Very good,
Score from 14 reviews
“ These appartments were really were ideal for our stay to visit our Grandaughters, they were very clean and had everything we needed for our weekend away. The location was perfect being just a couple of miles from Stanley and short walk in the evening to the local pub for well deserved drink. ”

These family-run studio apartments overlook peaceful farmland, a 20 minute drive from Newcastle. A luxury separate stable conversion offers guests a kitchenette, private garden, separate entrance and free private parking. Chapel House’s stable apartment is in its own courtyard and retains many of the original characteristics of the original stable, with plenty of rustic wood and brick visible. Guests in the stable have an open lounge/dining area, and a private bathroom with shower, with bed linens and towels all provided. A private garden has a barbecue for the warmer months. Each studio apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen allowing self-catering, a dining area and a bathroom with shower. Convenience to see family & the fact that it was warm & secure. It was not very clean. Had to wash every item of crockery before use, the microwave, kettle, stove, work surfaces etc can't have been cleaned after the last occupants. The wardrobes were very dusty & the inside of the drawers dirty - so much so that no clothes were put inside. The bedside cabinets also needed a wipe & it doesn't look like the beds have been moved for hoovering under for a long time. The shower was plain scary - the lights dimmed when it was used. Also the expel air in the bathroom is very grotty, & there really should be a curtain up at the window!!! We did mention all this to the owner & he said he would take note. We will go again as is useful location, but if not cleaned we won't be staying.

Friendly communication - they took the trouble to check about my request for somewhere quiet and suggest the stable apartment, which was wonderfully peaceful. Provided an excellent base for exploring Beamish and the surrounding area

Was comfortable. Own parking. Quiet. Was booked as dog friendly. Was told can not leave our small dog in room if we were not there. No problem for us but might be for others. Nothing on website about this. Would be nice to have tea and coffe already there. Even just small packets like in hotels. After a long journey last thing you need is to go looking for shops.

The apartment was well equipped and modern and clean. Staff were there to meet us and we were left to enjoy our visit. It would be a good place for small family and the location was super.

These apartments are great. Really good use of space which meant they had everything you need without being crammed in. Owners were very friendly and gave excellent directions.

The bed was comfortable, and for the price paid could not really complain. Good use of the space. Location was lovely. The kitchen area could have been thought out better, and the cooker needed updating. If in during the day the heating was timed to come on at 4.30 so could be a little chilly until then, once on it was lovely and warm.

That you were left to your own devices and had privacy, also we were provided with a number of appliances which made self catering easier. Although clean there were a number of flies & bugs around the doors and windows, also the doorway which has been blocked in the room meant we could hear at times (not much though) a baby crying next door. The towels provided were clean but there were stains on them.
