Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff.

Fabulous rooms. Large, beautifully furnished, warm. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Lighting made applying make up difficult, but everything else was superb.

Well presented throughout, great design and thoroughly clean and tidy

The restaurant lacks atmosphere so forget romantic but the food was good and came in large portions. Breakfast was good quality too so my complaint is very mild

We needed to check in early as we were going to a wedding, it was not a problem, fantastic room, very happy with our stay.

Everything! The hotel was fantastic, from service to decor to food. I was totally impressed and have suince been back.

Masses of space in the main bedroom and in the bathroom with incredible wooden beams and a free standing bath, it was really romantic and pretty luxurious but it is an upscale B&B rather than a fully serviced hotel

The rest of the complex has a bit of a golf-y feel, it is the HQ for the golf club so hardly surprising. Food okay but nothing special, could perhaps do better on this score.

Staff untested as no one in reception on arrival. We arrived at 18:00 Likewise we had to wait for staff in the morning to checkout

The fire in the bar area and the food in the restaurant. Good quality and good value for money...The staff are excellent.

The fact that it is hotel policy to re-wash slippers from the previous guests !!!! Not good at all...Dear Hotel owner, spend the money it costs to have new slippers for each arriving guest/S...Or, do not supply them at all..you current policy is not a good one.

Lovely place with character. The litttle touches for e.g. a fridge with a jug of milk. Bathroom slippers and a robe (similar to a spa). Make it a lovely homely place to stay. The food is superb.

How quiet it was

This is the first time I have stayed aty Channels Lodge and did so on the recommendation of a colleague. It is luxurious, set in Idlylic surroundings yet is very reasonably priced and the breakfast was excellent. The room I stayed in was in the Courtyard and had nice touches such as a bath robe and slippers and the minbar was well stocked. I mentioned I would be checking in late and a cold platter was waiting for me (the restauarant was closed).

Luxurious and very high standard conversion with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Staff were excellent too. Lovely environment with golf facilities and beautifully landscaped surroundings.

Liked everything but could have been a little more atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. But good service especially at breakfast and not really a problem. Would definitely stay again (in fact I have already re-booked!

Room was lovely and location excellent.

You could hear the people in the room above us and at 1.30 am a latecomer was having a loud conversation outside our room. management should have sorted this out before she arrived as her key was still on the desk when we went to our room at 11.30. More teabags would have ben appreciated as we had to provide our own;there were four in the welcome pack. Shower and bath gell would have been appreciated in this lovely setting.

The quiet location is perfect. The rooms are first class and beautifully presented. The restaurant has a well priced ample menu and breakfast was lovely. We would definitely come back and recommend it without hesitation.

The design and finish was immaculate. The attention to detail was really amazing. The surroundings and just general ambience made a lovely night! Shame I don't play golf!
