This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few miles of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.

Decor, bathroom was c l e a n ! Linens very good, furniture in room high quality.
Breakfast was expensive
clean totally refurbished, more like a hotel than a B&B. Close to a pub for evening meal.
Sign to small and at the wrong angle to see fro the road.
Fab 5* accommodation Great parking Great wifi Comfortable bed It was super overall!
Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this guest house highly The Lady on reception was wonderful and very helpful indeed
Absolutely lovely venue. Had a great sleep, and a charming hostess.
Wifi wasn't great in the late evening, was Ok the rest of the time.
What a lovely place. We booked the suite so that our 2 year old wouldn't have to sleep in the same room as us. In view of the size of the accomodation, this was great value for money and we all slept very soundly! Only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back.
Really need some signposting from the road, as it was very hard to spot in the dark. Didn't pay for breakfast, as we thought £10 per head for a continental breakfast was steep.
Breakfast was outstanding
Very friendly people run it who wanted to help you enjoy the area. The Old Barn restaurant is 5 minutes away so having a good dinner or a few drinks near the guest house is not a problem. Good size rooms, recently renovated.
It is difficult to find. They need to put up a sign visible to drivers because from the outside it looks just like the driveway to a private residence.
Having to order breakfast the afternoon before. Being asked if we want eggs when breakfast was almost over
Although I was told my room was the smallest one, it was perfect for me. Modern, tasteful, comfortable, amazing shower, large flatscreen, selection of wine, soft drinks, snacks and tea/coffee. Such a comfy bed! Fresh and tasty breakfast, friendly and efficient service (thanks Sue!)
motorway noise outside
The staff were friendly and welcoming, it felt like we had known them For years, 1st time me n my partner had stayed away so little anxious but as soon as we got there we just felt so relaxed, we would def recommend staying here, and it's stunning inside! We loved it and would def come back
There wasn't anything, we didn't have breakfast so we couldn't comment on that
It was peaceful, gorgeous and was very nice!
That you had to pay £10 for breakfast!
The room was well appointed, bathroom very clean and there was a basket of goodies, with an honesty sheet. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided as were toiletries in the bathroom. The receptionist was very charming and helpful
Having to wait till 4pm to check in and trying to find the hotel, I itially wasn't easy
Very comfortable bedding Quiet location
In my opinion at £80 a night without breakfast it didn't represent good value for money with breakfast at an additional £10 per person!! Didn't live up to the "executive room" tag it supposedly had
Fantastic welcome when we arrived. The room was really lovely with a cosy, high quality decor - the shower was fantastic! There were very young kids staying but we coudlnt hear them much so the walls are definitely well insulated! Brilliantly located and easy to find off the M4 as well as being close to Magor which is a really charming little village with all the amenities you would need as well as a few good eateries. A really lovely continental breakfast.
Friendly hostess Nice, large, clean room Good breakfast
Looks like a hotel, but it has luckily the cosyness of a B&B
Great place, comfy and well designed. Would come back again (& again)
The solitude of the location was very nice. The Old Rectory was very comfortable and relaxing.
Our GPS could not find the location but that is no reflection on the establishment. The nice woman at the front desk provided us with great directions.
Very comfortable room and lovely, helpful staff
Very hot day and no air conditioning but a fan was provided.
A lovely location. The room was large, with second bedroom for children. It was lovely to eat outdoors in the patio area in the evening.
We didn't have breakfast mainly because of the price (£10 each).
Very attentive service and faultless facilities. The breakfast was very good.
Great atmosphere, lovely rooms, excellent breakfast and easy access from the motorway. Restaurant 3 min walk - great food - would certainly stay at Celtic Guest House again.
Nothing - all excellent.
Nice shower. Modern decor.
The room is small in size, no air conditioner. Very noisy with window open. The toilet is of the water saving size meaning that it needs flushing 6 or 7 times per use (thus wasting water!). Duvet too thick for summer season.
