Gorgeous room, really clean and comfortable.
Problems with shower.
Really comfy bed
Room booked was not available when we arrived.fortunately another guest offered to swap rooms as they were also arriving.
All aspects of our hotel including the quality of the breakfast was most enjoyable. The service provided by all staff was good.
We attended a family reception on the Sunday at lunchtime but the quality of the meal was disappointing.
Nicely located hotel well presented
Breakfast was a little like 'Rosie's Cantina' Prefer breakfast hot and served rather than buffet style
location into harrogate was a 5 minute walk lovely hotel room and food was lovely
only problem was lack of hot water when showering
The hotel was lovely with lots of facilities based in nice grounds. The staff/service was ok. The hotel was a short walk into the centre.
Honest reception/bar staff which returned my handbag that I left in the lounge. cosy rooms and comfortable bed
The food was poor, ordered room service and the pizza was totally burnt. Oh and get down early if you want breakfast because the chef doesn't always agree to bringing out more food even within the stated breakfast times. Not sure if there is a slight discrimination issue here, we was shown to the back of the building for breakfast each morning, despite the fact the main lounge had plenty of seating spare. Our room had a blocked sink and yes, we was moved rooms for the last night of our stay but had to wait for that provision even though we did report it the day before.
The meal and comfort of the bed
Tha wait for the room was an hour and a half
Friendly staff, nice location, food was nice but a little over priced.
Good location for the town centre.
The room we were in was right near the lift which made noise all night. Walls are quite thin so you can hear people talking and TVs from other rooms.
The staff were extremely helpful, the room bright and clean, and the location was ideal.
Slow wifi, but it was free.
Friendly Duty Manager.
Room cold on arrival. Room service terrible, phone rang and rang when trying to place the order. Food bought up uncovered and lukewarm. Drinks order forgotten. Wifi signal appalling. Queued for breakfast - cost £10 per head.... had better for £3 in a garden centre. Overall very disappointed. Would not stay again
Location was okay , ten minute walk to town centre
Room was tired, dirty, toilet didn't flush, breakfast was awful, staff were unkempt just really poor. Last time we stayed was 10 years previous, it hadn't changed!
Location, cleanliness, breakfast options
Awful delay on check in. 2 hour delay for room availability.
Comfort Space Breakfast Staff
Sound proofing between rooms was poor
Large double room with separate bedroom for my daughter
The restaurant area was cold and lacked atmosphere, service was slow
Enjoyed Harrogate and surrounding countryside in spite of cold weather. Easy to walk into town and cinema only 5 mins walk away (a bonus for us as we don't have one near us at home).. Room was very comfortable and quiet (even though there was a wedding at the hotel.). Breakfast good and evening meal was fine too. My husband enjoyed using the gym.
No real problems. Only slight niggle was that we had lunch in the bar on arrival which was a bit disappointing, -my cheese jacket had very little cheese and husband's sandwich could have had fresher bread. I couldn't get free wifi to work properly (but could usually use 3G anyway.)
An attractive hotel, close to shops and local attractions. A good choice of breakfast buffet items.
My husband would have liked individual pots of jam and marmalade at breakfast!
Beds were comfortable and room was nice and clean.
We were on 3rd floor room 403 and something was hitting the roof all night long in the wind so we got no sleep at all! Wifi signal was weak in our room. Staff were on the whole excellent, however while reserving a table for dinner with the resturant the receptionist came over and took our reservation for someone she was checking in!
Comfortable, spacious room. Good bed, but mattress a little bit soft. Lovely view over gardens.
We were in room 217. Walls between rooms were so thin, we could, literally, hear every word from next door. Not a good thing when they returned to their room late at night! Also, water from shower was so scalding hot, that I had to end up washing my hair in the wash hand basin, as I would have had ended up with serious burns if I'd put my head under the spray!
Only 1 bath towel, came back at 2pm after early start ,room not cleaned, put do not disturb sign on door, maid telephoned, woke me up ,to say we had do not disturb on door did we want room cleaning!!!!! Idea was do not disturb
Great situation not far from the showground. Ample parking. Charming public rooms. Friendly bar with drinks at fair prices. Good size bedroom. Plenty of towels & pillows.
Our bedroom was cold, even with the heater working. The bathroom was worse with the bath water little more than warm. The steak we had for dinner was well cooked but what accompanied it was almost none existent. The bakewell dessert arrived with no thought given to presentation & was burnt. Breakfast was plentiful but pre cooked & almost cold, with sausages that were solid & bacon that my knife could not cut.
