Rooms were nicely decorated But were extremely small.
access to the reception was difficult although did fix problem when finally contacted no lights in bathroom and heater not on
Liked the security doors and the cleanliness of the place and i noticed cameras in all hallways so feeling secure wasnt a problem.tv room was big and spacious
shared toilet but i knew about that before i went so it shouldnt really count
It was clean and tidy and the wifi worked well
The bed was the worst I have ever slept on and there was no chair and no hangers in the wardrobe and I hit my head on the roof
The house and access were really good. Very clean and well decorated. Easy enough to get to town and back. I'd visit again
Just a few mishaps with no towels and pillow cases.
The rooms were a great size and there was plenty of room for everyone, the living room was great. Wifi was brilliant. We met a group of other people staying in the house, atmosphere was brilliant!
Late check in, early check out. Wanting £10ph for any changes to check in and out times, bit expensive! Didn't meet any member of staff until we were leaving in the morning but we weren't aware she was staff.
Good, helpful and comfortable. This is my first time staying at a guest house in UK. I thought that one guest house is for one family but unfortunately it is sharing with others. Because of the uncomfortable situation, the guest house management willing to give us other guest house just for our family. It is a quiet place and we have a good one night stayed there.
Quite far from the city of Manchester.
Lightening in the rooms were too low to do any work.
Bedroom and living room space
As above, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The place is good value for money.
That the living room/kitchen/bathroom will be shared with others, this wasn't very clear when booking.
Me and my friend came to Manchester for a night out and stayed at charnley mews guest house, we usually stay in hotels but thought it would be a nice change. We were greeted by a lovely gentlemen who offered to carry our bags to our room, when we got to the room it was very stylish and clean which was great for the cost as we paid a low price and the décor was lovely. All round it was a good stay.
My second time staying at charnley mews. I enjoyed my time here again the staff are always happy to help. Clean, comfortable and lovely little place.
I stayed at charnley mews guest house for a business trip for one night. The guest house provided everything I was looking for throughout my stay, it was clean, lovely décor, great customer service and wifi. The price was also reasonably cheap for the high standard. I will stay again on my return.
usually book in the centre but seems expensive, came across Charnley Mews, and the reviews were good and loved the look of the place on the photos, we were very happy to find that what we booked was exactly the same when we got there, especially loved the living room and kitchen, all the other guests were friendly and surprisingly quiet! our room was lovely and we even liked the garden. for the price, the quality and uniqueness of this place it definitely outweighed the fact of not being in the centre. lives up to it's name very chic and boutique
not a negative just feedback for next time - would love if you could purchase little extras for a more romantic stay, I never asked so maybe you do...
It's a nice Guest House, very clean and tidy. There are some pubs and restaurants nearby and a Tram Station 10 min. away (walk). The kitchen i well-fitted and the living room is quite comfy. The washing-drying machine is quite handy (the drying part in particular). I do recommend it for a budget stay, just check the location!
The location might not be the greatest, however, but it's near a Tram station and that can take you anywhere in Manchester.
Clean, quiet and comfortable with no distractions. The guest house had a living room to relax in and to get some work done which was unusual but useful.
Not as close to the city centre as I would like but the commute was easy and quick due to the metro link being walking distance.
Arrival at any time (door code given by sms), every facilities (toutes commodités), clean and comfortable, 20-30 min bus ride to Manchester city centre, about 3£ the bus return ticket (aller-retour en bus).
The bathrooms were dirty and they weren't cleaned during all our stay, there wasn't any toilet paper, we found hair in our bed sheets when we arrived and we had to stay with noisy guests who didn't wash in the kitchen and smoked in the house. We complained to the manager and he said he was going to refund half of our payment. We haven't received anything a month after our stay! Would I recommend the Guest House? NO
Cost of the accommodation Kitchen facilities Living room The room WIFI Parking
I couldn't receive any channels in my room, no signal found!
I liked the Guest house thought it was lovey and clean and a good price for what you get would defiantly stay there again
Enjoyed my stay, value for money, all that one can ask from a home from home. Peter
Nothing at all.
Very comfortable, very clean, very convenient (no desk, code for doors given by mail), tramway just 7mn on foot
Was not very sure about staying in a guest house as we usually stay at hotels but we were pleasantly surprised, it was clean, modern and great value for money for Manchester. Would recommend.
Could have been closer to the city centre, but the tram was only a 5 minute walk so it wasn't really an issue.
Quiet street, very good value, great cooking facilities. Close to Metrolink tram, friendly, helpful welcome. Actually great idea using a house share as good value accommodation.
Bring something to cover your eyes if you don't like to wake up in bright light as blinds don't keep out light. I brought eye blackout mask and slept really well.
The accomodation was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The owner was very obliging in filling me in with essential details which I had missed due to not having email access whilst away from home.
Being a person without smartphone I did not receive the enter code or room code, which arrived on my email after I had left home!
