Friendly, clean, good brekky - but best of all is the location - very close to train station and an easy walk to the older parts of Cambridge.
Negotiating a narrow staircase with a suitcase.
staff so friendly
Did what it said on the tin. It was 10 / 15 min walk from the town centre. There is parking for some 25(?) cars. Breakfast was acceptable staff v friendly and helpful. Free WiFi
Bar and dining room v. quiet in the evening.
good location, free parking good breakfast, helpful staff.
bedroom was a bit too light at night.
Location, accessible from the centre of town and the train station Allowed early check-in and late check-out
Poorly ventilated room - far too hot in summer Very small room and bed Eaves minimised headroom Only one fan provided Breakfast room was cramped Expensive for the quality of rooms and service
Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Like the reception, manned 24 hours They had a bar and lounge to relax in on ground floor. Our room was at rear so very quiet
Convenience Quietness, a very good nights sleep. Cean and comfortable
Maybe a larger range for breakfast but what we got was good
Service and breakfast were excellent
Rather like going down into a cave BUT WE SHALL COME AGAIN !
Very very helpful staff!
Staff very helpful in letting us check in early. Provided a fan as it was very hot weather. Easy flat walk into town centre
Room just over the restaurant, incredibly noisy early in the night
Room faced the main road and was quite noisy at night. Furniture in the room was quite run down.
Our room was at the back of the hotel so really quiet. Comfortable bed. Near to buses and train station, easy walk into the city and to the Folk Festival
No vegetarian option on the breakfast menu
Very clean hotel with friendly staff, good parking and location very good indeed
paid above the rack price however it was the folk festival weekend so expected.
Staff very polite an accommodating
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was easy to walk into the city from there.
The rooms were rather small.
Good location, straightforward family-style hotel, reasonably comfortable and decent value.
Slightly old-fashioned, decor a little 'tired', minor issue with hot water, no air conditioning.
Friendly and informative reception staff. Comfortable beds
The wet room style shower was tiresome as the entire bathroom floor was soaked for some time after use. Perhaps more floor towels would help
Pleasant room with twin beds Very quiet at night Good breakfast Quick service at breakfast
!5 to 20 minute walk to Cambridge centre
Clean with comfortable bed. Bathroom and towels fresh and clean. Tea and coffee tray. Changed to this room 215 as ground floor was to dark. Staff were very helpful. Free parking was very good.breakfast was ok.
Decor in bedroom could do with updating it was a bit tired. Found it a long walk to city centre although there are buses close by. Only stayed for one night so it was fine for us.
nice friendly , clean hotel, walking distance to city center.
nothing negative to report
The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to the railway station but a bit far from the city centre.
The location was excellent. Very close to the rail station and close to the centrum. The young lady at the reception was very friendly and kind; she gave us excellent restaurants' suggestions!
The interiors were quite shabby and tasteless. I would remove the carpets and put something that could be cleaned easily. It didn't look particularly clean. The fabrics were worn out and everything look quite old. It needs some renovation works with the guidance of someone with a good taste and attention to the details. The hotel deserve it! :-)
