The room was lovely
The bar could be more homely. It felt very clinical.
Liked the little touches in the room plus sea view
Room seemed a little tired
Lounge area, library and bar very comfortable and well staffed
The water was far too hot in the evening even in its coldest setting and flatuated between Luke warm and hot in the morning. There was no privacy curtain on the window in the bathroom.
good sized room, friendly efficient staff in reception and restaurant
scaffolding outside bedroom window and loud late night disco in function room
We liked the location of the hotel and how easy it was to walk to the theatre. It is very close to a wide range of restaurants. Our room was probably one of the most comfortable rooms we have stayed in and it was very spacious. We both disliked the tea at breakfast the following morning but this was replaced with coffee without question and it was served with a smile!
Nice airy spacious room with a large bed. The breakfast was good . The staff were very efficient and friendly. Overall, a nice hotel
I found the room quite cold, I turned the heating up but it didn't get any warmer. The duvet didn't go right over the bed so every time I turned over I became uncovered. I also expected a fridge in the room.
Very helpful staff and a good relaxed atmosphere.
The evening meals could have been more adventurous. Sadly, the lift was out of action, so climbing 4-floors at the age of 71yrs was quite a challenge. Perhaps the management do this to give guests an appetite for their evening meal. We would like to have had dinner at 6.30pm. We were aware that snacks are available from the bar.
seaview, lovely airy room, bar staff very nice, comfy big bed
This is situated right on the seafront, overlooking the bandstand. It is a 3 minute walk to the theatres and to some excellent restaurants near the theatres. The room and hotel was clean and very comfy. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly and more than happy to help us
The room we were in on the 4th floor had no air con. The temperature outside the room was 2 degrees yet we had to open the window as the room was very hot, I would not be keen to be in this room in the summer. We did not visit the gym as you have to pay for the use which we found surprising
Seafront location Spacious room Luxurious toiletries Excellent front of house staff Attentive housekeeping Super SPA treatments Tea and coffee in the room Generous breakfast choices Relaxed atmosphere Dedicated reading area
Soft mattress Strict No Pet policy Lack of swimming pool(such a shame for a hotel of this size and standard).
Staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was warm and comfortable and food was very good.
Rooms are a little dates.would except a 4* hotel not to leave sachets for a drink in your room but something more akin to their rating.
Prior to moving up north we lived in eastbourne and walked past the cavendish on a daily basis We returned to visit family and thought we would stay The outside does not give it credit we walked in to a stunning reception the Bar is superb and the room was beautiful So pleased we booked again for 6 weeks tine
The location, the staff, the room, the instant hot water and the public areas except restaurant.
The dining room is rather lacking in atmosphere and tired looking. The dinner menu rather unimaginative which is probably why it was empty.
Lovely facilities, great location for all of Eastbourne's attractions.
Room was very warm on arrival - but was easily turned down / off as required.
The relaxing atmosphere
The staff were very efficient and helpful. the location in front of the sea makes the hotel unique. Breakfast was delicious and abundant.
a fantastic hotel ,offering a good sized room and friendly staff. The food was not overpriced and was of a good quality.
If i had to find anything to say i didnt like it was only that the hotel was way too warm.that is my own personal opinion, but my wife called it lovely and toastie. Any problems would just be being pickie for the sack of it.
The staff, the room size, breakfast.
Very good and very reasonable as out of season. Robert Biffa
Very comfortable Supurb coastal views Friendly staff
Our room overlooked the sea and was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel provides a parking voucher for £1 a day and we were able to leave our car just opposite the entrance for two days. The town centre is in easy walking distance. Wifi is listed as chargeable, but there was an unsecured connection operated by the hotel which was pretty good.
Might be a problem having a sea-facing room in summer as there is no air conditioning and I'm not sure whether it's possible to open the windows. The bar is a bit dreary (just a large open space with not much appeal), we bought our drinks and went into the lobby which was much cosier.
The staff were very helpful and my room was very spacious.
The hot water was very hot when it came to me having a shower. Due to the number of guests stay.
Friendly, helpful staff & great location
rooms were too hot
Location near to ttain station, on sea front, good buffet breakfast, warm welcome on Reception, large comfy room with good hot ahower & hot chocolate/tea facilities. Free wi fi.
The spa doesn't have a pool or a steam room.... The massage was good. Sauna very hot. But the spa needs some work.
