Able to book in late at night. Excellent bed
Doors bang with a clunk due to weight and locks.Annoying at 6.45 if you don't need to be up at that time.It was continuous and voices carried. No signs asking people to be considerate. More peaceful in the Campanile I have stayed at, at half the price.
Location. Breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant and courteous and did move us to a superior room which was very nice.
The uninviting standard rooms were not by any means 4 star. Evening meal choice limited.
the breakfast was too expensive
bed was fairly comfortable.
no heating in room got transferred to superior room which didn't seem a lot different to the standard room except that the heating did work! Have to go outside to get to the pool/gym. corridors cold and dated.
Friendly staff , good location. Warm room , plenty storage & hanging space
Small pool , not just for residents use . Decor very dated , pillows too hard .
Everything other than the food at my annual works Xmas party
The food was appalling
Meals were very good; leisure facilities were good for what we needed .... chill out in pool/Jacuzzi and sauna; room was a nice size; staff were very pleasant and helpful
The bed wasn't too great. Double bed ...one side felt like it was sloping ...time to change the mattress
Room wasn't clean, still coffee in the mugs, toothpaste in the glasses in the bathroom, found a huge ball of hair on the floor. I'd recommend booking an upgraded room, apart from that the hotel is lovely.
Pool nice after a hard days work.
The food was excellent
The room stunk of cigarettes the tv wouldn't work and cobwebs on the ceiling
Swimming pool and gym. Value for money.
Just double beds in standard rooms. For a 4 star, it needs some refurbishment
Nice big hotel, ideal location for travelling elsewhere. Food was very good
Put on booking form needed a cot for our baby, rang the next day to check ,said it wasn't on booking form, when we checked it was, got to hotel said had no knowledge of needing a cot!! Got one in the end after a wait!! Also staff member told us wrong way to room and the layout of hotel means lifts only go to certain areas so ended up lifting pram down two flights of stairs!! Room was supposed to be ground floor aswell and was up five steps!! in the bathroom the bath had mould in the silicone!!
That the TV worked..
The guy at the desk didn't seem to know what he was doing and our booking did not come up on the system. The lights in the room were annoying and we couldn't work the heater. Room service wasn't clear and it is an extra 5 pound for a necessary'tray' when you buy food there.
Location was good.
The bed was to hard, didn't get a good night sleep, woke up next morning aching all over, the heated towel rail not working, when addressing these issues to reception, was told heated towel rail was a health and satay issue that why it was on, however we stays in hotels regularly and alway had heated towel rail, so a bit puzzle at to reason given.
The public bar area was freezing and we had to sit with coats on.
We had a family problem and didn't actually get to stay the whole night but staff very understanding and friendly and helped us very much
The fact we couldn't make the most of the full night!
Room was clean ,staff was friendly if i have to visit Wakefield again i would definetly stay again
Fire alarm became on twice middle of night without any reason.
Second room was modern felt like it was in a different hotel to the first one.
First room looked like it was last decorated 20 years ago. Heater did not work was cold. Bath towels had holes in them and were thread bare. Food was not good value for money. Pool and Spa were not open and that was why I chose the hotel.
The food in the restaurant was good Location next to the M1
The hotel reception & dining area were very cold. The room was very cold when we arrived; thermostat was set at below 10 degrees centigrade when outside temp.was below freezing and snow was on the ground. We stayed for two nights and our room was not serviced at all. The reception staff were just about civil but the restaurant staff were good at their jobs under cold conditions. The room we had suffered from several defects;leaking wash hand basin, kettle cut out before boiling, shower control loose, lack of hot water to sink, window was not sealed and so there was a lot of cold draughts and road noise. No free WiFi available.
Staff always helpful, especially at the Christmas break time where families are around. Facilities are very good and cleanliness is good. Food was decent. Received a private call atating what hours the facilities around hotel where open and vlosef at during Christmas Day which I thought was helpful and a wonderful way to look after customers. Looking forward to my next visit on 1-3 January 2015.
Large tv screen Warm Handy for our purpose of visiting relatives Good foyer
Standard room a bit dated Towels were very thin Pillows were rather solid
Quiet room, good bed, clean, friendly staff
Breakfast food could be better. Decaf ground coffee would be appreciated. Breakfast time conflicted between room directory and hand out
Comfy bed, spacious room, great list of tv channels which i haven't come across in any other hotel, clean room
Doors made a loud noise when closed, being woken by staff/visitors having a discussion o/s room.
Room was abit dated but had everything you needed.close to motorway and good pubs also close by.
The bed was so hard was like sleeping on a board and every time you moved the headboard rattled.
Welcome. Staff. Room. Tea/coffee snack facilities.
Shower did not have hot water. Had to run bath. No soap holder on wall. Heated towel rail did not work
