Cleanliness, bed to firm for my liking.
The location was excellent to where we wanted to visit and also to go to the city centre. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were delicious.
The bar area where we went in the evenings was not warm enough.
Easy reach of public transport, friendly staff
5 star breakfast, very convenient to airport
Everything thing, very comfortable.
Brilliant hotel. Just what we were looking for. Asked for a special request and it was something the company didn't do - but they did this special request for us. Great service and very friendly and helpful
Food in bar and restaurant was simple but cooked well Internet available wired but no wireless in room (so stuck if you have a tablet/i pad)
Small room Small bed Limited TV Only toiletries were attached to wall as hand wash Room hot ++ Fire alarm at 2am on first night - 30 secs but woke everyone - no explanation or apology
Location price with breakfast was good but let down by the room
Small room with single beds uncomfortable old sprung bed décor is plain and cold food was disappointing No Wi-Fi in bedrooms Only 5 TV channels ! Asked for upgrade but none given even though rooms were available.
Good location Good breakfast Affordable price
Very small room Bathroom in need of facelift
I like that fact that there was a bible in the room. It was great to be able to refer to it. It gave great comfort. Thanks
The bed was simply too hard for us and the room smelt a bit musty. It needed airing out some more..It smelt like the previous guest just left. I had a coughing fit during the night as the room was a bit dusty.
location good as we were visiting our daughter at university. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast ,good variety. Comfortable mattress and nice bedlinen although bed too small.
4ft 6 ins bed not really acceptable these days as a double bed. Only 1 pillow per person provided. Bedside table with lamp should be provided on each side of the bed not just 1 side.
the service is good. The breakfast was superb.
the reception ought to know all about guests on the eir system.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. High standard of cleanliness. Breakfast was lovely. Pleasant surroundings. Bed, although slightly smaller than a double, was very comfortable. Overall good value for money.
Room on the small side but now know that we can request a larger one.
The breakfast had a fabulous choice - so much to choose from and the breakfast staff was very attentive. The room had everything we needed, so no extras needed.
It was quite difficult to find the entrance as the postcodes weren't quite exact, so had to ring the accommadation for exact location. The picture of the hotel is not what is looks like in the picture, this must be taken from the garden, so the entrance doesn't look anything like this. There was a nasty number 2 made by the staff working behind the restaurant / bar which was very unappealing after I had just ordered some dinner.... Really put off my dinner that night. The room was very very tiny. Be warned, if you are large or pregnant, I wouldn't stay here.
The bed was excellent, supplied with fresh clean sheets and the duvet warm. The bathroom was clean with ample towels provided. The amenities such as the kettle are good and there is not really anything negative to report regarding the room. Perhaps a little on the small side......
The staff serving breakfast need to be a little more helpful and flexible if one arrives without much time for breakfast. The atmosphere in this large room is not very conducive to starting off the day. It would surely be possible to pass tables offering fresh coffee or tea? In fact, I found the staff to be rather lacking in courtesy and, well, British humour.
Door frames and handles very dirty and sticky. The spa needs a refurb. Dirty showers and hot tub broken!
Very courteous and efficient staff. Room very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast very good.
The lock to the French Window was defective. The wash basin waste pipe was partially blocked. (I was immediately offered another room).
Bedroom was fine for what we needed, breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice, well cooked.
Almost the lot.
Lovely English breakfast, but as cold as continental. Please tell the chef. He will not be happy. Notwithstanding that downside shortfall I will return. Kenneth.
On return to our room from a night out, the door to the was open. The doors where self closing and because I was to be out all night I made sure the door was locked. My wife spoke with the staff immediately but was told this wouldn't happen Again the next morning was told by duty manager that nobody could have got in the room without a key. Nothing was taken but an apology would have been good.
found the double doors hard with loads of bags !!
The room was too hot and s bit cramped.
The receptionist organised a larger room with disabled facilities (at a price). The television was an improved model and had more than the usual four channels.
Chancellors had not bothered to note my request for a larger room as my wife is currently disabled and needs more space. The light in the disabled bathroom was on a timer and went out after four minutes. Dangerous for a lone traveller. I still have to crawl under the desk to fit the cable to use the internet. The whole place needs a good clean plus a fresh coat of paint. It is not a good advert for a university that aspires to be in the world top fifteen.
environment was delightful, staff very friendly, knowledgable about buses etc. and helpful. breakfast excellent, room comfortable and a geat shower.
