Staff were very attentive
We thought it to be on the expensive side . The dining room was a little uncomfortable and the breakfast although plentiful was a little over cooked
The staff were very polite and the service was very good
Comfort, friendly staff and proximity to walking in hills
Always know what to expect. consistently good!
Nothing to dislike
My is allergic to gluten. The staff knew and made were very helpful in ensuring her menu choices were clear.
Helpful, friendly staff. Room was large and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.
My bathroom was cold and the shower failed to get hot or run out of the holes. The bar area was small and didn't have comfortable seating. Minimum parking. Cars were allowed in the market square spaces except for Fridays.
It's position in the town was perfect. The staff helpful and polite. The room was the right size for a single person. The breakfast selection was good and well cooked. Shame that I didn't taste food from the restaurant.
Room 11 could use some TLC and better shower.
Great food.. Nice room. Welcoming staff.
Complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates were a lovely touch.
The single room (no. 6, I think) was miniature. The shower not particularly powerful. The breakfast (smoked haddock) was OK but not particularly generous-sized. Staff OK but inclined to be unctuous.
Town centre position.
Friendly staff. Good vaue for cost
Breakfast was rather ordinary which was a bit of a surprise when the other food was so good.
We chose to stay here because we have friends and family in the area. It is a lovely older style hotel, not modern but lots of charm and we had avery nice large room. It also has anexcellant restaurant and Stokesley is a charming old market town and a good base for touring the area and there is free parking in front of the hotel in the square.
Loved our first stay at Chapters hotel. We visit stokesely a lot due to my girlfriends family staying there and the surrounding area and this was the first time we have stayed in the hotel, rather than with them. Hotel staff could not have been more friendly, they stayed on late to allow for us to check in late on Friday evening due to us travelling from Edinburgh. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and our room was huge with a lovely view out over the high street. Even though we were right above the bar/restaurent and on the main street we never heard a peep and had a great sleep in a very comforatble bed. We were even served our breakfast in th room the following morning, even though they were short staffed the Chef actually brought it up to us in our room to allow us to have breakfast in bed. All made for an excellent stay and we will defintely be back again soon.
Rooms on the main street are a bit noisy.
Good rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
uneven floor no lift (that we found)
clean tidy service
Nothing to dislike!
The food, the room, the central locality.... everything!
We had an executive room, room was great but as it was front of the hotel it was quite noisy. However this wouldn't stop us returning.
The staff could not do enough for us even made sure my partner had a bacon buttie for an early start.
The corridors when you move about smell a bit fusty, like they need a new carpet.
I loved the Moulton Brown products, they were the nices I have ever had, lovely bubble bath, plenty of hot water. Nice clean towels and bedding
Room a bit small.
Comfortable clean hotel with tastefully decorated rooms. Very helpful staff.
Room and breakfast comfortable and delicious. Excellent hosts for staff and informative and helpful. Let us checkin early as we had a wedding to go to at Grwat Ayton. Thank you
We were here for a wedding, absolutely perfect! Staff amazingly helpful
breakfast finished at 9am, we were on a long weekend so had a lie in and missed it!
my hubby worked on the extension to this hotel as a young lad of 17 ,back in 1973, we told the reception staff about it and they said to take a good look all around , even up in attic. lovely staff.
Staff WiFi Parking
We went to Chapters having reviews of their food and were not disappointed. Service was very good.Would definitely stay again.
It feels tired. Cooking/damp smell in the stairwell. Dried up croissants for breakfast.
Glorious Joe Cornish photographs, and convenient location for family in Stokesley
