Quiet street, good breakfast and acceptable wi-fi speed Freezing cold rooms even when heater was on full blast. Had to wait approx. 90 seconds before the shower had the correct heat (and not boiling hot...)

The hotel is very convenient for tubes and buses into the centre of London, and is in a quiet situation, with very little traffic noise. The room was small but adequate and the en-suite shower and toilet were efficient and clean. We were given a good English breakfast on each of the three days we stayed. Our room was very small, and the bathroom tiny. The carpet behind the bed could have done with vacuuming, but it was otherwise clean.

I found that the staff only seemed to be friendly whenever you were paying, the service was not that great. The room was small and cold, did not look like the pictures. Many of the fixtures were broken. The bed was uncomfortable. I think that the value did not reflect the place and that it should have been cheaper!!!

It's a small b&b and it should be treated as such. It ain't luxury but if you're on a budget, it's excellent. It's close to the city centre, plenty of shops and take-aways around, the neighbourhood is quite nice and you get a nice breakfast in the morning with all the orange juice you can possibly want to drink. After having problems with the shower, we found out that hot/cold are swapped.

Nice quiet location, very convenient for the purpose of my visit which was to attend a family Christmas party. Staff friendly, nice breakfast. Very straightforward checking in and out, dealing with key etc. Some need for refurbishment of room. Our breakfast was somewhat spoilt by having to listen to a row between a disgruntled guest asking for a refund because his shower did not work and the manager. Quite entertaining in a way but not really what you want first thing in the morning.

Quiet area within walking distance of Kentish Town. Friendly staff. Bathroom was in a poor state of repair and you could hardly move once in there. Shower barely worked, was either hot or cold and the water dripped out...Also, extreme noise from floor above (possibly a kitchen) at around breakfast time.

It was located close to a subway station and a music venue. The English Breakfast is very good. The room was over-priced and quite shabby.

We received a very warm welcome on the afternoon we arrived and were offered complimentary tea and croissant, which was an unexpected bonus. The staff really made us feel at home. It is a budget hotel, in a convenient and quiet residential location. The walls are thin so you can hear floorboards creaking and doors being closed by other guests, but we knew this before we went and felt that it offered excellent value for money. Some of our party found the curtains too thin to cut out the street lights.

Room was too small and bathroom minute, facilities sparse - too expensive for what was offered, the only redeeming feature was the availability of parking.

The lady who manages Charlies is charming along with her 2 helpers!!!There is a mature gentle greek man who stands in to give her a bit of time off who is equally charming and loves a chat, the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and is being rewired atm.We would go back due to the lovely staff and very good breakfast. The hotel is adequate and not expencive but it does need money spent on it on every level indeed!!!

It was close to family and friends homes and withon walking distance ofthe Tube. The house was scuffy and our room smelt of cats. The shower was full of mold and it was very dirty. There were no tea and cofffe making facilities. For a few more pounds we could have stayed in a nice chain of hotels. I wouldn't stay here again.

Ochotný a milý personál.

We just needed somewhere cheap to stay after going to a gig at the HMV Forum. This was a 15 minute walk away from the venue so it was ideal.

Safe, private car park. Clean, comfortable bed. Generous breakfast. Front door key. Tea/coffee readily provided when asked. En suite with excellent shower. Fine for 'just somewhere to sleep'. No tea/coffee facilty in room. No tv in room. These were expected, as described but could not be provided at our request. Also, no plug for the wash-basin and again, could not be provided. No mirror in bathroom. Inadequate handrail on lower staircase. Constant drilling outside our room during the day, when some work was being done. Tools and equipment in various areas gave the impression of 'a work in progress' .Perhaps they should have closed during reburbishment?

Breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable.Nice quiet area close to all attractions by underground. 5 mins walk from Tufnell Park station. Rooms very cheap so if you don't mind basic accommodation at a very affordable price then I would recommend this hotel to you. No curtains up at window which directly faced my bed. Tiny shower room/toilet, no other issues.

the architecture and the design of the room if the hotel can prepare some different plugs in different type for international visitors would be very good. I come from Holland, and the plugs are different, so in the hotel I cannot charge my laptop and mobile

Close to Tufnell Park Ceiling leaked, no door closers (doors banging 24 hours a day), bathroom requires update (no shower door, no light, fan broken), two single beds in the "triple room" with no way to put the beds together to make a double bed

Good a reasonable price in a neat and clean area. Friendly environment with a five minutes walk to the closest subwaystation.Clean sheets with comfortaable beds. Good breakfast that leaves your stomach full and happy. Another positive thing was that you got keys for entering 24 hours, without disturbing the staff ringing the bell. WIFI-connection for free included with the price. Sometimes a little bit rude staff. No possibility to keep a safety box. Small bathrooms with an even more tiny wash handbasin. No lamps next to the beds, only rooflight.

The welcome was lovely and polite. The room was freshly painted. It's not a modern hotel but as long as it's clean i don't mind. I stayed in room 14 and the ceiling leaked onto my daughters bed. We had to top and tail in my bed and only got about 3 hours sleep. I couldnt let the owner know at the time because we left at 5am, I telephoned the hotel when I got back - there was no offer of another free night or compensation.
