The view from the hotel was very good.the breakfast was good. i didnt like the fact that there were supplements on the evening menu for certain dishes. The meal itself was expensive for what it was. |

Location, views, breakfast. Bedroom (room 21) too warm. I could have opened the window, but this would have wasted energy - it would be better to insulate and heat the hotel properly to achieve the right temperature in the first place. Also, I could hear ventilators/whirring all night and so couldn't sleep properly. My bathroom light was off, so my ventilator was off, but I could hear others. You could look at improving insulation/heating at the same time as you look at improving the noise performance of the hotel. |

Lovely location and wonderful views from bar and dining room, and food generally very good. Local staff very helpful and friendly - I suppose that people from overseas come cheap? Our rooms needed a thorough clean and revamp; tiles missing in bathroom, no chain on plug in bowl, paint chipped on skirting boards and elsewhere, no phone. I gather that work is under way to deal with these problems, which is very good news. |

situated in an ideallic position with excellent balcony views over river. I phoned to say we would be arriving late and the receptionist offered to keep kitchen open for an extra 15mins, nice gesture. A place I have always wanted to stay in and would like to give another chance because a great deal of effort has obviously been put into the inferstructure to good effect and I wish them luck, a few smiles around the place would go a long way to making people feel more welcome. appart from receptionist staff were cold and disinterested. double room was twin room with beds pushed togeather, no cold water in basin, no toilet brush, tv remote didnt work rendering tv useless. Breakfast was mostly reheated and poorly presented - |

The hotel has a unique riverside location, tucked away so it felt like really escaping from the outside world. This feeling hits you straight away as it can only be approached over an old stone bridge over the canal and then along a single track road. Views from the riverside rooms and dining room/bar are very attractive. Staff are also friendly and helpful. |

Location and food. Car park small and not easy to find entrance. However, location of hotel precludes much being done about size of car park. |

Fantastic location with amazing room balcony and restaurant views. The new owners have done, and are doing, an excellent restoration job. The room was too hot, with all the heating off (others had the same experience), and opening the window/French Window to cool down made it difficult to sleep, because of the (otherwise very acceptable) noise from the rapids. |

Balcony view above river and breakfast. Easy access to town Noisy children, not updated on appearance, also not much option for evening meal as my partner did not like th available menu and thought it was to expensive. Could be more facility rather than traveling for spa etc. |
