hotel is great location
the room i stayed in smelled of mould like if someone got sick in carpets musty smell in room
Ease of check in with helpful pleasant staff, luggage storage. Location. Good lift system.
Very poor sound proofing in the room, we had to request that guests in next room turn the tv down , we were kept awake till 3am then awakened at 7.30 by the tv. Very small toilet area. Badly placed security safe, a less mobile person could not use it.
Cheap and cheerful, comfortable beds, and the window actually opened.
Folder of informtion in room told us nothing about the surrounding area, just meal times. Room was a bit of a waste of space, would have been better with a couple of chairs. Tv was tiny and a long way from the beds, but watchable (just).
Location was fairly convenient (close to 2 Tube stations) but very crowded.
There were no bedside reading lamps in the room. Also no free Wi-Fi in the room. (There was free Wi-Fi downstairs in the lobby/bar.)
Location, friendliness of staff, room was specious for central London
Given the size of bathroom, I wouldn't design bath but did place shower cabin
Location, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and in satisfactory condition
No real negatives.
I like the stay in this hotel
Room & facilities are not adequate, not homely, staff are not train for proper hospitality.
Very small room, mattress & pillow not comfortable, no AC
Free upgrade to a larger space when my single room was not available. Quiet, comfortable, nice location near Kensington Gardens. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
No wifi in the rooms. Poor directional signs to the rooms that were down a hallway and up a flight of stairs. Breakfast was unorganized and expensive for nothing really special. Also, there were no signs or instructions to breakfast.
The location was great and close to tube stations
Reception staff very unhelpful and didn't seem to know which room we were to go to, check in took just under 10 minutes!! Room was tiny, as was the bathroom. The paint on the skirting was badly marked and wall paper in parts ripped and tatty. The natural light was very poor as there was a scaffolding outside our window preventing light getting in. With no work having been done on it the entire week we were there. This was our 3rd stay here and as we are so disappointed with many aspects, we will not be back!!!
they ask us to drink tap water which we found not safe and the room was so tiny one can't even move in the room
loved the location just around the corner from Kensington Park/Hyde Park. The underground is just minutes away. The Hotel is friendly, offers a great breakfast and though a little tired we found the beds comfortable with nice clean linen and towels.
Heard a few grizzles from other people but we didn't pay for a five star hotel and found this a good 3 star and exceptional value for money. Would stay there again. :)
1.the wi fy internet was not working most of the time. The staff were simply not bothered to know or rectify or take speedy action. 2.the bathroom bathing place had only 4 feet height ,and you have to bend to take a shower. 3.The staff attitude is vey very bad and am sure the Management seem to be not interested to improve. 4.Not priced for the facility provided. 5.I WILL NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN-NOR I WILL INFORM ALL MY FRIENDS AS WELL NOT TO STAY.
cramped room, stuffy, no wifi in the room safe did not work
The beds were good
The over all smell was not good
The location was quite convenient as the hotel was close to various underground stations. On the next block there were also several restaurants, like McDonalds, Burger King, etc.
The room was way too small for even a smallish single person. Breakfast was a total rip-off for GBP10!
needs ashtray on pavement as smokers do it there.
The room smelled damp and the carpet near the window was wet. Reception staff were informed and offered to change the room but this was not possible as I did not have time to pack and vacate before leaving for work
Bathroom was clean
The insects living in the woodwork on skirting boards. The hair on the sheets. Something banging outside the window during the night.
There were hairs in the bed, the room needs redecorating as it is old. Not all the station on the TV worked, and odd smell in the room.
The location. The fact that i can leave this terrible hotel with my back still ok after trying to sleep on the horrible, old and overly soft mattress that obviously hasn't been changed for many years. The fact that this hotel is full most nights shows how desperate people are to have a roof over their heads at night in London. If you can find a hotel for a moderate rate you just take it regardless of the facilities, because the rest of the market is so horribly overpriced. As someone who usually stays in South East Asia, where the hotels are superb and generally value for money, i was shocked with how little in the way of service, room size and comfort a London hotel can get away with. In south east asia this hotel woyld be deemed unfit for commercial usage. I've stayed in simple guest houses for 10 pounds a night that were better quality. The ONLY thing this hovel has going for it is the location, which is indeed very convenient, being very near both Queensway and Bayswater tube stations, therefore giving easy access to the tube network.
Horrible mattress too soft by far. Terrible 3rd world quality internet. Poor to non existent room service. When i needed technical assistance because the power went out in the room, i was told the technician was watching the football. Also new supplies of shower gel that were not replenished after 1 st night failed to be brought to room. I had to go to reception to get them myself. Do yourself a favour and don't bother with this hotel. I can review it in 3 words. Bad, Terrible, Worse. I was so pleased and grateful to be able to leave. Also, the first room they tried to put me in, the fuse box was just under the pillow of the bed can you believe. It kept tripping, and the window wouldn't close...not reasurring considering we were about to be hit by the remnants of a hurricane. The duty manager explained that it was a twin room, converted to a double...normally the fuse box would be inbetween the 2 beds nit under the pillow....wow...what an experience from hell. I did get 2 free vouchers for breakfast however as some compensation, and the duty manager, a pleasant man from Morocco kept apologising. It wasn't his fault, however id love to meet the owners of this slum and force them to spend a night in their own mess of a "hotel".
No Free Wi-Fi in rooms Breakfast is not complimentary for us
Convenient location near Queensway and Waterloo tube station. Easily accessible
Staying at a room on the front entrance side is really noisy at night and in the morning especially we are just on the first floor
the only good thing in the hotel is the location
they have tiny room and no AC in the room also the furniture is old and the bed in not comfortable
