Breakfast was ok and the owner was friendly.
The hotel needs money spending on it which they clearly don't have, they will only turn the heating on is icicles appear on the ceiling. The bathrooms are far too small and the showers are a joke. Everything has been botched to save money and it shows. But as long as people walking through the door nothing will be done, which is plain ignorance.
Warm welcome and an excellent breakfast.
Water could have been a bit hotter. Four tea bags would be better than two.
Breakfast room and breakfast were good.
Old fashion hotel :)
Judy was so helpful, we have a 5 mouth baby and we needed to keep some baby food refrigerated, which they did and nothing was to much trouble
Very friendly staff and lovely breakfasts!
The only thing we didn't like was the shower - it wasn't really powerful or hot enough for us!
Made to feel very welcome. They couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were basic, but comfortable. Shower room was a bit small, but to be expected in an older house. Brilliant breakfasts!!!. Would definitely stay again. Thankyou for a great stay.
it was a lovely friendly family hotel
Nice calm friendly ambience close to beach hotel full character
location, friendly welcome, low price
tiny bathroom, mean breakfast
Far from sea beach
Excellent breakfast and staff lovely and friendly.
Staff Approach Location
Interior a little dated
Duvet too small for bed.... Breakfast dry like eating leather although egg was good. Paid 450 for the week couldnt even bed bothered witby and extra toilet roll last two days.... Although friendly could hardly move in breakfast room chairs too big atmosphere seemed strained
Not enough off road parking, had to use a side street. Hotel very cluttered. Shower very, very small. Bathrooms are no more than cupboard space. Creaky beds. Old patched up carpets. Didn't want to take my shoes off at all. TV picture froze. Guests could be heard entering the hotel and slamming the front door late into the night / early hours with no consideration for other residents. Didn't enjoy my stay at all and won't return. Sorry.
The staff were very helpful
Nothing to complain about. Good basic accomsdation !
The hostess was especially kind and considerate and ensured all needs were met - breakfast highly recommended.
The room we were allotted had at sometime been reduced in size and had a slopping floor of some degree. which meant when lying down that our heads were somewhat lower than our feet. which made sleeping very uncomfortable. This room should be avoided if possible
Great breakfast. Friendly owner who was very willing to help. Good location for train station, beach and shops. Very quiet at night
Hotel owner, Judy, was friendly, flexible and knowledgable of local facilities. Overall all for price paid represented good value for money.
Rooms and hotel itself very dated, felt stuffy and crowded, hallways full of furniture, cots, trouser presses etc.. with no Theme, eg 80s wallpaper/ colours with boarders, bowls of plastic fruit, poor shower, overall very old fashioned ( but for price paid acceptable)
Location and hospitality was good and the food too
The beds were so hard,my daughter had to get in with me and mine was sooo hard, even the pillow...also the cobwebs where we sat for breakfast,my daughter kept putting her hands in them...wasnt very pleasant, especially when I discovered a Huge spider under our table..:/
everything food staff friendly
Hostess Judy, was very welcoming
Décor is very dated, needs dragging into 21st century. Minimal items on tea/coffee tray. Only small bar of soap as wash accessories.
Very accommodating, everything basic but all there, lovely staff.
The shower was not great.
Quiet Excellent breakfast Very friendly staff Liked dogs
Nothing, to name anything would be 'nick-picking'!
The bed wasn't comfortable
