Central location, friendly staff, excellent room, liked that the
building has a slightly quirky style so not a soulless, same-as-every-other-
one type of hotel

The room was comfortable and the hotel perfectly located.

Waiting an hour to be recieve breakfast was disappointing. One would expect to have ironing and coffee making facilites in the room although when requested arrived promptly.

We stayed at the charlotte on th 9/08/08 Our room was beautifull
and immaculate the bathrooms furniture and televisions radios all
top of the range

No wouldnt change a thing anyone wanting to stay at a good hotel in the
area should try the charlotte dont want to tell to many how good it is
as we want to go back very soon this time taking the family

The location,the room was clean the coffee was ok, so was the egg and
bacon thats all

This is not a 5 star hotel.The staff were friendly but ill trained,its
an old hospital,looks like one, feels like one and smells like one,all
sat on one table for b/fast.lounge doubles up as dining room our
experience was not as the impression it gives on its website
unfortunatly

Excellent Hotel in an excellent location in the "old town". Easy access to everything.

There didn't seem to be a lift, but as the hotel is a converted nurses' home and a listed building, this is understandable.

The room was lovely and bright, clean and airy.

The rainmaker shower was not working properly and the bath was not as big as expected. The 'freestanding mirror' crashed on top of my head when i sat at the vanity table. The room service did not serve food - only drinks

Overall an excellent stay, warm welcome and quality facilities

the fire alarm had a fault that went off at 03:24. not very impressive

Very clean, spacious and comfortable, in a great location. The
facilities and food were superb; the staff were exceptionally friendly
and efficient. Sorry we couldn't stay longer!

No complaints, but a few minor suggestions: provide bedside tables on
both sides of the bed; a coffee table would be handy in the sitting
room to put trays or food on; put couple of hooks on doors to hang
jackets on.

Failure of hotel to advise us of noisy party to take place which went on till 3.00 am which spoilt our stay. Possibly problem caused by booking on line which prevented being advised of party in advance although we should have been advised when booking in which would have enabled us to arrange other accomdation., Manager took action to mollify us.
