Score from 150 reviews Fabulous
Extremely helpful and friendly staff
Nothing to dislike
Comfortable beds Soap facilities Nice view of golf course
No breakfast included in overnight stay. Location, if might only be 9 miles outside Bath but with traffic it took us well over 30 mins each way.
nice staff & a very nice hotel
Friendly helpfull staff Quality food Nice location
Bit noisy especially in the bedroom (persistant humming background noise) Didn't affect me but my wife couldn't sleep!
Needed gym to open at 6.30
staff and service all top quality.
The staff were friendly and helpful The rooms were very clean and the beds were huge and very comfortable. Overall a nice hotel in pleasant surroundings.
There was a mix up with my room when I checked in. I got sent upstairs to a room that had someone's things already in it so then went back down to reception and got sent up to another room, this time the room had someone else in it (poor guy). They were quite apologetic and the manager offered me a twin room instead or a delux room for the first night then move to a standard double the 2nd night. Whilst the delux room was nice it was a pain to move rooms again. I felt this was poor compensation for the inconveniece and embarrassment. However, I presume this is not a common occurence. I called for an iron in the morning and it took over 30 minutes and a reminder before it arrived. The hairdryer also stopped working half way through. My friend in another room also experienced this with her hairdryer. If your rate doesn't include breakfast it's £10 for a continental and £14 for cooked so beware!
Comfy beds, gorgeous gardens.
Staff weren't so friendly. Door banged loudly shut.
The hotel looks nice and is clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit away from Bath but is very peaceful
Never book through an agent because it doesn't include breakfast with your stay even tho I paid £360.00 for two rooms. For 4 people it cost us 15 pounds per head for the breakfast and it was of poor standard, there is a cafe around the corner that will give you more on your plate for 12 pounds.
Food, service, cleanliness, staff
Its peaceful setting even when close to a well-used A road.
Maze-like corridors, not always sufficiently signed.
Pleasant location Clean rooms Good breakfast choice
Lack of good toiletries Rather basic rooms Significant noise transfer from corridor Stewed breakfast coffee
Facilities and the determination of staff to meet our needs
Good breakfast in dining room overlooking golf course at back of hotel
No immediate request for payment or authorisation of credit card
Swimming pool small, no ancillaries.
We stayed here for a short break for Yeovilton Air Show and to visit Bath. The staff here were friendly and helpful from start to finish and the hotel is beautiful and clean. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel and the facilities especially the Spa were fantastic and the grounds are well kept.
Room was extremely hot at night and music from a wedding kept us awake til midnight on the Sunday night.
Staff at reception were excellent and catered to our needs.
Food service closed at 9 pm and lack of bar staff whilst attending a function. Seemed to forget their normal paying guests. .
Very friendly staff. Lovely setting with view over golf course for breakfast and a nice garden. Delicious breakfast!
Couldn't order food after 9 on Sunday evening. Beds very noisy - even without any extra exertion!!
Country atmosphere Plenty of parking space
Lack of space in bathroom to lay out toiletries. Distance to walk to bar and restaurant. No walk in facility to pool. No shower mat which is a necessity.
Views over the golf course Comfortable beds Good parking
Noise transfer between rooms Condensation in windows Poor reception
Variety of food in Bar very poor Easy chairs in bedroom stylish but extremely uncomfortable Chairs in lounge uncomfortable Bathrooms very small Soap dispensers in bathroom inaccessable (when you are in the bath no soap available?) When one opens bedroom windows flies etc come into room from over grown creepers on walls outside Golf course trees need pruning Sand in bunkers like Blackpool beach
I like the hotel, room, breakfast, staff. Very peaceful quiet hotel
Receptionist on arrival, location was a bit of a walk to town centre, restaurant menu at dinner was like an a la carte menu not enough choice and way too expensive
The way staff was so helpful and happy.
Lovely hotel well situated for a trip to Clarks Village. We booked a Deluxe Room and was very pleasantly surprised with the large room with modern décor and double shower. Breakfast the next day was very nice and staff were very helpful.
There was a faint smell of smoke in the bathroom when the extractor fan was on but it wasn't noticeable in the main bedroom even though room was non smoking.
