the hotel is durty
Beds were comfortable Location was good with easy access to the tube and some ok cafés
No internet in rooms Internet only worked a couple of times for the whole week 3 flights of stairs Common areas were grubby and in need of redecorating Cleaners only did half their job
The location did suit my need for this trip
The door are not. Fully closed you get the light into your room and you can only have wifi in the lobby. And the only brekfast you get is tosted bread.
The reception staff (female) was so rude. She was so moody and unhelpful. I would never come here beacuse of her overall it was good hotel.
Location price and value for money
Location is good and members of staff were generally nice.
The lift is not working and there is no porter available. It was such a big task carrying our luggage up to the second floor. In addition the WiFi only works at the reception area
Comfy bed Clean room Smiley staff Plenty of parking
Small bathroom (not a massive issue for us as it was a one night stay)
Was given an early check-in as requested. Friendly staff. Good location with shops/amenities and other facilities close by. Bus and tube travel was within walking distance so travel into the centre of London was simple. In a quiet location set back from the main road so there was no traffic noise. Room was clean with tea and coffee available and working TV.
Was advised to pre-book a taxi as it would be cheaper. A two and a half mile journey cost £12 at 1.30pm. The same journey at half past midnight from an unpre-paid taxi was only £6. The mattress and pillows on the bed were very thin and very uncomfortable - this lead to poor night's sleep. The ceilings are so thin anyone walking/moving on the floor above are so loud. Was woken up frequently having found it difficult to get comfortable in the first place.
Hotel location is good, 4 Mts walk to nearby Finsbury Park station. Hotels/ Restaurants/ Super markets are also located in near vicinity. Daily breakfast is also a plus point.
Air-conditioning is not available in rooms. Wi Fi is also intermittent in Lobby. Conceirge service is not available. One of the lady staff at Reception was unfriendly.
The bed was okay
The bulding is old
All spaces were too small. Cleanning at an acceptable minimum. Bathroom space was so small that dressing and undressing had to be made outside.
Room was dirty, beds were old and had no legs...dirty scuff marks all over walls. Woke up in the morning to water pouring down the bathroom wall onto the floor...pretty much a health hazzard.
Near tube and buses Night staff were pleasant and helpful.
The woman on the reception desk was very rude and unhelpful. Room was dirty when we arrived. No bedside lamps or hairdryer in the room. Towels in the bathroom were stained. Continental breakfast was just toast or cornflakes. The milk curdled in my tea on our first day, the kitchen staff just shrugged and said there wasn't any more.
The room was excellent. Clean modern and newly decorated.
Hotel reception area and stairs were shabby. Car park nearly impossible to find but good when eventually located.
clean room. no carpet on the floor in the room
very small room on the attic, only light in the roof, no bedside lamp or bedside table. only one blanket for a Queen size bed. the stairs vas narrow and steap, we heard the neigbour very well, the breakfast was horible :toast , cheese, 2 types of jam. no internet on the room, only in the looby. the neigbourhood was poor, dirty and a littlebit of frightning.
Free Parking access Basic but clean room and toilet
Very basic breakfast Noisy neighbourhood at night Lift wasn't working
The front desk was lovely! It was extremely cheap, the rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were super comfortable. Also, free continental breakfast is always a bonus!
Can't fault it!
The man at reception was helpful when we needed some printing sorted, room was a fair size for the price, good parking facilities
Only wifi available in reception, cold shower in the morning, no fans in rooms & it was unbearably hot when we stayed, breakfast was adequate but room for improvement
Location to the park, comfy beds, good sized room.
Hot rooms, noisy, basic facilities.
The room was in the lobby floor, there was a underground, train and bus stop nearby.
Refrigerator does not work, the room was not clean, so much dust under the goods, the window was broken and the internet does not work even in the area designed to.
The location was great for me as attending wireless festival in Finsbury Park.
The bathroom was small and the shower wasn't great.
Nice room, close to tube
Bathroom was tiny Continental breakfast was only toast or cereal
Location: few mins. walk to Finsbury Park Station. Room was clean and bed was good. Some staff friendly. Good value for money if you are looking for a simple and affordable place to sleep from which to explore London.
Expect no luxury - squeaky doors and barely any sound insulation, basic bathroom facilities in the room, rooms on upper floor very hot and difficult to ventilate in the summer (no aircon), wifi at limited capacity and only at reception (not in rooms), some staff snappy although helpful (some are friendly though), hallways and toilets at reception look run-down and dirty. At this price level, all acceptable as far as I'm concerned especially because the room itself was fine, but don't expect this to be the hidden gem of low-cost London hotels.
room clean (at first day)
breakfast (really) poor room service quite inexistent
