Location, staff always on hand, helpful, polite and friendly, food excellent.
Really can't think of any thing.
People, room, bed, all the best!
The staff where excellent, polite and very helpful throughout the whole stay.
The water in the shower was only warm with minimal heat in both the morning and night time. The remote controls on the TV where frustrating in that they would not operate properly and where very slow.
Staff in particular David the door man Alan the car parking assistant had a great stay
No Real ales in the bar but plenty inYork.
the bed was lovely
The hotel is stunning, the staff were welcoming & friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the room was beautiful, we were upgraded to a junior suite & it was superb. Perfect location. The whole stay was just luxurious from start to finish can't wait to return, I can highly recommend this hotel.
Friendly courteous service Excellent pool, in vaults of ancient LNER HQ. Good breakfast (£15/20 is good value). Good access to station and city centre
Some might find the decor in public areas heavy, but it's 'heritage'.
Great location - easy access to train station and all local attractions
Lovely hotel located in a beautiful historical building. Very comfortable stay with excellent attention to detail in the rooms. The complimentary umbrella was a hit due to the wet weather and the cocktails were delicious. Can't wait to do it again.
The only fault with our stay was the,"foisty," smell in the steam room in the spa. It wouldn't stop us going again.
As soon as we were met and greeted outside the hotel and our cases carried in,the tone was set for the rest of our stay. In every aspect attention to detail was first class and every need was met by staff who were both friendly and professional. Staying at the Cedar Court Grand Hotel in York is a wonderful experience and one I would highly recommend.
I cannot think of one thing lacking in this hotel. The only negative thought I have is that I wished I was staying longer.
The concierge staff were very obliging
The dead flies all over the carpet in the room; The blandness of the room; The starkness of the corridors; The lack of atmosphere in the dining room; The greasiness of the breakfast
Apart from one of the bar staff everything about our stay was lovely.
One of the bar staff was quite rude and he later tried to short change us.
On arrival we were immediately greeted by valet parking and straight into the relaxing reception. Lovely room on 2 levels. Pre dinner drinks
Wifi was poor and intermittent Heating was by an a/c unit
. Very friendly staff. Good food. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We will be returning soon.
Great location, lovely staff. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to use the spa facilities, so I can't comment on that. The room was amazing!
The shower was a bit weird. You can't turn on until you're inside, and it's tough not to get water all over the floor.
Friendly staff Nice breakfast
Very attentive personal service
Room was quiet, lovely bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Staff very polite, but friendly.
wifi is okay but why dont consider to joint freely without passowrd?
Extremely comfortable beds.
Breakfast would have been better if there had been a better selection of cold meats.
comfort of room lovely staff
Fine hotel, very comfortable with a really good "feel"
The friendliness and professionalism of the staff. From the concierge to room maids. The rooms so clean and comfortable, beds and duvets amazing, robes and slippers fab, bathrooms spotless, apart from taps not working in bathrooms, room 220 , executive room. Forgot to mention this at reception when we checked out, didn't want to spoil our stay! Pool was amazing! Loved it!
