I liked the window, and small balcony in my room; the tv (although a little small); the wi-fi (although a little weak on the 1st floor); the brightness and view from the upstairs communal shower/toilet room; the closeness to the railway station, and the centre of Folkestone - it's just a massive shame that Folkestone didn't have more vibrancy, beauty, or anything more to offer - sorry. Sorry, but you did ask. I didn't like all the noisy doors; the paper thin floors. The room was small (but that is what I booked, granted), the toilet next door was miniscule, and plumbing needs quietening. The lightshade meant I was blinded when lying on the bed with the light on; and the bulb in the overhead light was blown, and not replaced even though I removed it on early during 3 day stay; shelf over small sink wasn't straight, meaning my electric toothbrush, for instance, often fell over. Biscuits in room could've been nicer please. Breakfast: the cereal containers weren't see-through, and not practical for serving from; I was asked to go to a table which was too close to the back wall; no milk on table initially; the toast was barely hot, and barely toasted; the apple seemed off when I ate it.

It was very reasonably priced. The room was basic but clean and had everything you needed. The staff were friendly and although we had booked two single rooms, we were upgraded to doublerooms with ensuite because they were available, at no extra charge. The full-cooked breakfast was lovely and catered for vegetarians. You get what you pay for so while some things could be improved, they would make the b&b something else rather than low-cost, basic, clean and convenient.

We used Chandross for one night to as a stop over to catch the ferry the following morning. The guest house serves a purpose very well, and has off street parking for around five motorcycles in the front garden. This is allways a concideration for us and we would use again.

Perfect place to stay in Folkestone. Close to the railway station, the town center and the seaside. The room was really nice and clean - as was the entire house. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will certainly book this place again on a next visit! Something I liked very much, but may be a problem for less mobile people: there are stairs and steps everywhere in the house! There is hardly a room at the same level as the next room. It gives the house a very nice labyrinth-like character, but people who have trouble with stairs may want to choose another place to stay.

We only stayed one night, but found the beds very comfortable and had a very nice breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. There was 2 of us and we stayed in the family room.Perfect size for us,but felt it would be a little small for a family. Also did not like the louvre doors to the bathroom,as there was really no privacy.

Nice surrounding area. An easy drive to the chunnel. The kids loved the bunk-beds and breakfast was delightful. The bathroom door was slatted, so it wasn't very good for privacy.

The owner was a really nice Bloke and was so helpful in every matter.Whether it was my request to be served with Lancashire Tea in the morning or any local imformation that was needed he was always there to help.I will be certainly stopping here again in the near future and would definately recommend it to my friends and family. The only downside was that its £3.10 for a pint of Boddingtons in the Pub round the corner and its £1.90 up North!!

I stayed there because I had a very early ferry to take in Dover. so for one night, it is really cool. I had a tv in my room plus a kettle with coffee, sugar, teabags, biscuits and candies, + a cup. The only thing is that there is only one shower to share but is very very very clean and brand-new
