very friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. very helpful.
A nice blend of Edwardian period and modern design features. This hotel is spotless and has an excellent well stocked bar area, dining room and lounge/library. Owners and Jean Paul were very attentive, knowledgeable of local amenities, extremely friendly and they couldn't do enough for us.
We thought our bed was a little on the soft side but that's obviously personal preferences.
A very warm welcome, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Attention to detail was second to none.
Nothing, couldn't fault it
Beautifully restored Edwardian House. The room we stayed in was tastefully furnished and the bed although very high was very comfortable. Very large bathroom & excellent shower. Dexter, his wife and staff very helpful would definitely stay here again.
Room was at the top of the house so a little dark. Lighting could be better not really good for drying hair/putting on makeup. Breakfast was excellent but would be nice to be offered top ups of toast/tea/coffee. The breakfast was cooked to order but it would be nice to both be served at the same time, I had almost finished mine when my partner got his.
A very tastefully renovated hotel which is immaculate. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the bedrooms and guest social areas are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very smart and classy.
This box asked me to type a minimum of 200 words on things I didn't like, I'm afraid that's very difficult as there's no way I can type 200 words on this subject. If I had to find anything it would be the location as it's a short walk to the nearest restaurants and it's uphill coming back from the beach, but this is really nitpicking to be honest.
I booked this hotel for our Honeymoon and wanted something extra special. The owners Dexter and Otilia Made my wife and I really welcome on our arrival. Also Joao the Concierge was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel has been restored to a very high standard and beautifully decorated throughout. The room we stayed in was of a high standard and nicely decorated. The Breakfast was excellent and they cater for all tastes. Thank you Otilla, Dexter and Joao for making are stay remember able. I would highly recommend you stay at this very friendly and welcoming Hotel. Deb & Steve Stayed July 2014
Dexter and Olivia made us feel very welcome from start to finish. Location was great for us. Bed very comfortable and a really great full English (Dorset) breakfast was served. Room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. What more could you want?
Cant think of anything.
the staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel at home deffinately would come back
Staff were brilliant and we're very helpful in giving advice about directions and what's around town. We found they couldn't do enough for the both of us and a major plus point was the breakfast!
Staying in the room at the top of the building was a bit hott and struggled to sleep but it was the height of summer so bring a fan and you will be ok. Building could be haunted as our shower turned itself on during the night but nothing to be afraid of.
The whole atmosphere was brilliant and the owners certainty made me feel 'at Home'. A wonderful breakfast too!
Good personal service.
Not a thing
The owners and staff were very welcoming and facilities were top notch. First class service, very clean and excellent location.
It was very friendly and helpful staff Very homely feeling very well me breakfast was excellent very good choice
Spotlessly clean. Lovely room. Wonderful walk-in shower. Attentive and helpful staff.
Very overpriced - glorified B&B, certainly not a hotel. No restaurant on site so had to walk for food. Had to ask for treatment info as wasn't in room information pack. No wine by the glass sold in the bar and very limited half-bottles sold. Cooked breakfast was a little oily. No garden to sit in.
very very friendly staff, all member. i would recommend going and will be going again. The location was a slight walk from the town but we had nice weather so was great walk along the sea front. Fantastic.
The owners and duty manager were so lovely and friendly & could not do enough for us during our stay. The building is absolutely stunning and the owners have spent a long time reinstating the original features and restoring it. We will definitely be returning soon!
We have no complaints!
Very clean hotel, rooms of excellent standard.
Large, clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Warm welcome.
Beautiful hotel where everything was impeccably clean and the rooms and bathroom were spacious and bright. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was excellent. Car parking was easy, the location only a 10 minute walk from the beach and close to all amenities. We were a gay couple who were made to feel very welcome which made our stay even more enjoyable.
A top quality accomodation with vey welcoming and attentive owners. Lovely breakfast.
Exceptionally well done restoration of 1909 building! Owners could not do enough for us! Highly recommended.
Ample parking Warm welcome Small number of rooms Well dressed room Spacious Quiet peaceful nights Hearty breakfast
