Charlotte House Hotel

The helpful and friendly staff who made me feel very welcome and took time to explain how to get to shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and well designed. Easy to get to by car and well located for the sights.

The dispenser for hot and cold water in the room - I didn't like the taste and it wasn't hot enough for tea/coffee.

location perfect, staff had to be the most friendly and polite we have ever encountered. nothing was too much trouble. perfect for our celebration weekend. Had the 2 room apartment, lovely.

it's not i didn't like, but being small i did have a bit off trouble getting onto the huge four poster beds, maybe a step could be provided for those who needed it.( having said that we they may, we didn't ask)

Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom,the shower etc a real piece of luxury. The room was wonderful with good furniture,very comfy

Getting into the grounds was a slight issue due to a race village set up for the linclon 10k

How can this be a 5* Hotel!!!! There were a bare minimum of staff, I was served breakfast by the same lady who checked me in. The bar was unmaned and reqiured a walk to the front of the Hotel to order a drink!!! The restaurant was closed!!! 5 Stars should require a minimum of facitities to be offered. Very decieving, and no better than a B&B.

I was booked into the Charlotte House but did it in a bit of a rush and booked a double, when I actually wanted a twin, they quickly and efficiently got me a room at the sister hotel, the bail house, which is where I actually stayed so the above review relates to the bail house.

A very warm and friendly welcome followed by a free upgrade.

The local refuse collection at 4.30am making a ridiculous amount of unnecessary noise which sounded like it was right next to my pillow.

Suprb location, beautiful building, faultless service, excellent comfort. Lincoln is an amazing little city, second to non for historical interest but also got super modern facilities if you want them.

There was a function on, music did go on later than we were told, and noisy revellers leaving, but hardly hotels fault !

went to charlotte house hotel with my girlfriend, we had the deluxe suite and it was fantastic like a luxury apartment

tv in lounge only had radio but is only a minor thing considering it had another tv and its location etc

Extremely welcoming and helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities.

No 24 hour reception. The nested bedside tables with small tops and long unstable legs were impractical.

The staff were extremely helpful, the receptionist on the Saturday went out of her way to book us a meal at a local restaurant. The rooms are large and we were impressed by the separate lounge and walk in dress room. Overall a very enjoyable stay and excellent value for money.

The beds were a little hard in our opinion.

Very helpful and welcomiing staff to meet and greet explained hotels facilities etc. Suite well presented, warm and comfortable with lots of extras. Good location for town situated opposite castle and lots of lovely resturants close by.

Warm bathroom with heated mirror that didn't steam up. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Helpful friendly staff. Quiet even at the height of the Christmas Market

Excellent breakfast

Used Lincoln Christmas Market as an excuse. Put up rate to a level that is more like a London rate without the service, hadn't got parking properly organised, instructions for arrival were inadequate, refused to get us a morning paper even though shop was within site of the hotel. If they want to charge £260+ for a room for a night they need to sharpen up and give some service to go with it. E.G. When we arrive at the promised time early, 08.00 and ask for breakfast I want to hear, no problem sir, not, I'll see if we have any space for you!!

Decor slightly institutional for a hotel claiming to be boutique; bed too big for room; no restaurant service in the evenings.

if I had to find any fault I would say that the dining room could do with a makeover, such a lovely room that more could be done with but I am being picky!
