Lovely owners very helpful and make you feel at home. Lovely clean room and facilities at a super price. Breakfast plentiful and superbly cooked fresh to order (great idea to order the previous night,so no waiting for it to be served in the morning). Highly recommend this lovely guesthouse.will be back next time I am in the birmingham area.

Both Marlene and Michael were very friendly and I felt relaxed from the moment I arrived. I was treated like royality. I would definitely use this guest house again if I travel to Birmingham. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I received the best cooked breakfast ever (twice). I would recomend this guest house for anyone looking to be accepted like a member of the family. It is ideally situated for the N.E.C. Wonderful trip to be remembered and my hosts added to that experience.

Michael & Marlene are a friendly couple who made me feel welcome, straight away, The location (only 4.5 miles from the NEC) was good and the price very competative - and it includes a breakfast that sets you up for the day! It is right on the dual carriageway- easy to find, but some traffic noise. I will stay there again.

Owners very friendly and the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was excellent and really set us up for the day. Only 2 minor issues,........ 1 The wooden beds creaked and protested, and that was with not activities going on. 2. We were at the top of the house and volume and water pressure for the shower was a little lacking.

Michael, the owner, was a nice fellow. -too far away from city centre. If interested in city centre, don't stay here -not real b&b experience. More like a cheat hostel -worst thing were room facilities: extremely uncomfortable bed, very hard mattress (you can feel the metal spings on on your back); thin pillows; no sheet to cover yourself, only duvet

Very nice staff, good localization close to nec, wi-fi, free tea and coffee. Small rooms, no space for luggage, all drawers were full of owners things, no place for guest things, some of drawers were broken, the same with wardrobe.

Traditional b&B. Family run. Excellent in all aspects. The en suite was a bit of a squeeze but it didn't realty cause any problems.

The friendliness of the owners, Mike and Marlene, was a big plus for me. They were really nice and very down-to-earth people which meant that the atmosphere was very relaxed and informal. I even got some basic plumbing lessons from Mike :-) Our room was compact, but very clean and cosy, so suited our needs extremely well. I don't really have any major criticism of the place. One of the electrical sockets wasn't working very well, but that wasn't a big problem. Otherwise it all seemed fine to me.

Both Michael & Marlene are lovely people who do their very best to ensure your stay at the Central Guest House is as pleasant as possible. The facilities are both clean, functional and above all they all work! And of course their breakfasts are fantastic. Thank you.

The Guest House was very close to bus stops so travel to the nec was very easy. We were made very welcome upon arrival and everything we needed to know was clearly explained. Breakfast was of a high English standard and presented in an extremely clean and well presented breakfast room. The bedroom was of sufficient size for 2 people and had all the facilities you could ask for from dvd tv to iron and trouser press.

The owners, Marlene & Michael, were like extended family and so helpful. The location of the Guest House was only 15minutes from the nec which was great for our stay. There are multiple choices of restaurants within a 10 minute walking distance. The beds are in serious need of replacement as are the mattresses. This would be my only negative.

The owners. They were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms spotless. I would definately stay here again. There is nothing I didnt like, my only point would be traffic noise in our room, however, being on a main road that it was unavoidable. I believe rooms at the back of the house are very quiet.
