Channings is an exceptionally stylish Georgian building which has been well maintained & tastefully updated. Staff are friendly and very helpful. An hotel with a very personal touch. |

We had a lovely stay at Channings, reception was very friendly and the room was lovely. It was in an ideal location and parking was available just on the road outside. |

The friendly man at reception and the fabulous bathroom. The service and options at breakfast did not really do anything to start our day off right. |

Nice bar, comfortable bed, tea in the lounge was very relaxing. Staff were very polite and welcoming, always happy to help and book taxis etc. Location was a little to far from the centre of Edinburgh and after a days shopping we decided to grab a taxi. Whilst the tea was good, they could promote this more and improve the cheese sandwiches. |

Exceptionally good staff - very helpful and polite. Food was excellent quality and good value. The smoke alarm system was triggered by a shower. There are signs in the bathrooms about this (only in English though) so it must be a frequent occurence. Despite the otherwise excellent stay this could put me off staying again as it is something that should be resolved properly. |

Classy, quiet , within easy reach of airport and centre, with all amenities and very nice staff. A nice bar and restaurant makes up for scarcity of alternatives in the vicinity. Extremely good value for Edinburgh. |
