In a tree-lined suburb, this college and conference venue has free Wi-Fi, good breakfasts and free parking, in 2 acres of landscaped gardens. Manchester city centre is 2 miles away.

As it is on the university campus, the hotel benefits from 24 hour security patrols and has the type of guest to match its location. The hotel is well run and set in landscaped grounds within the university. There is also free WiFi in all the hotel bedrooms via an Ethernet cable. I sleep well as it is a safe hotel and have stayed here several times when in Manchester on business.
The hotel could do with a lick of paint, it's the only thing that i can find wrong with this establishment, but will quite happily stay here each time I am in Manchester
friendly and helpful staff. clean room fluffy towels, wonderful breakfast actually all food we had there was amazing, not far from the bus stop they actually had a computer we could use with internet
funky smell throughout halls
This is a clean and functional hotel, within easy reach of the city centre. A good base if you need to be in Manchester at a reasonable price.
The breakfast wasn't particularly appealing but better than nothing.
nice quite location good breakfast
bedding could be cleaner
Electricity kept going off, no water
A nice comfortable hotel with beautiful gardens, the staff were superb and bent over backwards to help when major electrical issues caused a move in hotels in early hours. It was not their fault and they handled the crisis in their stride. Would deff re visit.
Staff -very friendly and helpful Food - wedding dinner was wonderful Gardens - lovely setting
Bedroom way too small Bed uncomfortable Ran out of JD twice!
Good Location Basic room facilities but functional
Poor TV Chanel choice and reception Limited food menu
Breakfast was excellent
Room a little cramped
First time staying at this hotel but would definetely book again. Everybody was very helpful.
Staff were friendly and provided needs promptly
Rooms need modernisation esp. Bathrooms
The hotel was close to a stretch of pubs ideal, Old Trafford was a 10 min drive, everyone in the hotel was nice and helpful
The prices at the bar seemed a bit steep and not much choice at all, asked for a cocktail and the barman replied "I'm not trained to do them"
The location, bar, open lawns, evening meal, breakfast, seating area all excellent
Reception seemed a bit confused and the room was basic and very small, but it was a trial to look for an alternative to the usual business hotels so overall value for money but I wouldn't like to have brought my wife to stay in that standard of room after the website images promised so much more...
location, we were a large family arriving for a family funeral, so location was important. we arrived too late for the restaurant, unfortunately with sever traffic problems our journey took several hours, but eventually a member of staff arranged some takeaway to be delivered for us
breakfast was ok, though several items looked as though they had been sitting for some time, it could have been cooked freshly, and bar prices ridiculously high, £19 plus for 2 glasses of wine and a gin and tonic
Room two small bathroom lack of shelves
Beautiful grounds and well placed for airport. Great shopping opportunities in close proximity. Quiet and peaceful start to our holiday.
Lovely building and grounds, with parking.
It was hot weather and the duvet was too hot. We needed a sheet and blanket. Went down to the lounge for a coffee in the evening, but the machine was out of order. The bar tender tried his best to find another working coffee machine in the hotel, but I ended up with a cup of tepid coffee, spilt in its saucer, after its long journey round the hotel.
- Proximity to the city, while still being quiet and out of the way of traffic - Breakfast was great, especially since it was included in the room price - Plenty of parking spaces - Staff were friendly and helpful - Room was clean, comfortable and well stocked - Free wired internet (although I didn't make use of it) is a welcome addition
Proximity to city centre Lovely bar and garden Lovely breakfast
Room slightly 'tired' looking No ash trays outside on bar tables
Convenient location and lovely grounds. Staff generally helpful.
Rooms rather small. Also, one room not ready for us for almost an hour after check in time.
So near to university
Paper thin walks meant we were listening to the next door snoring all night!!
The Chancellors Hotel is excellent value gor money and it is in a good location.
The staff are very friendly and were very helpful.
The hotel was extremely convenient for the event I was attending and the staff members were flexible about parking after checkout which was helpful.
I thought the "off piste" areas of the hotel needed attention. Doors are badly scuffed for example. In the rooms housekeeping was reasonable, however, there was considerable mildew in the bathroom. This is inexcusable as there are a number of extremely effective products that are are available to remove such unsightly marks. Your bar staff on the night I stayed was pretty clueless. Some customer service input to regular student staffing (which I imagine it was, given the proximity of the halls of residence) might benefit all your customers' experiences.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Nice selection at breakfast.
Really strange smell in corridors. Smelt like mouldy damp. Not at all pleasant. Room was okay. To be honest I have stayed at much cheaper places and had the same standard of room.
TV very bad picture. Poor signage round corridors.
