Excellent location not to far away from city center & shopping centres. Great to chill out after a long day on the toon. Within walking distance from a great bar & restaurant. Will definitely be staying there again.
great location for all the touristy stuff, the Wall, Craster(best kippers in the world),Beamish, shopping at the Metro,Tynemouth Abbey the lot. this is the 2nd time we've stayed here and will go back again next year.
not a lot really, duvet was a bit too warm on a pleasant autumn night,
Warm welcome and secluded location. Comfortable beds and linen.
Somewhat limited crockery and glassware
Excellent little apartment very clean and modern was very impressed 10/10
Old out dated TV but that didn't really bother us
Location great for tourists happy to drive 15 to 30 minutes to the wonderful sights at Durham, Hadrian's Wall and Newcastle. It's worth it. Lovely rural peace. Nice accommodation. Friendly hosts. Right next to wonderful industrial and railway history.
The hosts should check that previous guests have left the pots and pans really clean.
Fabulous place. Everything!
A very spacious apartment. Extremely large bedroom and living area. Fully equipped kitchen. Décor was a little dated but not unpleasant. Extremely courteous owners. Its location overlooking a field was breathtaking in the early mornings. Very close to Tanfield Railway Museum, Causey Arch and the Beamish Museum.
Steps up into the shower
great location for various attractions in county durham and northumberland. well deigned room with everything needed for a long weekend break in a peaceful setting.
could be better signposted as the approoach road is little more than a farm track.
Beds were very comfortable.
Not very well equipped: only 2 of everything for cutlery and crockery meant we had to wash everything up after each meal, which didn't suit the holiday mood, and visitors had to bring their own. Some of the cutlery was dirty when we arrived. The cooker was inadequate.
Good location and very quiet.
Difficult to find
We prefer self catering and we chose the location. It was advertised as stable block. it is converted garages , with three rooms. the bedroom was roomy the living room a bit cramped and the bathroom adequate. We were expecting a more substantial possibly historic building which had been converted. the experience was that it was just OK. .
we did use the oven as the roasting pan was greasy and the grill still unwashed from last time. the fridge door caught the cupboard it was in every time it was opened there is no wifi in the apartment though this was advertised. in order to get online we had to go and sit on the picnic table up the hill near the other apartments in the converted chapel building. The pedal on the bin was broken so one had to lift the lid to use the bin-not hygienic.
The landlord was very nice and helpful, the apartment was clean and spacious, it was in a lovely countryside location yet not too far from a shopping centre, if I came again I would book here x
