-the private room -the bathroom and shower were descent -location was relatively close to soho
-rooms were a bit tiny( but this is London people! Believe it or not it was the largest hotel room I stayed in during my 6 trip in London ) -shower was not in the room but again it's London and you get what you pay for so it's not really a negative. It didn't bother me that much actually.
Bed was very comfortable .
There was a waiting time every morning for breakfast . Guests had to stand in a very small hallway to wait for a table for breakfast .
Full English breakfast is more than expected. Room was cleaned everyday. The staff is very helpful. Location is perfect. So almost thing was superb.
The bed is little uncomfortable cause by the mattress was a bit faulty!
Breakfast. Tea making facilities in room.
The room was large enough but the carpet was stained although well vacuumed. One curtain was not fully hung on the rail, the shower cubicle had some mould and the shower head was not fixed properly and was very clogged up with limescale. We had a room on the ground floor reached via two flights of uneven stairs. Fortunately we arrived early for breakfast and had no problem being seated - those arriving later had to queue and wait for a table. When we made comment to reception about the room they were not really interested.
Ease of check In (probably because they want your money)
Staff - not entirely accurate with their information :-/ Bed - granted I was on a bad quality 'put you up' (however didn't reduce the room price) Being woken at 6am - by the kitchen and dining staff
The location was great and the beds very comfortable
The wifi was extremely bad and not what I would expect for the price of the hotel.
good sized room very comfy bed good location
The bathroom was somewhat 'tired' and required revamping
dusty room no air conditioning Hotel was pretty run-down no lift had a cheaply run feel to it and was not modernised
The location is good, but a bit noisy if facing Gower Street.
I didn't like the centimetre of mould on my morning yogurt, nor the disinterested reaction of the staff member when I pointed it out.
Very friendly staff in the reception. A good English breakfast was served by very friendly and helpful girls.
I was very surprised that my room was so small but reception staff explained that my room was a cabin, and therefore very small. when booking a cabin, you should be aware that there is no closet in the room and hardly any space. Noise from the room above mine woke me up early in the morning. Breakfast room very small and guests were waiting for a table.
Broken tiles in bathroom
Very nice staff, specially the breakfast was incredibly nice. Big bed, fairly big room, enough for two people.
- The room was noisy in the morning (close to the kitchen) and the smell of fried eggs was the first thing that you can smell in the morning. - WIFI was not working in the bedroom at all. - The sink was clogged. They changed us for another room, more quiet, but then WIFI was still not working and TV was not working.
The staff were nice. But we were kept waiting for 15 minutes upon arrival due to no staff on desk.
The double room we paid for was below a water tank or moving water so we had to move room to a small.
close to Euston station. Brkfst was good.
phone did not work. shower did not have enough water. Wifi either did not work or it was very week. will never come back.
Being moved to the quiet side of the hotel; attentive housekeeping staff
The wifi connection is dubious at best. When I needed reliable wifi, I had to go to a local coffee shop. Also, the rooms on Gower Street get a lot of traffic noise.
I liked the garden view very much.
The bed was too narrow and I hit myself on the wall all the time. The bed in the garden room kept sliding and I had to wedge my case in at the bottom to stop it moving.
Room was nice, service very good and cheerful. Breakfast quick and good. Window would open. Temperature was right. Location good.
Pillows uncomfortable Mattress not very comfortable. Shower head fixed, could not be lowered or hand held
WiFi was reminiscent of dial-up days...TERRIBLE!
good location, waitresses at breakfast very friendly and helpful
Good location. Near train stations. 24 hour reception.
Very good location near the underground. The facilities were adequate.
Difficult to place a finger on my concern. There was nothing wrong with the hotel but to me it didn't reach 4 star expectation. Small breakfasts turned over at breakneck speed because the room was too small, one 330ml bottle of water per night between two of us, we reported slow drainage in the shower to be told it needed a plunger - not dealt with so we did it ourselves then it was fine, TV too small for the size of the room. All small issues and the hotel probably ticks the individual 4 star boxes, however in a 4 star I expect to be made to feel that I am the most important person in the building, in this hotel I felt the owner was.
The breakfast basic and no other facilities expect the minimum indispensible
The room was spacious and pleasant The bed and linen was clean and very comfortable. The staff were.all pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was fine. Very quiet!
The fireplace was a feature but hidden by the couch The fan in the bathroom was a bit irritating. The garden in need of work Dining room rather cramped
Location is perfect and close to underground station
Food is very poor, room and bathroom are very narrow
Good shower, obviously newly installed. Helpful staff. Breakfast was good, quickly and efficiently served. Absolutely fine for an economical one night stay.
There was not a reliable Wi-Fi Connection, although I was given a code when I arrived. Not really a four star hotel.
