staff excellent - friendly helpful & cheerful. Breakfast - good food & fast efficient service. Rooms clean & comfortable
Very close to the train station, and also walking distance to the center. Good room with wifi (also iron on demand, very useful), rather quiet on the backyard side, clean bathroom (with bathtub).
Breakfast options could be more diverse but it's fine in general.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly during our stay. Hotel was conveniently located near the station and not too far from the centre.
During our first night the bed was under the window with a draft on my head. I asked to move rooms the following day and my request was accommodated.
It's possible to walk into the town centre from the hotel and they have plenty of parking space. The cooked part of the breakfast was very good.
They don't service fresh coffee for breakfast, just instant, which is appalling for a 3 star hotel. Our room was small considering that it was described as a deluxe double -the fittings are tired looking and the bathroom could do with an upgrade - it has a bidet and a shower curtain.
the breakfast was unimaginative and the scrambled egg tasteless.
Spacious Double Room with good bathroom. Good place to stay for a couple of days depending on the price you manage to get.
Very old furniture, very soft matress and lots of crackling sounds during the night.
Location comfort friendliness food
Staff were friendly, breakfast was nice.
Room was a bit of a death trap, hurt myself multiple times and too many fire exits making the room look tacky. Nice hotels but if you stay here don't stay in room 204
Wonderful bed, very clean room, reasonable price for Cambridge. Really nice experience.
Unfortunately there was a radiator issue and it was very warm. Only problem though!
property very central meaning we could leave the car at the hotel in their carp park and just walk around
Staff very friendly and helpful Room although not large had everything we needed
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable feel to the building and common areas.
Rooms are not large.
the staff helpfulness and good meals
Location, free parking, staff were fairly friendly and helpful
Furniture and decor all in poor (old and tattered) condition, didn't look clean, tea kettle smelled like it was going to catch on fire when used, bed was hard and pushed right into the eaves, very claustrophobic. Seemed they were charging as much as they possible could to do as little as humanly possible to keep the place up.
Location and parking. Lovely little pub, the flying pig, opposite hotel. It's an OKish hotel compared to other expensive options in Cambridge. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Decor etc same as 20 years ago-bit tired and old fashioned.
Nice hotel with warm and friendly staff, lovely room (I was upgraded to single deluxe, and the room was spacious, with a large bathtub!) I asked for a quiet room and the room didn't face the main road.
Far from town centre but close to train station.
Very nice. Fresh cooked breakfast. Friendly staff.
Easy access to and from Rail Station and well placed for access to city centre
Friendly welcome and suggestions of where to visit in Cambridge, including Winter Fair which we had not been aware of. The hotel was very convenient to railway station, but without noise from trains.
Cosy room and friendly service
Central heating cut during the day, making the room very cold in winter
the service was excellent in both the restaurant and the front desk. Very comfortable beds. , good forceful shower !
the rooms are small but very adequately equipped, so not really a problem unless you intend to spend a lot of time in your room
5 minites walk to railway station, 10 minites walk to city center. Nice staffs, clean and comfortable bed and room. very good resturant, nice food and waiter/waitress, soups in dinner are nice, although I feel the soup salty once.
room door can not be locked from inside, cleaner try to enter room when I was lying in bed (in afternoon) twice. room is small, not comfortable when you sit in front of the desk because you cannot adjust the distance between chair and desk.
welcoming and a quiet hotel. Just a few minutes walk away from the city centre, the colleges and the river. staff were very friendly and helpful.
Not very modern and although very clean, furnishing décor a little tired. However a good shower and bathroom.
The hotel location was ideal for the railway station and very well presented. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was clean and suitably furnished. Breakfast (included) was one of the best we have had.
The bed had a tendency to 'move' as the castors were not lockable. A minor issue!
