We booked the last 2 rooms both twins. Parents room (103) was fine, looked like it had recently refurbished, comfortable nights sleep and good breakfast, pleasant staff.
Kids ( both in their 20's) had room 113 this room hadn't been refurbished and looked 'tired' and 'dated', work being done to the room opposite 113 made the corridor freezing. The rate of the property is'nt in English so I hope I've selected the right buttons should say fine
The breakfast was the saving grace. The staff were pleasant and the parking is very convenient and does not charge. The room was not expensive but the dislikes cancels the good deal the customer feels they are receiving.
The decor was fair but there is no central heating which is unbelievable in a country with severely cold winters and especially in a new hotel. The room had a useless electric wall heater and no heating of any description in the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I had to deal with a thumping bass from an event nearby or perhaps in the hotel. I was cold all night .
Staff lovely and helpful. Our room felt cold and we were given another heater.
Small restaurant stayed in hotel 2nights and could not be accommodated either night. Middle floor being totally refurbished. There was still noises at night. Top floor colder than ground floor.
The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly enough
The water in the bath room was poor toilet wouldn't flush If the tap or shower was on . For the price you pay as well you would have expected to be able to have room service available
Clean and modern interior and not far from the train station and factory I was visiting
Shower pressure was a bit low but tolerable. Could've done with a heated towel rail.
I liked the rooms as they were very comfortable, the location was great as well, and I would reccommend this hotel to friends and family.
The fact that breakfast didn't come in the price
Location, car parking facilities, helpful staff,& the great breakfast that awaits you in the morning, all made this an enjoyable stay.I have now made a further booking
Room was below ground level ,but this was'nt a great problem.
Staff, we where advised to take the top floor rooms and they where okay to good but could do with a face lift, but they where fine for a one night stay. Food Very Good, car park ground floor Great.
Nothing really, and I would stay again, recommend booking a table in advance as it's very popular.
Friendliness of the staff is second to none, we cant wait to return, comfortable most enjoyable stay.
Not being able to eat dinner in the mondo restaurant on the sunday evening we will know to book in future. There was a notice in the lift to warn us and we will definitely book in future, its the only disappointing thing,we know how brilliant the breakfast is and so wanted to try dinner there,we had also heard it was excellent from a local person that has dined there.
An ideal location for what I wanted to do. The room was basic, but clean and in good condition. The restaurant was handy and the food pretty good. The staff were all nice and friendly.
Heating was minimal; the reception staff were wearing their coats all the time, but the room itself was never actually cold. The walls were pretty thin, so the room was quite noisy at times.
The location, the staff and the feel of the place
Beds were clean Chambermaids were incredibly helpful (yet very embarrassed) when they found us stuck in the second floor with a child in a wheelchair
Lift not working Lack of contact with a manager (3 days still no call!) Dirty bathroom floor Coffee spilt on the walls Paper thin walls - could hear next door having a pee!
Restaurant excellent food
The Mondo Hotel was super comfortable, lovely bedrooms and very friendly staff. Well situated in the centre of Glasgow. Generally exactly what we needed.
Breakfast was included in the price, but it turned out that it only included a standard English breakfast and haggis, potato scone and black pudding were all extra at £2.95, which was a bit of a shame in Scottish hotel - I'd have liked a proper Scottish breakfast.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull
Condition off the room , stains all over the carpet and rather worn looking , I must have got the only room that had not been refurbed.Entrance to hotel felt like the tradesman entrance
Not bad location, easy to get to and ok for 1 night.
1. Meals were bad especially breakfast. 2. Building infrastructure badly needing an overhaul.
My wife asked for bacon, egg and tomato for breakfast the first day and she got 1 slice of bacon an egg and half a tomato. I had the full breakfast. The second day because we had pre paid for breakfast for the two day stay she along with me ordered a full breakfast even although she only ate the bacon egg and tomato. If only she had been given at least two slices of bacon on the first morning there would have been no need for waste----the hotel would of in fact have saved money.
Clean, comfortable and friendly.
Looking from the outside it doesn't look very appealing but best stay with out a doubt in Glasgow area. I must mention the restaurant amazing food cannot fault them excellent staff were very professional and a credit to the hotel and restaurant.
Very noisy (people coming uit of bars in the street). Breakfast was not included.
Shower difficult to set water temp TV switching itself on and very loud at 4 am
Nice clean hotel in the centre of the town very good breakfast in the morning
Wifi was a bit slow at times
Restaurant, very good.
