The location was very good, just a walking distance to the University of Cambridge. Everything in the apartment was in good condition; internet, cable tv, refrigerator, washing machine and dish washer, etc. In one word, the apartment is complete.
The only negative I n
Location to cambridge excellent. Bus just down the lane. Good kitchen with a washing machine & dryer, but no instructions unfortunately
Unfortunately no fresh air, only a double bed and very little water from the shower head. Just very difficult to get wet!
A very well appointed apartment, nice spacious and a perfect location with the centre of cambridge only a few minutes walk away. The bedroom is great with plenty of wardrobe space and the liveing room is a nice size with a small study off to one side. check in was easy enough and the owners friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again Bathroom is fine with shower and bath etc (rare to find an aprtment with a bath). Kitchen functional and as I hardly used it that was fine.
Could do with some manuals for the appliances but otherwise no problems at all
Pleasant location and staff; provision of basics for tea/coffee
The overpowering dampness. It was clammy cold and smelled of damp. There is no central heating, which can't help. Drying washed through underwear overnight was impossible. No salt and pepper provided.
A comfortable and clean apartment for three of us,one on the sofa bed.A handy study area off the loungeroom gave us a bit more space for all our luggage for three of us.5-10 mins walk into the centre if Cambridge-very handy. Many pubs close by.We arrived at 1pm and were allowed to check in early, which was very flexible and helpful.Friendly host.Would definitely return
The owners were very helpful.
Nice quiet place
This is a one bedroom apartment and thus has plenty of space for the single traveller (or couple). The place is clean with good facilities including comfortable bed, equipped kitchen, living/dining room, but with a dismal (although adequate temperature) shower. Good, free, parking on site. Ground floor means no stairs to climb which could be important for some.
As a single traveller needing accommodation for only one night the facilities were rather wasted on me - no criticism of the facilities implied. What I would have liked - to fit my meetings schedule - was a late check-out: but this was fixed at 10.30am with apparently little room for negotiation (a stark reminder that this is a private apartment rather than an hotel). The shower is run off a cold water feed into an electric heater on the bathroom wall (a common design in the UK and very economical). The disadvantage is that to maintain adequate temperature to flow rate has to be low - which translates into a dismal shower - especially if you are used to showering with decent water pressure.
Quiet, pleasant apartment conveniently located just outside the historic center.
Kitchen was perfect except the knives were a bit dull.
Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen (including dish washer), good quality furniture. It even had its own office.
Shower was a little limp but perfectly useable.
Location to city centre,
shower needed more power
Perfect for attending a conference at Fitzwilliam College. Easy walk into the city centre. Great facilities especially washer/dryer and dishwasher and substantial refrigerator. Lots of hot water.
lack of information about how to use appliances and which switches in the kitchen. Instructions for the shower would be helpful.
ease of location and free parking
very poor shower
