“The hotel was beatifull in a beautiful location. The gardens, hanging baskets and outside spaces were delightful. It would be dificult to better the views. The bedrooms were large and well appointed. The public rooms were very comfortable. The spa area, although not used, looked very well presented.”

Hotel very impressive, we had a deluxe room which was very nice, very clean, really enjoyed the experience. The hotel was full of charm and originality, the staff were very good, pity about the evening menu. Didn't dine with the hotel, very expensive, didn't like the 2 meal or 3 meal deals, prefer a traditional menu. We did have a glass of champagne which was very expensive £9.95 per glass and was served not exactly chilled, wasn't the best either so decided not to have another.

Very good hotel with comfort and period-style. Relaxing atmosphere and lots of smaller rooms to relax in. Great wine selection and great advice from the staff on what to choose and why. Poor restaurant front of house from one (taller) individual who had a strange way of making one feel like clients were an inconvenience, but the rest of the staff were pleasant and enthusiastic. Limited menu for such an impressive and pricey hotel.

Lovely location just outside Chipping Campden. Staff were very good and our room had a gorgeous view with the bonus of knowing T.S. Eliot had stayed there. Log fire was very relaxing as was the warm swimming pool and the lovely bathroom with views to equal the bedroom. Nice robes and complimentary quality magazines for art/food/wine lovers. Overall, the ambience of the hotel echoed the still, timelessness of the Cotswolds. The driveway was very uneven and the night porter (if it was him or a nightly spirit !) woke us a few times around 3pm with creaking footsteps which seemed to hover outside our door.....

The area and building was fabulous. The evening meal was lovely and the staff serving were great. It was nice to have various drawing rooms to retire to and enjoy a drink and relax in the evening. The pool was lovely and well kept. The room we had (Warwick) was a lovely room although things in bathroom did not work properly eg: mirror light and radiator. The staff serving breakfast seemed to cover various tables so we would have more than one person looking after us, so they did not know if you had ordered your toast or your cooked breakfast. Both mornings the buffet area ran out of pastries.

We loved the food and the friendly service. We both take advantage of the Spa when we come, and that was much appreciated after Christmas! The setting of the hotel is truly beautiful and we enjoyed some good walks during our stay. Although we have not been for three years, we were not disappointed, and thought the food had improved. It was not made clear in the online booking, that dinner was not included in the price. We did not find that out until after dinner. On previous visits dinner was included. We felt it was quite expensive, not to include food, although we would have expected to pay for our choice of wine, obviously. Again, not a big problem, but we thought we would not book through the online booking service again, but phone direct, as we would be clear about what was included, and if there were any 'deals' being offered. We noticed there was no complimentary sherry in the room, which was a bit of a disappointment, as we had enjoyed that 'welcome' before. Also after dinner there were no petit foures served with coffee, which, again, we had always had in the past.

Charingworth Manor provides a very relaxing atmosphere. We were there over Christmas and the atmosphere was warm but unobtrusive, which was exactly what we wanted. The hotel is in a quiet location with extensive grounds, beautiful views and good walking all around. We made use of the tennis court and swimming pool, which were both fine. The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant and at reception very friendly and efficient. The lounge areas are a little too small

Staff were very friendly and helpful Our room (Warick) was very comfortable and spacious facilities were good especially the gym good location but the post code sends the sat nav to the back of the site food was good The bar area was a bit small - the 3 sofas are too big for the area On one occaison our room didn't get serviced but this was quickly resolved The 3 separate seating areas did appear to lead to confusion - we witnised a group of 4 not getting served in good time should use more local produce on the menu especially local sauseges and black pudding for breakfast

The staff were very welcoming. I was given an upgrade on arrival. I got taxi's organised for me. I was made feel safe and comfortable as a solo female traveller by all the staff. The food was great. The grounds were lovely. The pool was heated. All around a lovely experience. I would like to return. The sauna need a bit of attention.

My wife and I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Charingworth Manor. The room was very comfortable and very well appointed with plenty of space and storage. The staff were excellent in all departments and very helpful andpolite when required. The location of the Manor gives perfect access to many surrounding villages and towns which are renowned for their beauty and history. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Charingworth Manor.

The public rooms were very comfortable. The spa area, although not used, looked very well presented. The staff were not as attentive as you would expect in a hotel of this calibar and at times down right grumpy. Greater attention to dusting in the bedrooms was also required; the lamp stands, telephone etc. were very dusty. There was no light bulb in our bathroom mirror light, again something you would not expect in a hotel of this calibar.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with Charingworth, and we would happily return there on another occasion. The facilities are excellent, and we found the staff invariably helpful and good humoured. We were sorry when our week came to an end. The setting is of course exceptional, both in the country and in proximity to the fascinating town of Chipping Campden. We enjoyed long walks and learnt a lot about the influence of the Arts and rafts movement on the town. We are veryt grateful to everyone at Charingworth for enhancing our holiday.

The setting was what one would imagine of the lovely English countryside. Quiet, green, secluded; a beautiful manor house out of an old English novel, with rooms updated and decorated with restraint and luxury. The beds were so comfortable, and it was a great surprise to find that the cream tea and dinner were up to gourmet standards. Staff were kind, gardens were lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, albeit too short. Also a great jumping off point to see Stratford-Upon-Avon and Chipping Campdon (yes, a real place and not invented by P. G. Wodehouse). Check out at 11 A.M. was a push.

The friendly staff, very good food and the comfort of being able to eat in house, plus the lovely setting. We also enjoyed having a choice of rooms to either enjoy a pre-dinner drink, have after dinner coffee or just relax in. I felt it would have worked better if the dining room opened out on to the front with a terrace. One could then enjoy the view of the gardens and surrounding countryside. I didn't like our room as I kept bumping my head on the beams.
