Beautiful place, would defiantly come again.

Going home

loved coming back from work and having chance to unwind. Lovely facilities, great food and so relaxing.

I was there on business so only accessed facilities from 7am - 7.30am and 6pm onwards

A nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. The food was good provided you did not mind the "health conscious" food. We would certainly stay again if circumstances permit. The grounds were nice. We did not have enough time to enjoy all the facilities.

We were a party of three. The room that my wife and I had was hot and we could not find a way of turning the heat down. The hot water ran cool in both our rooms. Theses niggles would not stop another visit.

I have enjoyed Champneys in both Tring and Henlow. I appreciate the ambience created by the buildings, especially the parlours and conservatories. The organisation of the staff in delivering treatments is to be commended. In Henlow, I felt the location of my bedroom was excellent to reach all facilities, including the fitness suite and pool.

Although the facilities are lovely, I think that Champneys in general is a bit-overpriced, especially as dinner and treatments are usually not included in the room price (with the exception of a few shortened, simpler treatments). The rooms are perfectly adequate and comfortable, but cannot be called luxury rooms.

Champney's Henlow Grange is a place where I have stayed often. The staff are all so helpful and accommodating. They even remember how I take my coffee. Rosina the manager can be found mucking in with her staff and always has a ready smile. She wants to know if all is well and insists on the truth. If you find the beds to hard the housekeeping staff will find you a topper. The food is excellent and the treatments out of this world. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind this is the place look no further.

Alcohol only available with dinner. It'd have been nice if the bar stocked some beers!

Nice tv in the room.

I booked for our wedding night and our room which I had upgraded had twin beds when I requested a double. We were then woken up before 8 by the cleaning staff banging about and talking outside our room. Then we hiked to the restaurant for breakfast and when we finally got seated the staff were too busy clearing tables to explain how the breakfast worked so we left at 9:30. We checked out straightaway and were very disappointed that our wedding night in a "luxury" hotel was awful.

Treatments felt rushed and definitely felt like we were on a conveyor belt. Hotel was not very luxurious at all and the restaurant felt like a canteen so we didn't eat our dinner there but instead went to the local pub and had a fab meal there instead. Just seemed to be a lot of old dears wondering around in their dressing gowns. Definitely not good value for money.

the Thalassotherapy was amazing. The lady who helped us book treatments was brilliant (i think her name was Debbie).

The coffee is awful and in general the breakfast choices weren't great. I need to eat an alkaline based diet and there really wasn't enough choice for me.

Great deal £129 dinner bed breakfast.

The building was looking a bit tired in places. Perhaps some new carpets here and there. The pool area could do with sprucing up, and perhaps the saunas etc could have been for both sexes to share. Dining chairs were very wobbly and many guests tried to swop until we all realised many were the same. Turned up for dinner in dressing gowns, only to be politely told we had to be dressed. Couldn't find anywhere where this was stated. Perhaps because we booked through the internet we didn't receive some info? Still we enjoyed our stay, but would have been disappointed had we paid the full price.

Amazing all over! My friend was very ill when we arrived, but the staff in duty were absolutely brilliant & couldn't assist more in trying to ensure we had everything we needed, as well as popping up to see how she was. This included the lady on reception, Jenny the housekeeper & Zoe from the restaurant. The facilities were up to date, clean & frankly....luxurious (we stayed in a standard twin room). The treatments they offered are vast & varied, and the therapist very helpful & accommodating to meet your every need. The restaurant food was not what I expected - not "rabbit" food! It was varied & tasty & nutritious.

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!

Helpful staff. Low key quiet envionment.

Not many classes to join... Yoga and pilates not on so often. Otherwise lovely few hot days spent mainly outside.

Set in beautiful grounds, not far from London. Lovely indoor pool and steam room

Rooms are looking a bit dated, still using shower curtains, dining area also looking jaded, although there was a new carpet being laid. We were only staying for one night and had hoped to book in some therapies for the evening, but there was nothing available when we tried to book 10 days beforehand. We were also disappointed that on arriving at 5pm we were told that we could only go in for dinner at 8.30pm (very late given clocks had only just gone back!). When we then arrived for dinner we were kept waiting for another 10mins. Dinner was OK, but service not brilliant, in fact staff seemed mainly preoccupied with laying out breakfast tables for the morning. Breakfast was better, although again we were allocated a time slot (either 7.30am or 9am)

Breakfast Buffet - I am sure I would have liked the facilities too but did not have time.

Fellow guest who turned TV on loud at 4am.
