heating wasn't working room was cold came And sorted straight away
Smokers gathered at entrance could barely breath Very uncomfortable bed with springs poking through Unable to book a table. For dinner till after 900pm when arrive at 1800
Overall the hotel is very well located. Value is great for the level of standard. I wouldn't say its a 5 star hotel.
Nothing to say I didn't like as only a one night stay
Bathroom needs updating. Only one towell provided in bathroom in a double room.
Well appointed, clean room. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Price was not too bad and it was close to the m62. The reception area was tidy and fairly modern
Dated, cold, and odd location. The room overlooked some grotty looking houses. It was freezing and the oil radiator they brought had broken feet so it could barely stand up. The towels had a funny smell and the whole room just felt like it needed a revamp.
Good breakfast. Friendly staff.nice public areas.good sports facilities.
Mattress very uncomfortable.room needed a little bit of redecoration e.g. Lampshades.bathroom grouting.
Price was alright for bed and breakfast Shower was powerful Rooms were big enough Breakfast was nice
Beds are like a rock!!!! Could do with an upgrade-flowery carpets, flowery walls, looks like my grandmas house.
I'm a regular guest...I always find Cedar Hotel a right solution for my business visit to Huddersfield. This time I had a really bad experience. I had a dirty room, with broken sink. The service at the restaurant and bar has been really poor. I waited 25 minutes before that waiter get the order (even if I tried to call them at least 3 times). In general I noted that level of service it's not like my previous experience. I'm not sure if next time I will choose again this hotel.
Hotel was great did exactly what it said on the tin and just a little bit more.
Booking.com! thought we had booked b and b only to find that we had to pay extra for breakfast which meant that over a 2 night stay we paid £40 more than we would have if we had paid directly through the hotel
Staff service. Free Wifi Flat screen TV and multi-channels. Breakfast food.
Music from the bar could be heard in room 122 late into the night. The toaster took too long. Having to ask and wait for syrup for the waffles/pancakes.
Breakfast no eggs for considerable time. Bacon sloppy. Waitress forgot to bring my tea had to ask someone else.
It is covenient to travel from the Huddersfiedl railway station.
The hotel did not have warm water in the shower which was extremely inconvinient due to cold weather. The food menu did not have many options.
The room was clean and the bed was ok
Carpets were very old and tired looking. Breakfast was terrible substandard food it was awful and not presented very well
The bed wasn't comfortable
Breakfast. Decor of the room. Plenty car parking. Close to motarway.
General wear and tear of the hotel questions how this can be a four star hotel. Carpets worn and need replacing. Bathroom needs work. Not being informed of the Christmas parties going on until 1am in the morning resulted in little sleep.
The staff were brilliant on the evening and exceeded expectations
The morning. Check out isn't until 11am. I booked a late check out for 1pm. Why were staff knocking on the door, waking us up at 8am and then at 9am. The main reason I chose your hotel was due to the the late check out option and leisure facilities. When we went, we were told the hot tub was ice cold and if we spent 50 mins in the sauna/steam room, we'd end up looking like prunes. Extremely disappointed. I definitely would not recommend for a leisurely, relaxing morning.
The car parking in the past was not always that easy as the hotel car park was used by many people who had no conection with the hotel notices are now up and lots of space. Not as easy to book in I think a new worker. breakfast was good. room well laid out
having to pay for wifi. no british cider
Location close to motorway.
Luke warm water, very noisy hotel and the worst customer service I have ever come across. A manager that just doesn't care. A check in receptionist that doesn't smile or acknowledge guests Very poor customer service
Reasonable room Bed good Clean
Restaurant staff were slow and forgot my drinks order Bar had no cider so had to have a larger Menu was boring and the steak was ridiculously priced taking it off the menu for most business users When my meal came out the meat was dry and I was given tomato sachet of sauce ..... Not a nice way to present sauce in a restaurant unless you're in McDonalds!!
The car park and location
The room had a bad odour smell and was very cold I could not see a heater and bed was not comfortable
Friendly staff, leisure facilities, parking
Food very average, breakfast not great,
The location was convenient for all we wanted to do over the weekend in Huddersfield and the surrounding area. Enjoyed the use of the swimming pool, but would have been helpful if there was advance warning of a pool party on Sunday morning.
The only poor experience we had was breakfast. This hotel was used by a coach party, who clearly beat us to breakfast. We had to ask for glasses, juice, bacon, and everything seemed to take an age to come. Clearly not enough staff on duty for the numbers of guests staying in the hotel. PLEASE will you get a better toaster?
staff - friendly & helpful
Breakfast buffet is very poor - a short order cook would make a big difference.
Bar staff very friendly, and attentive. Breakfast very good.
Bathroom needs upgrading, looked very dirty
