The hotel is situated right opposite the bandstand - fantastic views from our upgrated executive seaview room, bar food was excellent, breakfast was lovely too. Great location, reception staff and breakfast room staff very helpful.
The bar staff did not keep the tables cleared very well, they did not seem to have the same passion to ensure the customer was enjoying their stay.
Excellent from the moment we stepped inside the door. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Great breakfast. Tea, coffee, biscuits and mineral water in room which was replenished daily. The shower had best water pressure I've ever known, thankyou
The ' entertainment' , I had gone to bed and it was SO loud it sounded like it was just behind my curtains.
spacious room, great quality breakfast, excellent service.
room was bit too warm (stayed at start of Sept) despite a free standing fan.
the Cavendish is right on the seafront and is handy for the thearters
Staff extremely pleasant.
Breakfast excellent choice but could have been served hotter.
Everything the food especially good
Very comfortable spacious room. Quiet and well appointed hotel, elegantly furnished. Pleasant and welcoming staff.
The bar was dark and over air conditioned.
Delightful, helpful Staff.Good food .Very central for the town.Very pleasant rooms
Dining room in need of refurbishment.Unreliable lift!
The staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and helpful
The staff in reception were dismissive and unhelpful to the point of rudeness. Parking is a joke!
The location was great, our room had a wonderful sea view, the breakfast was excellent would def re book.
The room was lovely but no air conditioning very hot.
It's such a nice hotel in a good location.
Nothing I can think of.
Position of hotel. Good sized rooms. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Very helpful staff.
No air conditioning and whilst we had a sea view room and the windows open it was very very warm in the room. Only one rather slow lift.
I particularly liked the location of the hotel and that it felt like a traditional seaside hotel with lots of people around enjoying the atmosphere. The were friendly and attentive.
Staff very friendly and polite service very good bar and restaurant and value for money
View from room looking onto fire escape
A very smart and comfortable hotel well placed for both the town and the beach.
Couldn’t find fault with anything.
Good location, professional staff, large room not on front but had a view of the sea and the bandstand, comfy bed and good room service. Good breakfast choice
Dining room very large and open. Only one lift so sometimes a delay if not using the stairs.
Reception staff very professional , knew their business, friendly, fast and efficient. Very good hotel with a nice atmosphere.
some of the breakfast room staff are a bit full of themselves (not too hard to ignore so no real problem). Could not get waiter attention in the bar so gave up.
Room View and facility's
Wifi did not work very well in room Was the only down side
Excellent breakfast, fresh fruit was of a high standard and prepared with great care. Gluten free toast was also available
The bed was very hard and the pillows didn't give enough support.
The location couldn't have been better. The room was large and airy with a wonderful sea view. We had a meal in the evening with friends who agreed it was excellent food with service to match. We hope to revisit in a couple of months.
Good quality hotel with food to match
The high ceilings, the half board dinner, location
The non-seaview rooms have dreadful view, furnishing is a bit dated, price on the expensive side
Really comfy bed. Good bathroom with natural light and an excellent shower. Really helpful and friendly staff. I had a fabulous massage in the spa. There was plenty of choice from the breakfast buffet for vegetarians. Very close to the seafront and amenities.
The noise of the wind whistling round the old chimneys was a bit off-putting at first but did add to the character of the place. There could have been a more adventurous choice of meals for vegetarians in the restaurant.
Lovely hotel on the seafront. Very easy to access everywhere. Had a room with a sea view, and we were delighted with the room as it had a balcony. It was a lovely bright room. Breakfast was good too.
