Very friendly and accomodating.
Did what we wanted - a comfortable, clean place in a convenient location, friendly owners and a tasty but not excessively huge breakfast.
small things - no hooks/shelves in the small bathroom - everything had to go on the floor. The place is probably due for a bit of a freshen-up, but these are small things and hopefully the proprietors will read this and easily & cheaply put most of them right, so please don't be put off!
Good food and good service.
Shaving mirror light intermittant. Parking was hit and miss, but I still managed to find a place.
Clean, friendly, good value for money
Location was excellent. Friendly and very helpful.
Nothing not too like.
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, we were visiting family nearby so were barely there but it provided a comfortable place for a restful sleep. Good location - short walk into the centre of town, bus and train station
Average water pressure in showers, but this seems fairly standard for older bathrooms in the UK
Couldnt check in till after 4.30pm
Location clean very good beds
Comfortable+ clean and tidy.
tv didn't work.Noisy road.
It was friendly and welcoming, easy to find, it made a difference with having parking facilities, was generally good all round.
Nothing to dislike.
We could walk into town centre for dinner.
Parking is a premium. Upper stories of house are a hard climb for elderly guests.. (Especially when carrying luggage.)
Friendly, clean, close yo where we neded to be.
This is a very clean, friendly place to stay 5min walk from town. Owner very helpful always around but lets you get on with your stay. Enjoyed my 10days would recommend highly.
Very warm and friendly welcome for all four of us. Comfortable, clean room and a terrific cooked breakfast.
Friendly Welcome , comfortable room
not a fault of the hotel but noisy booming music with idiots racing a car down the street at silly AM. after I shut the windows this wasn't an issue apart from being disturbed.
We are a young family with a 3 year old child and we were made to feel extremely welcome throughout our stay. The room was ideal for us all and exceptionally clean with fresh towels every day. We will definitely be returning to the chandos guest house and would recommend it to anyone.
The Chandos is well located for central Folkestone, including v close to the train station. Excellent value for money, v clean, v comfortable beds. Don, the owner, cooked the breakfasts and it was a pleasure to meet him. Would definitely stay thee again.
Friendly staff, sorted out the minor hiccups quickly. Good breakfast

Proprietor very accommodating friendly. Great breakfast, comfortable room just the ticket. Also motorcycle parking easy and safe.
Allgood no complaints would happily stay again.
Not too far from the bus station and shops but Folkestone rather a disappointing place. Would not stay there again.
Smallish bedroom, no drawer space, small wardrobe only. Nowhere to put cases, would have preferred a room without extra beds in already plus one under the bed. Breakfast OK but limited choice. We arrived a bit early and managed to get someone to open the door so that we could leave our cases but couldn't get back in until after 4pm, would prefer a hotel where you can at least sit until your room is ready.
Clean, cheap room. Well placed for an early getaway for the Channel Tunnel
