Clean and Tidy, very comfortable. Facilities great tea making, tv with digital channels and central heating that was on when you woke up. In my case 0600am. Can't fault anything to do with this Hotel. Nothing really but parking could be awkward but i was lucky on both days of my stay as i managed to get parked right outside. I couldn't get through on the telephone or internet after my initial booking which in itself was good as it was booked and recorded straight away.

For £20 for one night stay without breakfast, it was excellent value for money. I had an early ferry to catch at Dover so didn't need breakfast. The owner was very pleasant and we got talking about cars, and the room, while basic, was clean. It even had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was a bit hard and the tv was flashing all the time. I had to turn it round to get off to sleep. The bathroom facilities were shared ,but for £20 that was to be expected

Breakfasts were fine; beds really comfortable. Not much space. Scruffy shower area with ragged bath mat. Holes in the ceiling (water damage from above). We got a parking ticket at 8.30 on Easter Sunday when half parked on double yellow lines (own fault) because there was nowhere to park.

Everything convenient for me - location and ease of access. Staff good. Nice breakfast. Could have done without the snow - but nothing to do with the Chandos !!!

Chandos Guest House offers excellent value for money. For a low price you get: a very clean room, comfortable beds and homey environment, close proximity to the town centre and train station (5 min walk from both). The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. I stayed there the night before a job interview and they let me keep the room the whole of the next morning until the time of my interview, with no extra charge. Then they saved my luggage at the reception till the interview was over and they were supportive on that stressful day. (PS: I got the job so it must be a lucky guest house too!)

5 minute walk to city center. Chandos guest house was lovely, however there was no parking except out of hours. Busy street so very few places to park on the street.

Clean, convenient and good value. The owner can watch a lady struggle up 2 flights of stairs with bags and a case without helping.

I liked everything about it. The hosts were so friendly and kind, helpful and smilingg The house is near to the train station and the centre as well. I really enjoyed the breakfast too. The only thing I didn't like is the internet. But i think it was mostly my laptops fault.
