The service was superb Upgraded to junior suite but even without that it was still excellent value for money. The location means it is within the heart of the city but is away from the more hectic side if things
Very minor point but Parking is across the street in the NCP and although a very short walk away it can detract from the experience slightly. Valet parking is available however.
The building, staff and food were very good
The room price for this standard of hotel was very expensive !
The spa, and gym are great. My wife and a facial which she said was the best she had ever had.
nothing to dislike -the place and the staff were wonderful.
Exceptionally clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. They had though of everything.
Staff were very friendly, rooms very comfortable with everything you could need.Food in Hudsons Restaurant was amazing. Great location for shops, railway station and tourist attractions.
Had to pay £100 deposit on check-in which I wasn,t aware of.Supplement for a cooked breakfast, only continental breakfast included in price, bit unfair most folk would have one or the other.
Perfect location gorgeous cosy room lovely staff
Nothing everything was so lovely
Room size availability of power sockets cleanliness service atmosphere location architecture/history opulance breakfast quality and choice flexibilty of exit time parking
Breakfast, scrambled eggs on Sat 13th Dec excellent. Breakfast, scrambled eggs on Sun 14th Dec. poor. Scrambled eggs should be moist and loose by the time they reach the table. They should not be set and rubbery. They were sent back and replaced with fresh which we accepted.
Excellent Friendly Staff Can't do enough for you Attention to detail exceptional Relaxing Place to go for shopping, seeing the sites and relaxing
Good location, large room. Excellent facilities and great staff that couldn't do enough, polite and professional. Really enjoyed our stay.
Tap didn't work in the room , had to get the porter to fix the t.v and the beds are hard.
Having to pay £20 for parking. Having paid a lot of money was told on arrival the 2 restaurants were fully booked and couldn't dine in - this was a special birthday celebration for my husband. Our suite smelled strongly of drains. Very disappointing - will not be going back.
Good location. Bar area cosy
Very large room but soulless feels too much like an office building.
All staff we came into contact with were of the highest standard. Most professional having clearly had considerable in depth training on how to maintain very high standards. From the Front door staff, conscierge, reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant waiters right through to management, we were dealt with most courteously and professional. The cleanliness of such a large hotel is first class. All in all a fabulous few days away in wonderful surroundings. We will be back.
Having to leave and come home!!
Very nice room with really comfy bed and pillows. Nice attention to detail, plate of fruit and complimentary pot of tea on arrival. All staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean.
The air con/heating was a little noisy. We were unable to access the wi_fi during our one night stay.
Location great, spacious room, helpful professional staff
Found the room heating tricky and we were really hot. Would have asked for it to have been adjusted had we been staying more than one night
We have stayed at Cedar court before and have always loved our stay the Hotel has a lovely feel to it and the service is excellent we went for the mad hatters tea party which you could not fault in display and content food delicious, magical. You are so close to the center of York which looked lovely ready for Christmas.
There was nothing we did'nt like
Everything especially the staff, there is nothing to not like it really is superb.
Spa and Spa staff are fantastic
Reception staff all a bit offhand, not friendly or welcoming despite the initial smiles 3:00pm check in quite ridiculous and after a 5 hour drive to get there offhand reception staff made us wait more than an hour for our room. I guess they get away with it with Japanese and US tourists but we won't be staying here again
Good location, spotless, lovely breakfast. Staff very helpful.
Room, spacious hallways, pool, best staff and introduction to hotel. Personal tour to our room and even highlighted the escape routes in case of a fire. Double shower, Molten Brown products & my 2 year old daughter loved the lifts ! Oh yeah, great location too
Heating was not the most intuitive, but I think I just had a long journey getting there.
Everything. Been going to the Cedar Court since it opened in 2010. Fantastic hotel
Just returned from another wonderful stay at cedar court. Hotel was as great as ever - which is to be expected of a five star hotel. Lovely room, attentive staff and great location
Our room was above a function room with a live band playing on the Saturday evening. It was very loud but probably to be expected from a city hotel in December
Excellent location. Close to train station and to shops. Friendly staff. Very good cooked breakfast. Spacious room.
Room had high ceilings so it was difficult to keep warm.
Hotel very comfortable and excellent position for town centre. Staff very attentive.
Poor service at breakfast. Having to wait a long time after order taken. Would expect better from a five star hotel.
The bed super comfy
The shower was poor for the luxury bathroom
