The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice. Lovely cooked breakfast was a suprise as was expecting a continental breakfast. Our room was under the stairs so quite noisy each time someone used the stairs. No mirror in the bathroom. No latch on the bathroom door. I possibly would use Charlie's again but may not recommend to a friend as I thought that it was slightly over priced for what you got.

The only thing I liked about the Hotel was the fact that it was in close proximity to where I was visiting, which saved me a lot of travelling the following morning. The room was nothing like the room that was advertised on the web site, I booked a double room, however, ended up in a room downstairs which was small with a small double bed cramped into the corner. The bed divan was filthy and looked as if it had been picked of a skip. The advertised en-suite shower was tiny, I had trouble moving my arms to wash properly due to the compactness of the shower. Lighting was poor and overall it was cramped, the toilet seat was loose and the sink again was so small I had trouble getting my toothbrush under the tap to rinse it off. I would have expected a kettle in the room with some facility for making a cup of tea/coffee, however, this was not available.

Hotel was lovely and quiet, tube near by, bed was convertible. excellent private parking for my car in an enclosed yard. Booked because others said nice breakfast. Sorry no ware near what I call an English breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, beans .and toast. We where put in downstairs room . room itself ok for price, but shower and toilet to small and hole floor got wet and dangerous after shower. Shower would go to hot if someone else used cold water. Worst toilet room I have ever been in.

Ideal location in quiet street. Off road parking is a real bonus. This is a budget b&b and you get what you pay for. We had booked the last room for a couple which was a twin room. The room was a single with a second bed....you couldnt open the wardrobe door as one of the bads was stopping this....no tea or coffee facilities, and very very small shower toilet area. Breakfast was full English? Egg bacon and beans lol. The staff were very pleasant and for London prices it was ok.....if you are booking just be aware this is budget.

Excellent value for money. It states continental breakfast but a cooked breakfast was on the menu and cooked well. Room very basic but if you wanted more you would pay more. Definietly stay there again, Only one electrical socket worked in the room but on the hotels defence i did not tell them about it as it did not impact on our stay.

+) about 10min walk to Tube Station "Tufnell Park" +) breakfast was made freshly for everyone +) people working there were really friendly +) received own key for house: could come at any time +) flexible check-in time -) rooms were so tiny, couldn't even open both suitcases at the same time without distracting the bathroom "door" -) no proper door for bathroom -) bathroom is badly isolated and it's freezing cold and wet in there (fan didn't help) -) bin wasn't emptied every day (although it was full) -) only one socket in the whole room (which was for the tv)

Cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly, room was clean, breakfast was good. Located in a quieter area of London, but tube st. was close - what more could you ask for.

It's a small b&b and it should be treated as such. It ain't luxury but if you're on a budget, it's excellent. It's close to the city centre, plenty of shops and take-aways around, the neighbourhood is quite nice and you get a nice breakfast in the morning with all the orange juice you can possibly want to drink. After having problems with the shower, we found out that hot/cold are swapped.

Nice quiet location, very convenient for the purpose of my visit which was to attend a family Christmas party. Staff friendly, nice breakfast. Very straightforward checking in and out, dealing with key etc. Some need for refurbishment of room. Our breakfast was somewhat spoilt by having to listen to a row between a disgruntled guest asking for a refund because his shower did not work and the manager. Quite entertaining in a way but not really what you want first thing in the morning.

Quiet area within walking distance of Kentish Town. Friendly staff. Bathroom was in a poor state of repair and you could hardly move once in there. Shower barely worked, was either hot or cold and the water dripped out...Also, extreme noise from floor above (possibly a kitchen) at around breakfast time.

It was located close to a subway station and a music venue. The English Breakfast is very good. The room was over-priced and quite shabby.

We received a very warm welcome on the afternoon we arrived and were offered complimentary tea and croissant, which was an unexpected bonus. The staff really made us feel at home. It is a budget hotel, in a convenient and quiet residential location. The walls are thin so you can hear floorboards creaking and doors being closed by other guests, but we knew this before we went and felt that it offered excellent value for money. Some of our party found the curtains too thin to cut out the street lights.

The lady who manages Charlies is charming along with her 2 helpers!!!There is a mature gentle greek man who stands in to give her a bit of time off who is equally charming and loves a chat, the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and is being rewired atm.We would go back due to the lovely staff and very good breakfast. The hotel is adequate and not expencive but it does need money spent on it on every level indeed!!!

We just needed somewhere cheap to stay after going to a gig at the HMV Forum. This was a 15 minute walk away from the venue so it was ideal.

Breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable.Nice quiet area close to all attractions by underground. 5 mins walk from Tufnell Park station. Rooms very cheap so if you don't mind basic accommodation at a very affordable price then I would recommend this hotel to you. No curtains up at window which directly faced my bed. Tiny shower room/toilet, no other issues.

the architecture and the design of the room if the hotel can prepare some different plugs in different type for international visitors would be very good. I come from Holland, and the plugs are different, so in the hotel I cannot charge my laptop and mobile

Buon viaggio a tutti!
