sat on A large table just two of us And not a table for two it was very strange being told "other people may come and join you from other parties" Why couldn't we have had a a small table But again it was okay we just did as we were asked And breakfast was beautiful As usual Would still come again These are just niggles
Yummy cooked fish option at breakfast served to your table
I like everything about this hotel. I lovely touch of luxury without a ridiculous price tag. Food great - loads of choice on the buffet breakfast. Good wine list - again no silly prices
Nice staff. Nice restaurant.
all our needs were catered for . from a very friendly staff,to excellent catering. Our room in the lodge was all we could have hoped it to be,from the very comfortable bed to the large amount of space it provided. The breakfast was very complete, with all options catered for.
shower control very hard to turn on/off. people who are not of a certain fitness(arthritic etc,) would have a problem.
The lady at breakfast on the sat very good thankyou. And the lady on the Sunday was a different lady she was very nice too. My son was made up as they both my a real.fuss of him an made him feel special.
Staff are good here, a nice welcome and friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. Hotel is comfortable and the food is excellent. This was my second visit, will definitely stay here again if the need arises.
Wi-fi was not working in the rooms but the staff set me up in one of their conference rooms which was on a different wi-fi system which worked. Was not as convenient or comfortable but at least I was able to complete my work.
The pool, steam room & & sauna were great. Staff friendly too & breakfast very hearty.
The noise of fans in room 32 which disturbed our sleep
I was visiting friends in South cave and this was the perfect location. 5 mins walk to the pubs (both of them). Nice and clean room, very relaxed stay. Would happily stay there again.
One slight critism was that the hot water in the bathroom was warm, not hot, but the room was warm so this wasn't a big issue.
Looked nice from the outside
This location was the third overnight stop in a 3 day a trip and the one I was looking most forward to but ended up the least favourite. Expected more character and luxury but seemed on par with an average high street chain of hotels. Room was very bland and bathroom was a bit shabby with stains and a broken bath panel. Was the most expensive of the three locations but with the noisy wedding taking place I felt that the check-in was rushed and we were pointed to our room and not even told about the facilities.
Excellent breakfast and very accommodating for our 14 month old girl. Nice room and ideal for small family. Nice setting
Only able to use pool with children for a set hour per day. Also wi fi had no connection in our room
All Staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble
Wi fi not very good. The view from room 126 leaves a lot to be desired
Everything about the stay was excellent from start to finish and the food and entertainment we're outstanding. We will definitely be going back and would recommend the cave castle to anybody
The only thing I didn't like was I had to leave. Amazing place
We had a great night at friends wedding, staff was very helpful and friendly.
Only thing could say was breakfast was ok could be a bit better
Good food and nice pool. Easy journey to Beverley with lovely Minster and interesting shops.
Period features Location
No protective cover on mattress Basic breakfast with laminated menus - I hate this
Food was lovely, staff were helpful and polite, room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended
Excellent food and leisure facilities. Stayed with a DBB rate which included a three course evening meal both nights and an excellent full English breakfast both mornings. The swimming pool is beautiful and the hotel is in wonderful grounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The waitress at breakfast was excellent, very friendly and happy to tell us information on the local area. Very impressed, would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.
I had a brilliant time the room was great the bar lovely staff very nice. And pool area stunning.
The steam room had a horrible smell. Other guests were also commenting
Excellent food and service in the restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff, very nice spa facilities.
Little bit of noise from the radiator in my room during the night, which being next to the bed disturbed my sleep a bit. Might have been because we'd turned it down. Nothing too dramatic.
The dinner and breakfast was good. The room and bed was spacious and comfortable The spa area was nice
The hotel bar area was crowded with wedding guests and therefore didn't feel able to have a relaxing drink in there which was a shame as it looked nice
What is there not to like, idyllic setting, friendly staff, warm rooms, the place just wraps its arms around you and makes you feel at home.
