Location. It was a short walk to the West End and Covent Garden.
Room was small with a dirty, broken blind which could not be lifted up so the room was in darkness most of the time. Lighting was poor, carpet not the cleanest and bed close to wall making it difficult to get out of. Shower small but clean, sink had no plug and dryer did not work although there were 2 in the cupboard (nor PAT tested). Food adequate but not great, staff pleasant. Would not recommend or stay again.
Room was spacious and bed was huge!!! Friendly waiting staff and reception staff, breakfast was good too. Really enjoyed our stay excellent location for central London and despite couple of little things was very happy with the hotel would definitely stay again. Staff let us leave our luggage there while we went out on the Sunday morning which we really appreciated. Worth a look if you want something close to central London
There are a couple of little issues bedside lamp was broken and bathroom ceiling leaked brown fluid when shower running. Rooms could do with lick of paint
Good toilet paper. Clean towels every day. Cooked breakfast. Kettle in room.
No bedside light. Rooms need painted. Sharp finish of breakfast at 09.30am. Carpet in room needs vacuumed and cleaned.
Close to Euston. Lots of underground stations close by. Small but lovely room. Free breakfast served by friendly staff
Chap on reception wasn't particularly welcoming!
Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Overall staff were very pleasant and helpful.
To make phones calls one had to get reception to place them. Wi-Fi was not working all morning which was dramatic given we were waiting on business e-mails to confirm meetings. The whole place is beyond tired. No lift - which was not a problem in itself but there was no offer to assist with bags. Overheard lots of issues other guests were experiencing. It was listed as 4-star - I think 2-star would be more appropriate.
The room was cold - radiator behind the curtains. Pipes gurgled and clanked loudly all night.
Location Breakfast was okay
Waiting for a table for breakfast - off putting to have to wait as well as awkward for those wanting a relaxing breakfast and being subject to the glare of those waiting.
good location for the access to all the hot spots in london.
staffs are polite but not effective at all. Firstly, there was no bottle opener available so I had to go to the one next door to borrow one. Next, the safebox in my room on 1st floor was faulty and it took whole 3 days to solve that small problem despite me reminding the (different) receptionists EACH morning and EACH evening! One of the receptionist even mentioned that it was my fault for not re-reminding him in the morning, when I asked about it at the end of the 3rd day. Anyway in the end, I was moved to a different room on 2nd floor on last nite, and guess what?! I could get any access to the wifi!! Several times, I needed to go down to the lobby or sit on the stair at 1st floor to gain online access to do my online checking and to check airport coach timetable etc...Really, at that point i had gave up complaining & really could wait to leave that hotel...just know there are so many hotels which are literally side by side along Gower Street
The room had a blind that was off the rails and when pulled down did not cover the window. This blind was dirty with signs of previous maintenance not cleaned off. The room overall was in poor condition and needs painting professionally.
hotel in good location, bed large and comfortable, rooms clean but a bit shabby.
Some staff not overly friendly and hotel bit tired looking. If you want luxury this is not the hotel for you.
Avoid this place! Absolute rip off - tiny uncomfortable room (cabin room) - felt unsafe. Had to ask for coat hangers and a kettle. decor grim. Complained to Booking.com (who were very helpful). This place advertises itself as a 4 star - it is sub 1 star
Excellent location for ucl, British Library British museum. Good value for money.
Whilst the bed and bathroom were spotless, walls and curtains were grubby. Hotel reception staff seemed bored and not overly friendly (however the girls serving breakfast were lovely!!)
Facilities is awful
Bed, sheets and showerhead were dirty. Dust everywhere. Tiny room. TV in weird location. Maze or corridors and stairs.
The wifi was bad for all the 3 days I stayed there. Worst was the reception staffs were very rude and couldn't be bothered to accept feedback. This is the worst hotel I have ever been.
Staff Courtesy and willingness Good position
incredibly small rooms (double rooms are in realty a single room) very small toilette not easy acces to the room, awkward and narrow stairs
In the hotel, I had difficulty finding my room as the room numbers were all over the place. Room was a shoebox. No hanger to hang coats/jacket Very noisy radiator kept me up most of the night. Door had to be propped open by table lamp. Star rating not reflective of the room I stayed in.
They moved us to another hotel.
I think we were unlucky because the hotel was full and we were the last in. We were given a double room with a bed that was slightly larger than a single bed. The size of the room was only slightly larger than the bed itself. After complaining for about 15 minutes were finally offered another room but in another hotel the Bloomsbury Palace on the same street. The second hotel was much better and the room was great.
Hotel well situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast included in room rate
I stayed in a single room which was VERY small. It was described as a cabin bedroom and I've had bigger cabins on a ship! There was a door from my room into the back garden which could not be properly secured. I did feel very vulnerable. There was no plug in the bathroom sink.
Location in Gower Street was good enough. Walking distant from some tubes.
Shower was in very bad condition. One night we could not take a shower. No water flowing except on tap. Even technician did something the day after, it did not work well. Three nights staying at this hotel without showering at all. Bad mood.
Friendly staff and good room
Breakfast was good but let down by poor coffee.
Location was ok and breakfast was also satisfactory
Staff not very friendly, hotel dated and in need of repair. More like a 2 star hotel.
The breakfast was good... Service people were nice， and equipments are all there (like hair drier...)
The room is really small, and the bed too...
