the setting of the hotel was good and the service from the waitresses was excellent. The rooms were interesting and the bed very comfortable. the 'induction' included a warning not to eat or drink anything not bought at the hotel, it was odd and unnecessary. |

Warm welcome by the owner, comfortable en-suite room. The hotel is set in a very peaceful location and the rhododendrons in full bloom are beautiful. Would be really good for small group of friends wanting time away. Very friendly staff. Circumstances seemed to dictate a very limited menu. Food was very good but too expensive. If the room price (for multiple night stays) had included dinner as well as breakfast, then the whole deal would have been better value. I had the feeling the hotel was pretending to be more than it actually was. This is a shame because I would like to be able to recommend it more than I can. |

A wonderful place to stay if you want to send one whole weekend. Its a nice place in itself but in a very far flung area Insects and flies, and the dusty smell in my room |

We were welcomed by the owner and made most welcome - the public rooms were nicely decorated - bedroom large & comfortable, but lacking in modern comforts, ie power shower, Sky TV, Fridge etc The outside of building & immediate grounds were not in very good repair - stonework cracked, patio full of weeds & garden furniture a bit old. Malt Whisky was overpriced |

Very peaceful environment with exceptional attentive and helpful staff. Superb food and a connoisseur's wine list. The perfect place to chill out. |
