“The facilities and room stand out. The rooms are spacious, fairly modern and comfortable. There is a good bar and restaurant and ease of access to the motorway.”

Location, Plenty of Parking, Free WI Fi, Excellent Food. The cod and chips was brilliant and the freshly cooked breakfast on our first day a real treat. The following day the cooked and kept warm buffet was not so good.

we thought it was excellent value for money although we did not pay to have breakfast as we thought that this was expensive as asda is down the road where you can get a breakfast for alot less. apart from this the facilities were excellent and we will definately come again. well worth it. the fact that the breakfast was expensive but you do not have to have it. we chose not to.

It was clean and tidy and the hotel does take dogs The restaurant food was expensive and not what I would call high quality the same could be said about the breakfast. The bar prices were very high and the bar staff could not be bothered (person stood behind bar talking to a colleague whilst we stood waiting to be served and only served us when her conversation had finished) Also noticed if you booked breakfast at time of making booking the price is £13-75 but if ordering a breakfast when checking in is only £10 (either way it's not worth it)

Family room option. Catering and service for private party (Gaskell) was excellent. Bar shut at 11am and understaffed, breakfast too expensive for family break,

Comfortable and quiet, despite a wedding taking place for the weekend. Room was comfortable and clean, and amenities weer excellent Service in the restaurant was fairly slow, but was no doubt impacted by the large wedding going on.

This a good/excellent hotel on most fronts. A lot of money has been spent on it. Cigarette smoke in the ventilation system - a lot of it. despite notice in room saying guests would pay a penalty for smoking. Internet access - fast access is not free.

Cleanliness, friendly staff, relaxing ambience.... I personally think for functions i.e. 25th Wedding Party, it was rather expensive for people who travelled and required overnight stay. (No discount for function attendees) No deposit return if unable to attend.

Very clean with friendly staff. Hotel is very dog friendly which was our main concern. Food in the restaurant at night was terrible. Hairdryer in room didn't work

Rooms very outdated, after previously staying there a few years ago we were disappointed. Shower took a long time to eventualy get warm, not hot, no pressure, and the toilet didnt flush properly. Staff not very friendly, in other hotels we have stayed staff say morning and an hello to guests, felt very uncomfortable and not like previous stay there in 2007.

I booked this hotel due to the special offer that was available. Just to use as a base for a night out with friends, but the quality of the rooms, food and onsite facilities are high enough that it could easily be central to a relaxing weekend break and I would happily stay there again.

Rooms are clean and comfortable !!! Very good leisure facilities. Free wifi is a good plus point Rooms look dated and the bathroom looked as if it was last tiled in the 1970's Compared with other hotels for the same money it is not real value for today's business traveller requiring more modern surroundings

It was a very comfortable bed.and it was also very quiet in the room we were in, apart from in the morning when the cleaners were in the next room. My husband had forgotten his razor, we asked if there were any available,I was shocked to find out we had to pay for one, having stayed in lots of 4* and above hotels where they are offered with no charge.

Location close to motorway. Ease of parking Friendly atmosphere The heater in the room was not fixed to the wall correctly. This should have been picked up by routine maintenance. Extractor fan over-run is quite long. No safe in room. Could have been improved with Sky Sports in the room

It was fantastic to be able to have a smoking room that was still clean and did not smell. The room service food was lovely. There were only 2 tea bags in the room and I had to walk what felt like miles from reception to my room carrying lots of heavy luggage

Staff were always cheerful and happy to help. Bar food was well presented and value for money. The restaurant menu was very expensive and not very good for choices although had you asked they would have catered for your prefered choice. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable.

Perfect location seconds from motorway Expensive. 'Executive' room on a par with Premier Inn but three times the price. Restaurant food and service both a little amateurish. Having said all that - a pleasant enough place to lay your head.
