Friendly efficient staff in family run business. Cosy old-fashioned hotel. Excellent dining room and restaurant open until 10pm. Good Menu. Very good breakfast Nothing

- A relaxing and pleasant place to stay close to the town centre yet located in a quiet road. - Beautifully decored reception rooms and restaurant. - Plentiful private parking spaces at rear of hotel. - Great food, service and facilities. - Friendly staff. - Suitable for business trips, young and older couples. - Family-friendly. - Free internet / wifi. - Also suitable for private functions. - My own preference would have been for a slightly larger double bed but other than that, it was perfect.

Friendly and approachable staff Nice breakfast Good parking facilities Within walking distance to town centre Being kept awake by over enthusiastic couple near by and a very noisy bathroom fan in someone else's room at 6am in the morning.

lovely comfy beds, friendly staff, lovely breakfast room, brilliant breakfast, attentive staff had a large van so parking a pain but if in car that would be fine.

Very comfortable, clean and stylish hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Me and my hubby had very relaxing weekend break there. I think hotel is little bit pricey - rooms, meal price are to high.

The design, the atmosphere. The Hotel was very cosy, friendly and relaxing. Staff was very good.at breakfast bread was not available as stated on the menu.( no soda bread; i had to wait for rolls) The room was very cold at night. Even though i turned the heater to maximum it turned itself off.i had had a shower before i went to bed and was shivering. Took the extra blanket but had to put my feather jacket on top of that.

Good location, very peaceful. Good parking space. Breakfast a huge disappointment. Probably cooked before I ordered it - egg fried to a rubbery, solid state, sausage overcooked on one side, bacon mostly fat. I opened bedroom window for fresh air and was shocked at the filth of the window frame - far more than could accumulate through a winter

The dinner was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend the hotel to any one. Nothing!

The staff were "there" for us but unobtrusive - couldn't have asked for more. The party food was excellent and breakfast just as good. A super venue which suited all ages. My Dad (85) loved sitting in the entrance lobby/lounge to escape the party music and chat to other party members who felt the same! Thank you for upgrading us to the bridal suite (even tho' we are 67 and 68 and married 45 years in June!!) Nothing!

The location which is close to a function venue we use. The breakfast was excellent & the room comfortable & well equipped. There was nothing that I disliked, & I have used the hotel on about 8 visits.

Food The receptionist was pole faced, unhelpful and had an attitude problem. The room was cold although the heating was on. The cost of the stay was taken before we arrived.

Very friendly staff, very comfortable, great location and extremely high quality food, wine, drinks. opportunity to walk to nearby pub or town centre. Single rooms a bit small (good value upgrades available) and some may find the evening meal and drinks expensive. There is a good reason for the latter, i.e. the quality. but there are alternative places very close for less expensive options.

Nothing Room Poor & Heating in room not turned on prior to arrival. Room very small as a double with cold draft coming through the fire escape entrance which formed part of the room. We complained and were changed to a much better room.
