They charge usage fee for the safe. Room was dirty ( hairs on floor, mouthwash in the glass in the bathroom, blood on toilet seat, stain on blanket). No internet access. No air conditioning

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to so many of London's great attractions. The price was exceptional for the location, the rooms were tidy and comfortable, the shuttle bus to Heathrow is an added bonus. The luggage room means an extra day of sight seeing without the hassle of taking luggage.

Hotel was clean, and convenient for what we wanted which was a place to sleep. Too small bathrooms, claustraphobic.Carpets in corridor were worn, but appeared to be clean.Unable to use dining room as in the basement and my friend is asthmatic so lack of fresh air brought on a asthma attack.Would have liked a bar facility, nice to come back to your hotel after a day or eveing out & relax with a drink.

While the bathroom and breakfast were basic, the bedrooms were big everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great very close to victoria station and pimlico tube station. Also there were plenty of lovely restaurants and bars close by. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others for a city break. My only issue would be the bathroom found it very small and old fashioned but it was clean and shower was good.

Location is good. There are rooms which are under groud level - in the basement. In these rooms is very hot, without fresh air and of course without sunlight. No aircondition. Double rooms are very small. Bathroom is depressively small. Breakfast is very very poor!!!!! Breakfast room - small and crammed. This hotel is anounced as "budget", but the price I paid is too much for it.

My stay at this hotel was the worst experinces my partner and I have ever endured .bathroom if you could call it that flooded when having a shower ,the shower head was in a poor working order with black rubber bits coming out of it.The breakfast was appauling steal bread ,tea was like dish water no staff avialable to assist in any way . When checking in was told our room was not avialable until 4 or we could have the room in the basement by the lift which we declined as we read a reveiw about this hotel .

The location is good, the room small but adequate for one night's stayand the bedding was clean also the breakfast was good. The washbasin was blocked. The shower was not divided off (in a cubicle) which meant that the bathroom floor became very wet. The bedding was clean but the hotel overall did not feel clean

The location and that was it. The hotel was way too over priced it should not be the price. The hotel should be classed as a 1 star hotel or a b&b .. it was not worth it. Room was an absolute disgrace. The door was so thin you could hear everything. The wall was so badly built I could put my whole hand through the little space between the wall and the newly built wall. My friend had somebody go through his belongings when he was out luckily nothing was taken. I think the plastic key could be used for every door which was terrible and very dangerous. We expected more for £200 for 2 nights

I found the location idea and the neighbourhood a quiet, relaxed spot for a major city. There was no shortage of restaurants and pubs - and the major sites were only a quick walk away, including Victoria Station. I found the room to be acceptably clean, but I noticed that the comment card from the last customers staying in the room was completely filled out - which led me to question how well-cleaned the room was. As the hotel management probably knows, the pipes are very smelly. We found that we had to keep the washroom door closed at all times (and the windows slightly ajar) otherwise, the room would smell. However, I realize the building is older and I wasn't expecting a brand new facility. Nevertheless, some measures should be taken to correct the smell. Also, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, my credit card was OVER-CHARGED by the hotel. Booking.com quoted a price of £551 yet my card was charged £572, WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. Could Booking.com correct this?

The male receptionist on duty on 19th Jan was exceptionally calm and controlled when having to deal with a difficult (understatement of the year) client. Our room was warm and near the lift! Although not spacious there was enough room to feel comfortable. Breakfast was served in a pleasant room, and there was plenty to eat and drink. The lavatory (s bend) and wash-basin plug needed deep clean - bleach or Viakal - both looked dirty (room 305). The surface below mirror where we made tea/coffee was not wiped clean. As there was plenty of room in the bathroom a small cabinet or shelves would have been useful for our toilet bags, and extra towel hanging rails, of which there were not enough.

Very cheap for the location. Bed was clean and they had room service every day. The bathroom looked to be thrown together. Parts of it was coming away from the wall and there was mastic everywhere. There was also paint on the tv screen. If they spent more time doing it up right the first time it wouldn't be so bad.

I was impressed by the Central House - cheap, clean, and within 7 minutes of Victoria Station. I have stayed in enough low price dumps in the London area that have traded off of their location and thoroughly disappointed me and I expected this to be another but the staff were friendly, helpful and the room clean and totally adequate. It's not the Ritz but it's well priced and clean and perfectly serviceable and a short walk from Victoria Station. I would recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for convenience and a hassle free stay.

When I checked in I was quite tired, wet and stressed as I am new in London to live of which I had no permanent residence and looking for one. I had to get to an appointment and needed to get online quickly, they gave me one hour free to access the address as I hadn't written it down (silly of me). Plus they let me check in early to refresh myself. The following day a staff member offered a website to look into re more permanent accommodation, made a couple of calls on my behalf to help me out. They were very calm when I bit their head off a couple of times and seemed to understand where I was coming from, which was incredible as they were so kind. A lot of hotels offer wifi free these days, so when you do strike one that charges it does now seem odd and a bit irritating. The whole point of selecting a cheaper hotel goes out the window once you realise this. I did point out the difference could have been a slightly more expensive hotel with free wifi and be possibly better off in regards to quality of room/hotel etc. That may be why they gave me one hour free at the start.
