Score from 61 reviews Superb
near to facility I needed. Room was reasonable size.
Could hear doors on corridor banging shut all night, People on phones in next room could be heard. (as if in your room, with out them shouting ) Drawers and cupboard been open and shut could be heard from next room. Room door lock, locked me out of room before 11am the next day. Mould on grouting in shower area.
Free parking is a must in a hotel and I like to see this. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is lovely and what a lovely front aspect to the hotel.
where the TV in the bedroom was situated but this is minor.
The receptionists were always really nice and very helpful. The room was clean.
No mini bar, a ridiculously high room service charge. One particular member of bar staff who was rude, had a confrontational attitude and no idea how to address a guest correctly. Hotel was quite noisy, lots of drunk corporate guests. Really creeky floor outside my room which regularly woke me up. Bath was tiny, the water was often luke warm and unpleasant. Uncomfortably high temperatures in lifts and corridors, dated decor.
friendly staff, lovely room, fantastic breakfast
Everything was perfect make our anniversary one to remember.
Very large room with s comfortable bed.
The rooms were very warm and it didn't seem possible to adjust the temperature. They'd made up an extra bed as requested but didn't leave an extra cup.
Dining room and staff were excellent.
Too many BT vans in the car park spoiled the hotel image.
Helpful and efficient reception staff
It all looks a little tired and in need of at least some decoration
Friendly staff, good location and good breakfast
Wi-Fi-couldn't log in to the hotel Wi-Fi on either mine or my wife's I-pod and mobile phone
Cleanliness, and staff
On arrival, the room we were allocated had a very perculiar and rather unpleasant smell. The bed was rickety, moving from side to side when you moved on the bed. On asking to be moved, we were politely shown another room, where the lighting was faulty. The third room was ok, but furnishings and carpet look tired and faded, and yet another rickety bed! Very poor!!
This is our usual Harrogate retreat and it never fails to impress! The staff are out on their own in terms of friendliness and helpfulness.
Absolutely nothing! Even the weather was great!
lovely breakfast, great room, great staff
The welcome is first rate, the rooms are large, comfortable and well maintained. The Staff cannot do enough for you, being very knowledgeable about the area, the food they serve and things to do. I saw the dining room staff going round with temperature probes checking that the food was at the correct temperature. The setting for the hotel gives it a great start with open land (The Stray) across from the hotel and all the attractions of Harrogate a short 10 minute walk away on the flat. It is our second visit that we have just taken and we do hope to return again.
Good location quiet considering near the stray.breakfast very good, choices varied from fruit to full English.Staff friendly and helpful.
Had superior room but thought a bit overpriced for what we had. But enjoyed the weekend and would return.
Beautiful setting with large parkland opposite. Comfortable, relaxed ambience with very attentive staff. Enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant.
Wifi was a problem, but rectified by reception staff. Creaky floors were a minor irritation to a very positive experience.
Excellent comfortable bed. Good location for Harrogate International Conference centre
Poor bar meals Not great value for money
Nice helpful staff. Big room.Good parking.Ok cheap room service food.
Noise from bathroom of room next door. No yoghurt at breakfast despite sign saying they had lovely homemade yoghurt. Breakfast hot food very unappetising. Needs redecorating. Disorganised checkout. Much fiddling with the computer etc !
Location, breakfast & decor were all excellent
Lovely quiet room. Superbly comfy bed, best nights sleep I've had in ages! Few minutes walk to local shops & bars.
The room smelled a little stale when we arrived, a little bit sickly sweet like cheap mens deodorant! Room temperature was a bit on the warm side & not adjustable. Slept with the window open.
Staff very good and friendly, appearance of hotel was good
Very noisy at night as people walking through pathway at back of hotel
Convenient for the Harrogate flower show
Location Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Comfortable rooms
We had 2 rooms and could only get wi fi in one ... didn't report to reception as it was only a one night stay
Breakfast Service / employees General comfort Location / Silence
Too senior clientele (for younger visitors) A bit old styled decor
Not a lot.
Everything. Beautiful on the outside not on the inside! Decor dated. Bedroom all in orange. Not as close to the Exhibition centre as stated a good 20m walk away time consuming when going backwards & forwards. As two young females bad at night & had to wait 45m. For a cab.
tables and chairs in garden added an extra bed at no extra charge and refunded cost of single room great choice at breakfast
road noise penetrated the windows despite hotel being set back from road
